Quad Roller Skates

Two main types of roller skates are standard: quad roller skates and inline roller skates. When you're picking out a pair for you or your kids, it's important to know the difference. Quad roller skates, as the name implies, feature four wheels arranged in the same configuration as a car, which provides a larger amount of stability and may be better for a new skater. These roller skates for sale generally look like sporty sneakers with wheels and a toe-stop brake. The roller skates for women and girls often feature feminine colors and styling so you and your little girl look great on the rink. It's a great idea to pick up some protective gear, especially for a new skater.

Inline Roller Skates

Inline roller skates feature a wheel configuration more like an ice skate, where the metal blade is replaced with two to five wheels arranged in a single line. This roller skate usually has a rear brake. Rather than the sneaker-style shoe on the quad skate, inline roller skates typically have a boot-style shoe, which can be softer for a higher degree of comfort or harder for a sturdier, more controllable skating experience. Frames - the part connecting the boot to the wheels - are usually made of aluminum or plastic composites. Men's and women's roller skates alike often feature bright, eye-catching colors, as do kids' roller skates. Grab a helmet to wear to help prevent potential injuries.
