Good bat, GREAT value!Overall: For the money, one of the best youth league sticks you can buy that we've found. Avoid contact with anything other than baseballs and you'll likely be very happy with it.
Pros: Reasonable pop. Comfortable grip. Good one-piece stiffness. 11-inch drop is great for much-needed faster bat speed among younger players.
Cons: Minor durability issue. Bat bent in a resistance drill, which was surprising for a one-piece metal bat. Smallish "sweet" spot compared to big barrel models.
Notes: Experience is based on a season of play in a 11-12U rec. league. Previously, the player used a 2 5/8" barrel. He still prefers big barrels for their forgiving nature, and will likely go back to one, but he liked the Raptor model quite a bit until it bent in postseason workouts.

Hello Tee M,
Big barrel bats are used by players who play in youth leagues that allow bats with barrels larger than 2 1/4 inches in diameter. A youth big barrel baseball bat can have a barrel diameter of either 2 5/8 inches or 2 3/4 inches, and generally has a length to weight ratio between -5 and -12. The Rawlings® Youth Raptor Aluminum Baseball Bat -11 features a 2-1/4 inch diameter barrel and is 1.15 BPF approved for all associations.
