Awesome TentBought this tent for my son to go on a camping trip, came home and set it up to make sure its all good and do a pre setup so he knows how ,we also used the water hose to simulate a rain no leaks all good. To this point he's used this tent 4 times and me my wife and son went on a weekend fishing trip with this tent , it preformed really well we liked this tent so much we went back to Academy and bought another one for me and the wife . This tent has so many windows and a skylight ,great air flow or just looking at the night sky . We also bought a 10x12 tarp to set up the tent on. This is an Awesome tent for two to 3 people and gear , remember were not living in it thank Jesus were only spending a few nights . But this is coming from a guy who me and my son set up our eno's and sleep out side and cook out in the back yard lol. Hope this helps.

Kitty Belle from
Held up through wind and rainSo we used this tent for a four day camping event, which was cold and rainy each night. Even with strong winds (and tents around us collapsing from the wind), ours didn't move. When it rained, it stayed dry. The only issues we had was a very small part of the rainfly shifted so a very small amount of water got through the netting (as there is only one Velcro strap to keep the rainfly in place). But, it was barely any water at all and everything we had inside the tent stayed dry. The second and only other issue we had was the lack of instructions on how to set up the tent. We were able to figure everything out pretty easy, but the instructions were pretty lacking.

You get what you pay for. CheapI bought this tent last week for A cam pout with the Grands this weekend. Tent is fairly easy to put up and is very large and roomy. My problem is the zippers on the door. First time I used it it got hung on loose fabric next to the zipper. They were OK if you were careful. This morning I got up and left my Grand daughter in side. When she decides to come out she gets the zipper hung again. I'm trying to to get it open and she starts freaking out because she is stuck inside. You can guess what happens to that zipper. On the plus side I took it back and they did give me my money back. I will be looking for A higher end tent.

Great camping tentWe bought this tent to go camping at Nolin Lake in Kentucky. We met up with a couple of my kids and their families. It rained the first night and the next two days it was windy, tent did great. The wife and I were the only ones in the tent and we had plenty of room for two cots and our personal gear. Great tent, great price.

first tent in 30 yearsI bought this tent in early may 2016. took me a lil while to set it up the first time in my yard. mind you, I have not used a tent in 30 years. it seems quite roomy for just me & my fat exterior so I packed it up & placed it in my motorcycle trailer. the beginning of june is when I used it; first in Buena vista VA where it became a stormy night, so loud that I had to sleep with earplugs but this is no form of complaint. I am a florida boy & LOVE stormy slumbers. never once did I fight with rain or water. i kept my suitcase in the tent with me as well as other things. everything was dry inside this tent. I was TOTALLY shocked!! the next use was in Niagara falls NY where it was cool but no weather issues to mention.
the major plus for me was the air flow from the covered skylight with all other windows zipped up; I HATE stagnant air. the stormy night was no issue but I am also glad no limbs fell from the tree I was sleeping under. it was fairly easy to setup. there were plenty of ground pin locations so the floor was quite well placed.
the were 3 negatives, in my opinion:
1) the elastic inside the poles is weak & allowed the poles to pull apart when trying to put up/take down the tent.
2) the tubular path the poles have to take on the outside of the tent should not have a separation in the middle. this makes for a problematic dismantle. I had to stand on top of the tent to unsnag the poles with or without them pulling apart.
3) the carry case the tent comes in is to small to repack the tent & actually be able to zip the case back up. if you wanna supply the robot in the vacuum to repack the tent then the case is perfect size.
to me, these negatives are not that bad and is in no way a reason not to buy this tent. I read a negative review on another product & the academy reply was in favor of getting the negatives so that they can improve their products. for this, I am very pleased!!

What minimum temperatures is this tent meant to handle? I'm looking to go camping in February, which is cold weather.
Asked by: jgimpson
I.ve been in this tent for over a month some temperatures going down to 28 if you tie the fly tight and get yourself a good portable heater and a good body heat reflector to go inside your blankets, you will be ok. High wind hit alabama and Ive been pelted with rain and Im dry, ventilation is good too and the tent withstood last month reported tornado winds, repairs were only needed where tacked, the pull was too much but the tent stood......

The description says it's a 2 season tent. Which seasons are they referring
Asked by: West Tennessee
Hello West Tennessee,
A 2-season tent is generally designed for camping in relatively good weather in the sunnier parts of the year. It'll cope with mild rain and wind, but anything really heavy could push it beyond its design.
