since this pump cycles on and off every 2.5 minutes, even though it runs for a second or two, how long will it take to run my 12 volt battery down over the winter when I am not using my boat 4 months? Currently I pull the fuse out then,

The most simple solution is to put a switch on it and turn it off when the boat is not in use. If it is kept in the water, then you need an onboard battery charger to keep your batteries up.
