    Extremely Comfortable
Thought I would only wear these for hiking, but they are so comfortable I can wear them all day long and not feel like I'm lugging around a pair of concrete blocks on my feet. The boots DO run small. I normally wear and had ordered a 9, but those were too tight. Stopped in their store and tried on 9.5, and those fit perfectly. I've worn them every day since purchase.

    Pretty Amazing
I bought this boots about 2 year ago for a hiking trip to Philmont, New Mexico and love them. After the trip they came up pretty worn on the front if the boot, but still in good shape. They still have life in them for at least a on big hiking trip. They are comfortable to wear, after breaking in. I love the design and color. My only complaint is on the top hook for the lace they are pretty delicate, so you have to be mindful when you are tying up the boots. All consider I am planning on buying another pair.

    Love these shoes
I love these shoes they are good looking and affordable. I hike about 15 miles a week and the boots are comfortable and sturdy (needed for my weak ankles). My feet have gotten wet in them when fording streams, deep water gets in at the laces.  I will buy them again and again and again...

    Great shoes/great price
My old hiking boots fell apart a week before a planned hike in the Smoky Mountains. I bought these boots on Saturday and took them for a 2 mile test hike on Sunday and then 4 miles on Tuesday. Thursday was the big test as we hiked 5.5 miles up 2400+ feet elevation over rugged terrain and then down 8+ miles the next day. The soles were rigid enough to protect from the sharp rocks but flexible enough to be comfortable. We hiked through mud and water and my feet stayed dry. I survived with no major ... read more blisters. Time will tell how they are in the long run, but I was very pleased with their performance this week.

Shoes. These shoes are used for more than hiking. I use them for everyday, all day. Awesome shoes.

I have put these shoes through the ringer
I have really put these shoes through the ringer and they are still in fantastic condition. They are the only pair of shoes I wore in South Africa last summer while working out in the bush on a game reserve, and I have worn them on several hiking trips. Very comfortable and a really great product!

    Excellent Boot
Great boot. I bought these Columbia Hiking boots because I needed a good boot for hiking and walking and had broken my foot almost a year ago and was still having a quite a bit of problems with it. I needed more stability for my foot and my ankle. This boot has worked great. I recently hiked the Balds on Roan Mountain which is a part of the Appalachian Trail and they worked great.

    A 2000 mile thru hike
I used these boots in New Zealand while thru hiking the Te Araroa. I loved the support around the ankle. I tend to turn my ankles while hiking and rely on higher boots with ankle support. These are one of the best around for that. There were a lot of river crossings and at times I could walk through some shallow ones and with the waterproof construction I stayed dry. The lace up system was smooth and they always stayed tied. Great product!!

    No break-in needed!
These boots are great! It's 5 degrees today and my feet aren't the least bit cold. I put my new boots to work on a rocky, steep 2.6 mile hike the weekend after I received them and did not have the first bit of foot or ankle discomfort. FYI--I have planters fetiatis (SP?) and these boots have actually aided in the healing process.

I wish I can return it this shoes. I hiked for 13 miles and my feet hurt. I could walk for a day. No cushion inside so I bought a hiking socks. I expect more with this price.

    Best boots ever
I bought these boots for a trip to Alaska. I rarely took them off for 12 days. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. Thru airport security, rain, tundra, hiking thru rain forest, they were great. Love them.

    A Fairly Good Shoe
I love my Merrill tennis shoes and they fit perfectly but the hiking boot was a touch too narrow and short. They are wearable but not as comfortable as the tennis shoes. The boot also allows my foot to roll easily on unlevel ground. I am not dissatisfied enough to return them but would not purchase them again. Academy's service on the other hand was excellent!

    Great Boot
Very light weight and comfortable. I hiked 11 hours (on steep, rocky terrain) in a steady rain and my feet did not get wet. Everyone else had wet feet. I did wear substantial hiking socks. The boots still look good. I had to purchase 1 size larger than my normal street shoes, 1/2 size larger than my normal running shoes. This boot seemed a little tight at the ball of my foot, thus causing me to purchase the larger size. (Knowing my feet would swell and I would be wearing thick socks.)

    Hi-Tec Women's Cortina Hiking Shoes
This is a pretty decent shoe. Not the best in the world, though. I put my shoes through a good thirty minute(sometimes longer) hike a day over some pretty rough and rocky land. It only took a week and a half for the bottom to start wearing away where I mainly stand, and the insoles that come with aren't the best in the world, add extra padding.

    New tennis shoes
I love these tennis shoes. They are light weight and fit great.
