YB16MK11 Very poor qualitySigh.... My son (12) had used the 2014 Mako -11 for 1 1/2 years and was loving it. Unfortunately, an adult used it to show off their power and spider-ed the bat in 3 spots and pop was gone (crushing ball and just goes over ss)... Bat was 30/19 and my son now 12 had grown 6/7" since so got him 31/20 for 2016 model. Bat felt much heavier than the 1 once change. Thought no big deal he can handle it. Threw him bp. No problem bat worked he could still hit them out... 8 days later playing 3 games and 2 practices. He cracked bat himself this time... Had no problem replacing but timing was not ideal with LL 12 playoffs approaching. Got replacement no problem, problem was again 3 games later 3 long cracks that look like raised stitches and 2 spider marks were ball made contact i was in need of another replacement. again no problem but again need fast for playoffs. This is really a hassle for a bat he will never us again as moving to -3 bbcor level. tough to blame kid as he took care of it, didn't share etc. Seems like quality certainly was jeopardized since 2014 model (which i see most teams still use over 2016). Figured i would share this experience. Wish it was better.

Great pop, no durabilityOur ten year old is 5'1/ 85 lbs. We splurged and bought this for him. Pop was almost instantaneous. That lasted 3 months- before the bat got kicked out of the dugout in the playoffs (Too many deep cracks). 3 months! Easton was very fair with getting a new bat back to us in time for All Stars, but the bat is already cracking (Less than one month of use)! Shipping cost us $30. The "benefit" of their warranty will run out soon with having to pay shipping and waiting for a new bat to get back to him. Help me out here, Easton, I want to love you...but I can't justify having to ship bats back after just a couple of games. Is there a better bat for him?

A little disappointed. My son has both this bat and the Combat Maxum 28 inch.
This bat seems far heavier than it's stated weight and it is far more heavy at the barrel.
It seems very hard for a boy to control, every kid on my sons team was dying to try this bat, they all did and all but only one very large kid could get a good hit with it, and even he did better with the Combat Maxum!
Kids 6,7,and 8 don't hit well with this bat. The 2 piece design makes for a nice high pitched pop you can hear but the Maxum has out hit this bat and has less fouls and pop ups. All and all this bat is now just sitting in my sons room. He can try it again when he's 9 or 10.
Overall I am more impressed by the 28 inch drop -12 16oz. Combat Maxum. It just hits better, and all the kids on my sons team use his bat now, so much they just leave it at the plate.

Sick MakoThis Mako is amazing!! All you have to do is get the bat on the ball and then the bat will do the rest!! I have the original orange mako and it still has a boatload of pop! It feels lightweight and your bat flies through the zone. My friend has the new mako and hit a dinger the first game of the season with it!! I definitely recommend this bat.

Easton Mako batBought a 2015 Mako for my son (10). It cracked within 8 months. I sent it back and they replaced it with a 2016 mako. We played 18 games with the new bat and it cracked badly already. Very disappointed in the life of this bat. They are to expensive to keep replacing.

MakoMy son use to have the XL1 which he loved before he grew out of it. We bought a Combat Maxum and used it for about 6 months but never had the same pop as the Easton. So, we sold the Combat and just bought the Mako -11 and he loves it. Will not stray from Easton again.

DINGER SEASONGreat bat the pop is unbelievable! I used to have a XL 1 but ever since the LLWS in 2014 I always wanted a mako. Then I got one about a month ago. I got the 2015 model then a kid on our baseball team got the 2016 model . In Idaho baseball isn't popular so us getting a bat like that is huge. I use a 30/20 2 1/4 inch barrel. I have always loved Easton from t ball and my for you guys is still stand
