Couldn't disagree more with the other reviewerMounted just forward of the front sight. Bipod attached to lower rail, light on the top rail. Carry handle/front fixed sight are unobstructed by the flashlight. bipod is sturdy and stable. Matte black finish is perfect match to my Bushmaster. I am thrilled to find such an inexpensive option. I wasn't interested in putting a scope or flip up sights on my AR- just a bipod and the flashlight is a bonus.
I installed in on the thinner portion of the barrel, which is where the contour of the brackets lend themselves to be installed. The screws had more than 1/2" of play. I snugged each side even, adjusted/straightened one time, and snugged the allen key with the short side. I anticipate installing thread locker eventually. I want to be sure of my location before hand. I am also curious how many rounds it will take to loosen the screws. I'm hoping after the first heat-up/cool-down/tighten screws that thread locker may not be needed.

Adjustments NeededLet me save you some grief when using this hardware to barrel mount accessories. The mounting screws are too short and the threads strip easily when trying to torque them. What worked for me was drilling the holes larger with a 3/16 inch drill bit and replacing all supplied screws with 10-24 x 1 inch zinc-plated machine bolts and washer securing them with some Loctite. I mounted it behind the flash guard and use lower rail for bipod and upper rail for laser light.
