Total garbageWorst fishing line ever. Frays very easily, breaks, and constantly gets tangled up like a strand of Christmas lights. You'd have better luck with sewing thread! However, their other fishing lines are very good.

Breaks too EasilyI bought this line to use on a bait caster for pulling bottom bouncers for walleye. Had a nice bite, set the hook and the line snapped. Thought maybe I tied a weak knot so I retied it using a different knot. Had another nice bite, set the hook and the line snapped again! It was apparent that the line snapped at the end of my rod. Maybe my rod tip is too rough, but the line shouldn't snap this easily! Thought I would save money buying the EZ braid instead of the Stealth, but now I will be taking all this line out of my reel and using Stealth instead. Save yourself the trouble and spend a few extra bucks to get the Stealth.

Not recommendedLine gets cut on rocks to easy. I also was driving in golf card with pole rigged in rod holder, by the time I got to the boat line was almost wore in two in two places from the weight rubbing the line. I pulled lightly on it and in broke. This was 30lb ezbraid. Tossed the rest in trash and respooled my reel.

I'm happy with spider wire. I have seenbad reviews of line breaking at the hook. It may not be so much the line as it is your knowledge of tieing knots.

Great line for such negative reviewsI've been using 15lb EZ braid exclusively over the last 5 years for bass tournaments and inshore fishing primarily casting plastics. It's an excellent braid, if you understand what your dealing with.
EZ Braid fibers are weaved in a long pattern vs the tight weave used in other braided lines.
This gives it and extremely smooth feel and extra long casts. The long weave also allows the line to be twisted over and over again. I have never seen a line take so many twists, to the point where it's twisted so tight you can hear the twists running through the eyes. Wind knots happen but nothing like mono/flouro/tightly woven braid.
Over time the weave loosens and the fibers begin to separate from each other giving it a thicker appearance. The color will lighten. This does not mean the line is dead, lets just say it's more relaxed.
Durability seems a bit short. Fishing artificials 2-3 times a week a typical spool lasts about 3 months.
Some things that have helped me:
- Always use a leader 1-2ft of flouro makes all the difference.
- Know your knots. This stuff is slippery. UNI-UNI and palomar work well.
- Remove the working end 10ft or so when it becomes to fuzzy.
- Back the spool with mono, keeps the line from digging into the spool.
- Spool very tight, especially the backing.
- 15lb test is the best strength for this line. Smaller has almost no abrasion resistance, bigger tends to become fuzzy and thick.
On a Scale of 1-5
Twist with out wind knotting: 5
Knot Strength: 4
Abrasion Resistance: 2.5
Body: 2 (very limp/good)
Long term durability: 2
EZ Braid is different than all the other braids out there, it's cheaper and readily available. It also receives some of the worst reviews which makes winning local tournaments with the "most hated" braid out there even more fun.
Learn your line, understand it's strengths, exploit those strengths, catch big fish.
Who do I need to talk to about buying in bulk spools? 300yds aint enough.

Great North Angler from
Really, really tough line.Purchased this braid in the 20lb, so far very pleased. It is just unbelievably strong and abrasion resistant for how thin it is. Only thing that cuts it is a sharp knife, just like a braid should be. Line feel is awesome if you're tying directly to the lure as well. I haven't experienced any of the issues others have mentioned... I just use a basic palomar knot (wetted) and then tighten as hard as I can get it. The line is slippery, so that's the only reason I can see for people loosing lures but it's also part of why it so casts well. You just have to check your knots well before letting them hit the water. Haven't had any issues with color fastness either, even after several months use, and no issues with line cutting in since it lays flat on the spool. Lately I've been using it with a long mono or fluro leader from 13lbs-30lbs joined with a basic albright knot looped 15-20 times. What else is there to say? You can rip it through weeds and brush with confidence, there's no worry about line break off when reeling in harder fighting fish like pike, AND it spools and acts like 6lb mono. It's a great deal for what you get compared to lines costing upwards of 25-30%+ more.
