Better than NothingNeeded a two piece rod on the spur of the moment and this was all I could find in stock. The handle butt is very short and very large compared to others. Tip is very flimsy and bends with minimal resistance when using any kind of crank bait or even plastic worms. I would only get this rod if you had to have a two piece for temporary use or with kids. Spend the extra $20 and get a much better one piece if you can.

It's OKI bought this pole as a backup to put a small baitcaster on and it did the trick. It was able to handle a nice size bass and redfish with no problem. The action is more stiff than the 7 foot version but that is ok for me. The only issues I have are the same with the 7 foot version, the handle is too long and the two pieces come apart sometimes if not properly connected. But it seems to be very sturdy and for the price handles well.
