Sponsorship Information

Academy Sports + Outdoors evaluates all sponsorship proposals to determine if they meet the company's goals, needs and business objectives. All requests will be carefully evaluated against detailed criteria such as target audience, benefits and budget limitations.

To make the greatest possible impact with our available resources, we currently support sponsorship proposals that meet the following general guidelines:

  • Proposals are submitted at least three months in advance of the event to allow enough time for review and fulfillment.
  • Sponsorship opportunities offer category exclusivity – industry/product.
  • Sponsorship opportunities take place within one of Academy Sports + Outdoors' regions. Academy Sports + Outdoors' regions span across fifteen states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
  • Sponsorship opportunities focus on sports or outdoor-related events or promotions.
  • Sponsorship opportunities are for a collective group (i.e. sports association, league, school district, etc.) rather than for an individual, travel team, or individual sports team.

Due to the overwhelming volume of requests, we respectfully reserve the right to respond only to those requests that we can support. Please allow 6-8 weeks for a response.

Donation Requests

Academy Sports + Outdoors reserves funds to support qualifying organizations with 501(c)3 tax status, schools, leagues, conservation and other select youth focused groups. As an active member of the community with a grassroots focus, we always receive more requests than we can fulfill. As a result, we put guidelines in place that allow us to support pillars that are aligned with our brand, associates and customers. One of our filters includes religious and political organizations so our contributions do not favor one faith or one political party over another. Our focus is on families regardless of their position of faith or political views.

Donation requests are reviewed by Academy Sports + Outdoors from our headquarters location, so please do not submit them to any of the regional mailboxes. Regional mailboxes are reserved for local sponsorship proposals and in-store sign-up/registration requests.

If you meet our donation guidelines, please create your profile to submit your donation request. Donation requests submitted through other channels will not be considered.

In-Store Registrations/Sign-Ups

Academy Sports + Outdoors regularly hosts in-store registrations/sign-ups for various community organizations and events including sports leagues, fishing and shooting tournaments, camping events and walk/run events. To promote in-store registration/sign-up events, Academy will provide publicity assistance as we are able.

In-store registration/sign-up requests must meet the following general guidelines in order to be considered:

  • Requests are submitted at least three months in advance of the in-store registration/sign-up date.
  • Requests include the Academy Sports + Outdoors store location to host the registration/sign-up (Academy stores are located in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas).
  • In-store registration/sign-up opportunities focus on sports or outdoor related events.
  • A primary and a secondary in-store registration/sign-up date is provided, as only one organization per store, per day is permitted to participate in an in-store registration/sign-up event.
  • Organization will provide the staff for the in-store registration/sign-up event.

Solicitation/Fundraising

We do not allow any organization to fundraise, sell items of any kind, distribute or place collateral (i.e. brochures, flyers, etc.) or otherwise solicit customer support at any of our store locations or on our property.
