Bought this table about a month ago- and while it is on the higher end of the price-for-performance spectrum, it's a fine product. The only complaint I really have is that the ball/racket holder is pretty basic and flimsy. Also- this table lacks expandable legs for leveling, which at this price point should have been included. Would buy again!
I bought the table wanting good quality on a reasonable budget. I got what I wantedz there are quite a few comments about the set up time. With the proper tools it should only take 2 hours. It's very simple to do its just a lot of pieces and Stiga has made it almost dummy proof.
This shipped fairly promptly to California and arrived as scheduled. The assembly instructions were extremely clear and easy to follow. It took about four hours to build and I'm satisfied with its sturdiness and convenience. The quality is very good. I don't know how well it will hold up, but it folds and unfolds nicely, rolls very smoothly, and seems stable and secure for play.
Lengthy assembly as most everyone has mentioned. Get a helper to assemble if you have someone available, screwing in 85 little screws by yourself isn't the best time you'll have. The directions are clear enough throughout most of the assembly but as I mentioned before it's not a bad idea to put a second set of eye's on it. Once assembled I am very happy with the product so far, much sturdier than I thought it would be. Having family over this weekend for tournaments so if it survives that then I ... think we will have gotten a very good ping pong table.
we bought this table over the weekend, took it home and had it together in about 2 hours. wasn't difficult but the tools you "Should" use are not what's listed. first off, you'll do yourself a huge favor if you use a cordless drill instead of a scrrewdriver. also, a socket/ratchett with 7/16 AND a crescent wrench. be sure to lay everything out first and READ the directions first. I've read other reviews by folks that took HOURS to put it together. that's ridiculous. just read through the tech ... specs, lay everything out afterwards, and do exactly as it says. piece of cake. it's really a very sturdy table. we've played on it for hours now! folded it up and put it away, several times now. nothing is lose or needs retightened. I wouldn't recommend one of the cheaper tables. this is about the best one for the best price. as with anything, you get what you pay for. NO, it's not an industrial grade table that we would put in the rec center but it will certainly last for a long time in the family game room.
Bought this table a month back and so far i have been happy with it. You will need 2 people for assembling the table, it is pretty heavy. Took me 3-4 hours for assembling, instructions are ok, could be better, parts can be segregated and packed for ease of identification. Only problem was that the parts were stapled to one of the boards. I left the pins as it is to avoid more damage to the table. Ordering and home delivery was smooth. $50 for delivery is a steal.
This Stiga Coronado Outdoor Table Tennis Table is sturdy and well-balanced. Two of our older sons used power tools (they recommend this) to assemble it. They had it up and were playing in fewer than 3 hours. They love it. A great Christmas gift for the family that will last through wet & dry outdoor weather and some rough play. The aluminum top is a great idea. Our last table warped, became what our sons called it their "Rocky Mountain Ping Pong Table. We live on the front range of these ... mountains, so its name was appropriate The play was bizarre We are happy to have a table that will last
i have had the table for a week now. the assembly wasn't too bad. my son and I put it together in about 2 hrs. the construction is well made for my outdoor porch. the only down side is that I had to go pick it up after delivery company couldn't reach me at the 1 phone number they had. after calling academy and tracing phone numbers to the local delivery, I agreed to go pick it up.
I bought this table and assembly was challenging. The support tubes are not designed very well as they are interchangeable and the the plastic washers hang up on the hinges on two of them. Contacted customer service thinking they sent the wrong tubes and received a very uncaring and uninterested individual. Modified it myself and works ok. The table is a good value other than that. My opinion, table better than their customer service.
So Much Fun... well built! Great for competitive playing or just messing around.
Ping pong tables are a great addition to your home, whether you're creating a rec room for the kids or setting up a finished basement with plenty of leisure-time fun for adults. Rainy days don't have to be boring when you choose from an assortment of table tennis tables - simply turn up the tunes, serve snacks and drinks and grab a paddle for an evening of fast-paced competition. While table tennis is a great game for players of all ages and skill levels, regulation tables with glare-reducing finishes and high-visibility borders accommodate more serious competitors. If you prefer a nonregulation table, outdoor-friendly designs with high-tension mesh or folding construction that maximizes the available space provide plenty of versatility. Be sure to keep paddles and other table tennis equipment close at hand, so you can enjoy a quick game any time.
If you love hosting parties and family events, multigame ping pong tables put a selection of games at your fingertips.
