Good enough for the MilitaryI am an Airforce Security Forces ADM, and I use the old M24. The M24 uses the 10X Ultra, which is basically the same scope, just with etched circle mildots, instead of the foose-ball shaped wire reticle that this Mk4 uses. I purchased this scope solely for the purpose of cloning my duty rifle, and I could not be happier. Everything you would expect out of a Military grade Sniper rifle scope. This is my first fixed power scope...but my 6th Leupold MK4, so theres a reason why i keep buying them. I will post a pic when my build is finished.

Army StandardThis is the same optic currently on US Army DMRs (M14 EBR) and one of the original optics of the M24 SWS prior to the XM2010 program (which now features the Mark 4 6.5-20x50mm ER/T M5A2 Front Focal optic). As I wanted to build more of a classic M24 clone, this was the obvious choice for me. I can't be happier with this optic's performance so far. It honestly outshoots me sitting on top of my Remington 700 MilSpec 5R platform. I have no doubt that with the proper skill this rifle/optic set up can reach out past 1,000 yards as military snipers have managed such shots in austere environments with the .308 out of 24" barrels. The M3 turrets are an invaluable feature for maintaining zero while making adjustments. Great glass, bright, crisp, everything you'd expect from the Leupold name. Looking forward to putting more rounds downrange and pushing the limits of my skills with this optic which will no doubt continue to stay one step ahead. I went with the classic MilDot reticle as part of my tribute to the origins of the M24, but from what I hear the TMR is an especially good tool for adjusting shots without the need to adjust the turrets, perhaps even more so than the MilDot but I cannot speak to that.
