Good for the priceI like this belt. With a few modifications. I super glued the rod holders so they would quit coming unsnapped. I super glued the belt because it kept loosening up. BUT a huge con is I have worn out the two tackle boxes. And cannot find anyone who makes a replacement in this size. PLEASE h2o start selling these boxes by themselves!

Replaces the need for a fishing vestI bought this Wading Belt in hopes of being able to use it instead of a normal fishing vest. My reasons for doing so were two-fold. First of all, during the hot summer months, a vest is generally too bulky and heavy, and no matter how the vests are designed, they have a tendency (when fully loaded) to press hard on the back of the neck. Secondly, there always seems to be a need to have some place to put your fishing rod while you are getting a netted fish unhooked and released (or put on your stringer). I can't tell you the number of times I have dropped my road and reel in the water while trying to hold it under my arm and unhooking a fish. The rod holders are PERFECT for this, and eliminate the possibility of accidentally dropping your rod and reel. (NOTE: I did move the rod holders from the side/rear to the front of the belt, on either side of the buckle, so I wouldn't have to reach around behind me as much.)

Good idea but poor executionThe belt kept loosening up, the rod holders came unsnapped easily, and the velcro on the box holster is not nearly strong enough. I lost a box of lures that cost more than this wade belt.

Excellent Wading BeltMy local store didn't carry the solid blue version, but I ran across this one. It is identical, but the only difference is that it's $10 more and camouflage...which is actually pretty awesome looking. A couple things drove me towards this belt vs others. This one has 2 rod holders not 1 (which personally I like to have a backup rod). Also, this belt has 2 small tackle boxes; one on each side of the hip. This makes access to tackle very easy. Most other belts have a single box located on the backside and those are not too accessible without having to twist the belt around. I fish Saltwater, and it has held up very well. It also works out handy for walking on Jetties. It comes with a mesh box/bag for storage as well. The belt is very lightweight. For the money, definitely worth it.
