Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Ammo Decided to try due to price. Not disappointed. 50 rounds cycled through a Canik TP9SF with no issues. 150 rounds through a brand new Beretta M9. I had many failure to feed, which I attribute to a sticky slide. None failed to fire. Groups were 1 to 2 inches at 15 yards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good range ammo Fires every time. I have cycled about 300 rounds in my new Taurus G2 with no misfires or jams.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good range ammo Cheap dirty ammo good for range shooting. I fired 300 rounds through my glock17 and 100 through my Ruger LC9s with no issues at all. I liked it so much I purchased 300 more. It will get your gun and your hands dirty but I clean my guns after every use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mor reliable when used in a slingshot There is an old saying, "The loudest sound on a battlefield is the 'click' of a bullet that fails to fire", or something like that. I purchased 100 rounds of this ammo one day when I was low on funds and wanted to send some lead down range in my S&W SD9. For as long as I have had this gun it has been consistently accurate and reliable. Most often I fire PMC, winchester, or hornady through it but Monarch was cheap and I though, 'why not try it'. Well I'll tell you why not... What is the point of a bullet if it doesn't fire, or is SO inaccurate that it doesn't even hit the target? In a box of 50 I got a 20-25% dud rate, and on top of that the powder is so dirty that the 30-40 rounds that did fire caused the gun to begin failing. At the range I wasn't sure what was going on, but once home and during cleaning found that the inside of the gun was so dirty it was jamming the slide action (I clean after ever trip to the range). So in short... If you are feeding this through a semi-auto, DON'T! If you are using this to improve you aim, DON'T! If you just need something to put through the barrel and get a feel for the kick of the gun DO IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT low cost ammo. I have tried all kinds of ammo in my 9mm pistol. This ammo is great to keep costs down while having a good training day at the range. The ammo is accurate and reliable. The steel case is not (easily) reloadable. They are a little Smoky. I have heared most indoor ranges will not allow these. But outdoor is fine. Don't hesitate, buy and use it. Just be prepared for a little extra cleaning at the end of the day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Many Duds Have gone through 250 rounds and have had a misfire in most every magazine using my Sig P320. They fired correctly after reinserting, but left me with no confidence in them. Simply not worth it any price. In contrast, I've found Monarch's TMJ brass rounds fired every time, so the company is capable of a quality product.

I tried to use a box of the .45 ACP steel cased ammo at an indoor range and was told I could not use it because it has a steel core. Why did they tell me this?

Asked by: grayrock8
They probably meant steel cased. Many ranges don't allow steel because it can't be reloaded. If it's because of the steel core, it is ricochet concerns.
