Worst bike I've ever ownedAnything that can break has broken on this bike. Huffy warranty can't even send the correct replacement parts either. By far one of the worst bikes I've ever purchased. Stay far far away and spend some extra money on a quality bike and save yourself a headache.

It's not a 1k bike but not junk eitherPicked this bike due to price (it was on sale). I weigh probley well over the rating and have been riding a 26 duel suspension mnt bike for the last few years and decided it was time for a bike the proper size (and the other one was showing it's age from years of abuse). Before leaving the store I noticed the handle bars would need to be tightened and some other adjustments would need to be made but it fit the bill and I know my way around a bike so knowing that many of these bikes are assembled by staff that just know how to put them together wasn't a issue for me. They are not bike mechanics so adjusting derailer and trueing the rims is a bit out of their spectrum. Got it home tightened some stuff and made the proper adjustments. So far it has handled the trails better then my old one or even my buddies higher end bike.

terrible bikeBought this for my 12 year old to take on vacation. The first day the gears messed up. A few days later, the brakes locked and flipped him over the handle bars. Thankfully, Academy took it back (even though he had rode it two weeks on vacation). It's a terrible bike, but Academy is a great store.

Looks can be deceivingLooked great on webpage. Looked ok after I put it together. Box was damaged at some point between manufacturer and my house, so there were scratches in parts. The bike wasn't setup very well. It wouldn't shift into first or seventh gear. According to Huffy that's your reseponsiblity. I after i thought i had the gearing right the the bike chain went past first gear twisted the derailleur and broke half of it off. I had to adjust front and rear brakes, they weren't set correctly either, the rear one makes a horrible noise when applied. When you spend almost $200 on a bike one would think that all you have to do is assemble it and ride it. Guess again. Huffy was no help in try resolve the issues. I would never buy another Huffy again.
