Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy Everything about this scope is top notch. I have paid two or three times as much for scopes in the past to have this much clarity and functions. The warranty is best in class as well. Glad to run across this and was just by accident. I have now replaced all 42 scopes with the Monarch scopes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent scope I bought this scope to put on my Remington 700 30.06 and have been amazed at the clarity and being able to see so much better than the old scope I replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best scope out there I can see the man on the moon with this baby. Clearer than the waters of a Fiji resort. Wish I had three of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent versatile scope! I have used the M-223 on my AR-15 in 5.56NATO for few months. I enjoyed the clear glass and very convenient laser range finder, but eventually I took the scope off as for 3-gun competitions I prefer to run EOTech XPS2.0. Recently I found on this site a little BDC manual with a reference to AR chambered in 308! I went to the Nikon SpotOn web-app and I found all the values for my AR-10 in 7.62NATO, with M-223 scope and all my favorite makes of ammo. Now I am running this scope on my AR-10, but with diff BDC values. Overall, I am very pleased with compatibility, quality and versatility of this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pot metal mounting screws The scope itself is very good, however the built-in mounting system is poorly made. Be extremely careful how you torque the screws when installing. I didn't put excessive torque, but apparently still too much. When I went into the gun room one day, the scope was lying on the floor. It fell off the rifle and crashed to the floor. The scope still works, it just lost a chunk of plastic from the scope cover and the metal disk that was glued to the top of the turret. But the mounting screws had snapped off (both of them!). Very strange. Nikon replaced them at no charge, but should re-evaluate their supplier for these screws. I've never had a screw break on any other mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME!!!! Everything I hoped for!!! I had concerns about this scope because there was only one review when I was looking to buy it.... I was trying to decide between this scope and the Burris Eliminator scopes. After using this scope and looking at the Eliminator in person it was a no brainer! I figured this scope would be good since I had a monarch on one of my other guns but good is an understatement... I wish Nikon would come out with a whole line of this scope for different hunting applications. If Nikon had a 4-16x or 6-24x with a 1000-1200 yd rangefinder I would be replacing scopes on all my hunting rifles... It was very easy to range and use the bdc reticle. I was shooting a 55gr. bullet so my gun shoots slightly flatter than the bdc reticle but it was an easy acquisition. After sighting in I found it very easy and fast to range the target and immediately make a shot. I was able to easily shoot targets accurately at 330yds and 550yds. I can't wait to use this scope more. I bought this for coyote hunting and I think its going to be the ticket for getting on the coyotes and making good shots quickly and quick follow up shots even with a coyote on the move with the 12 second auto ranging feature. I was also very happy to find out that the scope had horizontal distance compensation in the rangefinder for accurate yardage to make uphill and downhill shots. I don't see many coyotes getting away with this setup!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from AMAZING SCOPE!!!!! *READ* Purchased this scope through a bulk dealer. With a RRA Varmit A4 24in barrel with 1:12 twist and 55gr BTHP .223 federal tru rounds I was shooting 1/2 MOA at 300 yards and 3/4 MOA at 600 yards (no wind). BDC was on piont, held 0 for 1200+ rounds. Mounts easily on weaver rails and is really simple to understand the basics of this scope. So why a poor review? When I purchased this item there was a link in the accessories tab to purchase the M223 weaver scope mount. I had not seen the scope yet, but I wanted it to be ready to shoot when it arrived. So I ordered the mount and waited on the scope. THIS SCOPE DOES NOT NEED THE M223 MOUNT! After contacting Nikon they removed the link in the accessories tab for me........thank you?
