Live worked betterMy wife refuses to bait with live crickets. In the past she has used rubber crickets and totally out fished me. I thought the Gulp would be the ticket. We fished side by side and I used live bait while she used the Gulp's. I had 20 bluegills in the boat and she had only 1. I finally talked her into using live bait and then she started to catch up with me. I ended up with 30 and she had 18.

Best Panfish Bait Ever MadeThis review will be quick; all I can say is that this is the best panfish (bluegill) bait ever made. I read up on them before purchasing and found mixed reviews but I just felt as though there was something special about this bait. So I placed an order along with a pack of 1/32 oz. jigheads and headed out to a local pond. After an hour and a half of fishing and a hand sized bluegill on nearly every cast I was convinced. It was like feeding the fish candy; these things are that good. I even caught a few crappie and one giant carp as well. This is the ONLY bluegill bait I feel as though I will ever need. I typically fish for bass but its fun every once in a while to break out the UL spinning gear and catch a few gils'. In that hour an a half with this bait I would take a conservative guess and say I caught probably 60-70 of them (and all on one pack of 8 of these baits). The action was just crazy (and a ton of fun).

Killer baitI have caught many large sunnies and crappies on this candy. I use a 1/32oz. Jig and a cricket and 10 inch sunnies are common and the bait stays on for many fish. All I use is gulp 1 in.leech pearl white or 1 in.minnow white all great for panfish.

Did not work for me.I tried them several times over several days in a large lake in Louisiana. Got one small bump from a small kamikaze bream. Put on some real worms and the action never stopped until I ran out of worms. Tried the crickets intermittently with the worms to compare and no strikes on the Gulp crickets. Convenient to use and sure wished they worked. No match for Mother Nature.

Pretty goodI was fishing for bullhead catfish and they had stopped hitting chicken livers so I decided to change it up. I put a berkley cricket under a small bobber and it almost immediately got attention from the fish. I wound up catching 3 with this method so it's pretty effective but after a while they stopped hitting that so I went back to livers. I would have given it 5 stars had the fish kept hitting it, but overall it's worth having in the tackle box
