What's in the Box
  • H2O XPRESS™ Graphite M Freshwater Crappie Panfish Rod
Rated 5 out of 5 by from review of h208' crappie /panfish rod I won't tell the whole story about how the 8' h20 came into my hands, but it did along with a Okuma ultralight reel. I was visiting in College Station and fishing at Nails Creek State Park. The creek was full of brush and crappie, and boy did that rod tame them both the tip was sensitive enough to allow me to thread a jig through the branches of the brush to where a crappie would grab it and try to hang in the limbs if I kept steady pressure on the rod the rod would win and we would net a nice crappie. It if you could feel the crappie approach your jig, when we used minnows it was even better. You could feel that minnow trying to get away from the crappie. I have an unnatural advantage because I have tremors and as such I add a little additional action to a jig or minnow just like I would do if I were ice fishing. The heck of it was I caught some 8 and 9 inch bluegills there also but my nephew, and brother in law made me throw them back said they were to small and they did not want to ruin Lake Summerville reputation for bluegills, told me to come back in the fall when the big ones were bitin. I don't take pictures I shake to much, Dan caught a 28 inch Striper and he took a picture of that. He caught that on a crappie minnow.
