Bought this bat about a month ago, Probably used it for 500+ hits and not even a sign of cracking. Even inside hits the bat stays sturdy. This paired with a lizard skin is a winning combo. Will buy more if mine ever breaks.
The bat arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It was in a box that would be perfect to wrap as a gift
Always love playing with the boys with this bat...
Such a great bat for being plastic, looks and feels just like a wood bat. So good of a bat we bought another one. We use them both for wiffle ball. Works perfect, highly recommended.
I found a 100 dollar bat on sale for $60 and my kid loves it. I bought 2 of them one in the store and one online. When I went to go look for some shoes though, I was looking for a pair of shoes in my size while a kid that was working there stood at the end of the shoe aisle talk to his buddy about everything under the sun and never even looked my way to help me out or ask if I needed help finding the shoe I was looking for. I usually look for 10 minutes and they did not have the shoe and I did ... not get any help from the young kids working at the Fairview Heights location. I didn't say anything to get the kid in trouble so we just left. Other than that the store is really nice.
I bought this bat for my son a month ago. He turned 5 years old two weeks ago and measures 42" (3ft 6in) and weights 44 pounds. His ball distance increased about 20 to 50 feet. In other words from the time the bat makes contact with the ball and delivers the pop I was able to notice the ball speed increased to where the infield cannot react as quickly to the ball and by then the ball has made it to the outfield and my boy reaches bases or home safe. As competition gets better so will he so the ... goal by the end of this summer is to hit it over that fence!
I bought this bat for my 7 year old son who plays in a Pony league. He loves It! We bought the 28 inch, it's the perfect size and weight for him. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
A very nice entry level bat, my son plays farm league and has kept this bat for the batting cage. He has hit a lot of balls with it and it has served him well. He has moved on to a Combat Maxum and Easton Mako both are composite but still he will grab his 27inch S50 to practice.
Bought this for my 10yr old son. The bat requires a 150-200 'hit' break in rotating the barrel after each hit. Easy enough...Get a tee and hit the balls toward a back stop. We were done within 35 mins. Results great. After my son started hitting more balls to the OF, other team members borrowed the bat and are getting similar hits. Great bat for the cost. Light weight and nice cusioned grip. Do not recommend trying to break the bat in at a batting cage as they use the heavier dimpled balls ... which can damage the bat's performance. Received this information from coaches and the owner of a local batting cage.
I Brought this bat for my son and he loves it. Its not a heavy bat like some. Thanks for making a great product!!!!!
THIS BAT IS FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD BOY IN A MACHINE PITCH LEAGUE. I AM A FIRM BELIEVER IN BAT SPEED WITH YOUNG BOYS THEY DONT NEED A BIG HEAVY BAT THEY NEED BAT SPEED TO BUILD CONFIDENCE AT THIS AGE. THIS BAT WORKS VERY WELL AND SAW THIS PLAYER INCREASE HIS HITTING % BALL FLYS OFF THE BAT VERY WELL. GOOD BAT FOR THE PRICE. ONLY TWO NEGATIVES IT GOT ROLLED AROUND IN THE DIRT IN THE DUGOUT AND SEEMED TO SCRATCH PAINT AWFULLY EASY AND I ORDERED THIS BAT ONLINE AND IT TOOK ALMOST 2 WEEKS TO BE DELIVERED ... I JUST THOUGHT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DELIVERED A BIT QUICKER.
Great bat, my son loves it!! We looked for this bat in the store, and they didn't have it. We ended up ordering it on line.
Bought for my grandson just starting T-ball. He loves it and is steadily improving his game.
Best bat I've ever bought. Great balance and great pop. It was only my 2nd wood bat and it was like I had been swinging wood my whole life.
The Louisville Slugger 916 is the best bat I ever use.I stared to hit better. It has a lot of pop.
Bought this bat for a 5-6 year old left handed player and her little league team. Perfect size and price.
As with any wood bat, there is a possibility that it will break. This bat has outlasted the maple bat in high school play.
2 wooden baseball bats. No frills @ $19.99 each. Just what I wanted. Fast ship too.
Bought three of these for travel ball tourney team. Had on carved with Defense one with Offense and one for Hustle award. We give them at the end of tournaments to the 3 most deserving boys. Cheap way to create motivation and reward hard work!
Why order directly from Louisville Slugger when you can get it here a lot cheaper!! This was purchased as a desktop conversation piece and a gift.
I bought this ash wood Louisville Slugger bat for batting practices. Ash wood is really really durable and I have never seen a tee ball player break a wood bat. I prefer to use a wood bat for practice because if the hitter hits the ball good the ball will travel far and boost player confidence. If the hitter hits the ball with bad positioning this will sting the players hands which is good for a coaching stand point to correct bad batting habits.
Great bat for a child up to about 8yrs depending on your situation.
We purchased this bat for our little guy (4) and he swings it without a problem. We like the bat considering the abuse it is going to go through with our new slugger, cheap but also built with good quality.
Awesome Bat!!! All the boys on the team want to hit with it during practice and games. My little boy's favorite color is green and he LOVES this bat. Super fast shipping too!
I actually bought this bat after doing a demo day with Academy. My son was able to try out many bats. For the price this one lived up to the $300 bats they had.
I love this bat it has a lot of pop. Awesome for what I needed.

This bat has a lot of pop right out of the wrapping. I definitely recommend this bat for 6U Tball. I do not recommend soft toss. This bat cracks very easily. Off the T is fine though.
