Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality and great service I had a vxlll that was ruined and sent it in just for leuapold's team to look at and they said they would be replacing it for me. I called them and got someone who could actually speak English very clearly and was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I just got the new scope today and it was upgraded to the new model for free because they didn't make the model I had anymore! Wow! Thanks for a great product and service that goes well beyond what anyone would ever expect. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'!'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in the business Yes, Leupold outsourced some of their glass making, which 99% of optic companies have done in order to stay in business. FYI, Japanese glass is some of the best in the world. I currently own several Leupold, Zeiss, Vortex, Kahles, you name it. And I always keep coming back to Leupold because of the quality and price. For the price, they just can't be beat. And remember this folks, buying Leupold means you're buying (mostly) American. I still have scopes from the 1980's that have held zero for 30+ years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A sock? I've owned and still own much more expensive scopes but the clairity of this one is as good as any. My disappointment isn't in the scope but the sock. Why would you change from a proven tool.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from disappointing I have a lot of rifles and scopes. The cheapest scopes I will buy are the Redfield Revolution or the Nikon Prostaff. I have several of the VX3 4.5-14 Leupold scopes, and have come to the realization that I am wasting the extra couple hundred dollars that I am spending on these scopes. They are not any clearer than the Nikon Pro Staff, Nikon Monarch or the Redfield Revolutiin (made by Leupold). But, what really frustrates me is this. I expected a scope to work exactly like my aperture sights on my target rifles, in that each click will move the center of impact, and exact distance. My normal rifle for deer hunting, is a Remington 7mm-08 bolt rifle. I have fully tuned this rifle, and it will shoot a 3/8" group all day long. Recently, I removed the scope while doing some work on this rifle. I put it back on and shot it. The group was about 5/8" to the right. I gave it one click to the left, and the shot impact moved 1 1/2 inches to the left. moved it back to original setting and it is dead center. I moved it 2 clicks up and the impact moved almost 2" up. Move it one click down, and it drops to 1" high at 100 yards, where I like to leave it. 2 more shots touched the 1" high hole. Hey fellas, 1 click should move the impact 1/4". Hello? I get tired of this mess. Once zeroed, the scope holds it through any kind of rough handling. I would recommend this scope, but I would recommend the Nikon or Redfield for a lower price scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing clarity in low light I like this optic so much i put it on my .338 win mag that I built as my final project for gunsmithing school. The lens coating really does squeeze every bit of light possible into the objective, cannot wait to hunt with it this season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crystal clear Super pleased with my 3i 3.5x10 scope. I had a Nikon on my deer rifle and replaced it with the 3i. Night and day difference

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super clear! Clarity. Such a big part of a great scope. I can see the smallest details at long range in poor light. I can see black bullet holes in black parts of targets at long range. That means counting points on a white tail is no problem! The scope can take a beating and still stay on zero. Great light collection. Awesome. And make right here in the US of A!
