Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelieveably quiet! Bough 300 rounds online to shoot through my new Henry from Academy and it is so quiet the bullet hitting a soda can is louder than the round. Looks to be great accuracy as well and punches a perfect hole in the old Federal practice targets I have. Tape one to an empty gallon jug and shoot your heart out. Will definitely buy more. Tons of fun! This is five rounds at 15 yards with just a porch light to see the can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for it's intended purpose Those people giving this a negative review that "it won't cycle their semi-auto" or "can't kill small varmint with this" are using this for the wrong reason. You are not even suppose to shoot this in rifles let alone a semi-auto rifile (super Colibri for rifles) due to weak FPS and could cause a squib.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Aguila 22 cal CB's are worthless I bought these to squirrel hunt with because the CCI CB's were so good & accurate up to aout 40yards. My advice to everyone is DO NOT BUY THESE!! They are worthless. I could leave my rifle at home & throw these Aguila CB's by hand harder & faster than shooting them thru the barrel.!! I have a full brick to get rid of. They re a waste of good money. BUY the CCI brand if you can find them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Colibri not Super Colibri I've been shooting Aquila's "Super Colibri" powderless .22 ammo for over 8 years and it has been great. I left 5 star reviews/feedback everywhere. The new "Colibri" supply that is on the market (white & blue box) is rather slow, just like the original "Colibri". Aquila's first attempt with powderless 22 (Colibri) was sold in a blue & yellow box with a large hummingbird printed on it. It was slow and chronographed anywhere between 190-340fps all from the same box. Aquila then came out with "Super Colibri" (sold in a gray and blue box) and it contained more priming compound (also Eley primed) and with a chronographed speed between 580-680fps (based on lot#). It was and is fantastic. Now, they are apparently back to selling the original "Colibri" recipie but with better quality control. It's not bad, just not as good as the "Super Colibri". I haven't been able to chrono it yet, but it is much slower and point of impact is about 4 inches lower in comparison from a distance of 75' feet. On the plus side: The grouping is good and it is very, very quiet (about half the sound of "Super Colibri"). So quiet in fact, that I set up an indoor range in my home for the winter. Would I recomennded it? Sure. Is it fun to shoot? Heck yes. Is it quiet? Yes, less noice than an air rifle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 22 colibri Received my order 3 days after purchase. I have fired 50 rounds so far through my NAA revolver. All rounds fired and had the volume of about an m100 firecracker. Very quiet for a barrel under 2". Zero recoil and will take care of small pests at close range, like an opossum at 3 yards (it happened). Great choice if noise is a factor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from dud I bought the colibri ammo a month ago expecting it to shoot like the videos on YouTube showed but the ammo I got at academy was a dud.the ammo should fire around 500 to 600 fps but what I received would barely travel 20 ft at a velocity of 38 fps at the muzzle.their is deffinatly something wrong with this ammo so don't buy it at academy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun Ammo to shoot Came within a couple days of ordering :) I would buy the Colibri's from Academy again.

Is this powderless, primer only ammo?

Asked by: Cyrus
Hello Cyrus, The Aguila Ammunition Colibri .22 20-Grain Rimfire Ammunition does not use gunpowder and relies only on the primer to propel the bullet down the bore. These rounds are powered by the rimfire primer only. They must only be fired in handguns. If fired in rifles, the bullet may remain lodged in the barrel. Additionally, they will not cycle the slide of semi-automatic handguns.
