Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I had done research on several ar scopes when I decided on the M223. I mounted it to a DPMS Mini Sass. I have less than 100 rounds through it but I'm impressed. I've only sighted in at 100 but I ended up with all rounds within a 1inch circle consistently. The glass is clear and easy to use and the price is better than the others I was contemplating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy This scope has a fundamental error with the scope turrets. There are no hash marks to let you know when you are back to zero. I have taken my gun out of it case and had the turret one full turn off since there were no lines or marks telling me I had moved I shot righ over my target. The turrets move very easily in the case or in your stand you can accidentally move them then have no idea which way to go to get back to zero. I wish Nikon would buy it back from me. You can buy a better scope for less money or spend a little more money and get a real scope.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Scope Needs a couple of tweeks This is an interesting scope that is almost a really great package. My scopes parallax adjustment was never calibrated to the yardages on the knob and at 50 yds could never eliminate parallax. Additionally, when I purchased this scope I was under the impression I could add custom turrets which it turns out are only available on newer models. The scope is marketed to the AR platform group which has a typical scope height of 2.5" above the barrel but the scope is calibrated to a scope height of 1.5". This throws off the yardage on all marks if zeroed at 100 yds(if zeroed at 200 yds just know the 100 hash mark will not be accurate but all other should be close if using the appropriate ammo). The scope lists the ammo that it was calibrated for but not the elevation, temp, etc. In general if not looking for sub moa accuracy and you have figured the zero you can be pretty accurate using the yardage hash marks and can take it out further with a variety of ammunition and environments. If you use the spot on software for counting clicks to 700-800-900-etc. yards you can have fun past the calibrated yardage marks. Not to say the scope is not capable of fine accuracy if all ammo and zero are in harmonious agreement. It is really easy to accidentally turn the knobs and lose your zero if it spins a revolution or more. Its a good idea to remember how many revolutions and clicks your zero is from bottoming out the knob. I have been scrambling through brush and messed up my zero by bumping my turret. Finally, in my opinion the ballistic reticle on a 2nd plane scope is too hard to use unless you always use the same magnification and memorize the yardage for each hold over hash as they change yardage at every magnification of the scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BDC 600, shoots to 700 just fine. Using 69gr PPU Match Ammo and a light wind I was able to hit a man sized target at 700 yards from a seated bench 5 of my 10 shots. With hand loads and a little more time between shots that would have improved for sure. The glass is great at 100 yards but it really shines when you stretch it out. Clarity is spectacular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tack Driver! I have mounted this scope on a RRA Fred Eichler .223/5.56. Scope has excellent clarity and super easy to work with. I have only shot only out to about 300yds with excellent results...two female coyotes. I have only shot Hornady 55grain TAP ammunition, with the results I probably wont be changing anything. I don't believe you would have any problems with this scope, I have already ordered the .308 version for the LAR-8 I don't even own yet..yes, i like it that much, it will be the only scope I use on an AR platform from now on.. Happy Hunting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing scope! Purchased this scope for my Colt CRE 18 expert Ar and it is amazing! The clarity, the side focus, the power range is everything you could want in a premium scope. You can pay a lot more money for another brand and still not get the quality you get with this scope. Highly recommend taking a look at this scope.
