Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't get any better as far as a Stringer goes!!! This replaced my old collapsible fish basket that I had been using when Kayak Fishing. This works perfect for kayak fishing! It is secure and holds TONS of fish. I have used it for yellow perch, crappie and trout so far. I only keep fish when I am camping =- for dinner :-) It doesn't create much of a drag when I am peddling my Hobie Kayak with Mirage Drive like the old basket I used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome stringer Bought this after seeing a friend stringing up specks and reds. So easy to slide through instead of the nylon version. Light weight and easy to use. Won't go back to the older styles.

How do you use this stringer? Are you supposed to put the fish on the floating end ?

Asked by: Sdfish
The end opposite the float attaches to your wade belt (which will be around your waist). You want to get the fish as far away from you as possible in case a predator fish wants a free lunch, so to answer your question, yes the fish are to be placed by the floating end. You do this by taking the brass probe opposite the float and poke a hole through the fishes lip threading the stringer line through. Then you slide the fish all the way towards the float end and then make sure to secure the pointed brass probe back into your wade belt.
