Great rod, premium feelThis rod is great and i caught my first 3 pounder on it and i get to tell it is very sensitive and strong, got the 2 pieces 6.9" MH
and paired with Promax 3.
The only thing is that the rings are not very aligned and it could be made with more perfection

DisappointedI have two of these rods, I was planning on buying more because I really liked how it felt and I figure it was great quality. I got one last Christmas and had to take it back whiting a week because the little plastic on the tip of it fell off so I was able to get a new one. Even after that I decided to buy another about a month ago, well yesterday while fishing one if them broke again. Aging from the tip, not sure how that happened but I have never had so many problems with a rod. This time I decided not to even take it back since I didn't buy insurance so I wasn't sure if they would take it back so I decided to fix it and not go through the hassle. I hope this helps to fix the problem with this type of rod, not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I just thought it was weird that it has happened twice in 6 month. This won't stop me from buying this brand, it's actually my favorite brand and most of my gear is Abu Garcia, but I don't recommend this rod.

SGT Mickey from
Poor craftsmanshipI'm a huge fan of Abu Garcia equipment, so it was a no brainer for me to get this pole in a 7' Heavy. Caught a 2 lbs bass with a frog lure. The second day I was using the pole with a punch set up and hooked up on a decent bass. The pole snapped about 12" above the handle before the first eyelet. I've never seen a pole snap that low before, and especially in a heavy action. Switched poles to a different brand in medium heavy and had way better luck with a far less expensive rod. I've had a vendetta for 4 years and love it, but this veritas definitely disappointed. I'll be relying on a different brand of poles from now on.

More money...more problemsI am a faithful Abu Garcia user. After using several Vendetta rods I decided to splurge and get a Veritas. The sensitivity is definitely good with this rod.
I was initially happy I ignored the negative reviews and purchased the rod. Well.....I hooked a northern over the weekend and snappy snap....Tip broke in two. I have used this rod sparingly over the last 14 months of ownership so it was not heavy use. I am very disappointed in the product. I'm not done with Abu as my Vendetta rods have never let me down but the more expensive Veritas will never find their way back into my boat.
