I have this scope mounted on a Remington 700 300 win mag. This rifle is used for whitetail deer, mule deer and hog hunting. The scope is very clear and has great eye relief while still being simple enough for an average hunter to use in the field and on the range. The quality in the vortex product lines is never questioned and their customer service is second to none. This was my first vortex optic and since I have upgraded all my rifle scopes to Vortex along with my binoculars. I have also been ... able to convert two of my hunting buddies to Vortex and they are pleased with their optics as well.
This scope is clear bright and overall a fine price of equipment. The construction is great, smooth power ring and eye peice. The elevation and bondage adjustments are very positive and I love how easy they are to reset to zero. For the price this scope is outstanding I will be getting another to top off my next rifle.
I originally bought my Crossfire 6-24X50 V-Plex for my custom 300WSM Savage Striker Specialty Pistol as a stop gap measure till I could afford a better scope, but the darn thing works so good that I have left it on the gun. In fact I have enjoyed it so much that I bought a BDC for my 22-250 XP-100. Now for me to be impressed with a scope is a big thing as I'm a total Optics Nerd and I worked in the optics business for many years, this scope should honestly cost twice as much as Vortex is ... charging, yes, it is that good.
So it was a long wait until I finally got this scope. Ordered through expertcity, and ran into some issues with them. Called up Vortex, and their customer service fixed the issue that wasn't even their problem. Huge thanks to their CS department. On to the scope. The clarity on this thing is tops. Outstanding field of view, even at 24X mag. I had it on a heavily modified 223 wylde, and at 400 yards can, pretty consistently, hit the steel gong. I'm no long range master, but this scope sure helps. ... . The strength and build quality is great. Holds zero in a Team Warne cant scope mount, and have had zero issues with this great scope.
The 4.5-14X42 Droptine replaced an older 6X Burris Widefield I had on a sporter weight Ruger M77 MKII 22-250. The extra magnification really helps my 69-year-old eyes. When zeroing the rifle/scope the adjustments worked perfectly. The scope is typically Burris bright, which is an advantage at the indoor 100m range I was using. I quit shooting when I had a 1/2" three shot group off the sandbags at 100 yards. I could see myself pull the last shot to the left so it didn't join the first two in ... their common bullet hole.
While I like the simplistic approach, the clear glass, and the overall quality of this scope... Only two things set this scope back in my mind. First is the coating on the scope is not as nice as others. It leaves white marks from brushing it up against anything that is some what ridged. The second being that Burris doesn't have a app for ballistics of multiple calibers, elevation, temperature, built on the retical you are using. IE I am shooting an AR15 in the 6.5 Grendel and their chart does ... not include this. I would like to be able to enter my info/dope and have it calculated. Overall I love it, but it could be better.
Very happy with the wolverine. As my first red dot, I wasn't sure what to expect. I shot with others before, and know they can be hit or miss. My first time at the range with this I was hitting a tight group for a red dot. It was dead on. The dot was crisp and easy to see quickly. I personally haven't abused it, but knowing its durability ratings make this an awesome optic for the price.
Took this red dot out for the first time today and was absolutely thrilled after the first 3 shots. Thought to myself, no way its this good out of the box. Fired 3 more to confirm, yep its that good. The best part was that I didn't have to make any adjustments at all. Wish I would've had this instead of an A** p***t in the Army.
One of the advantages that seems to be part of the Leopold scope line is the eye relief. The eye relief is mentioned in some of the comparison of scopes that are available.. How come this is not mentioned more often.so a buyer will know.
The best rifle scope I have ever owned bar none. There's an old saying" you get what you pay for well you could certainly pay more for a rifle scope but I can assure you,you will never beat the quality of a Leupold.
I was looking for a compact, travel size and found that Steiner has this model. The weight and over-all size are great! Travel size. That mattered to me because I carry a lot of camera equipment. Look and feel are very nice. Even though these are compact they have a good feel, even in large hands. The double hinge design is very nice for adjusting to your face width. Focusing is easy enough and the optical quality seems really nice for the 22mm size!! In general, I am quite happy and ... looking forward to taking on a big trip.
I hunt in heavily wooded areas and seldom see anything beyond about 100 yards. I don't use binoculars a lot, so I like to keep them stuffed in my shirt pocket. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the optics and ease of focusing with the Steiner Champ. If you're looking for a binocular that is light weight, easy to carry, and good quality check these out.
Used this scope on a Remington 783 and noticed the amount of the light transmission first and foremost! Zeiss quality for sure! Would definitely recommend!
I bought another Zeiss scope for my other rifle i have what a great scope love them.
Bought for our 7 year old grandson. He loves them!
I ordered this Henry mount ,scope rings and a BSA Sweet .22 scope. They all worked great together and I now have an great set up on my .22!
Got it to go on new rifle. my first Zeiss scope. it worked well while sighting in. will have to see how it will hold up to hunting use.
I'm so glad I bought this scope. The glass is clear and bright. The scope adjustments were accurate and even though it's the economical/affordable Zeiss, they have paid attention to quality to keep their name and reputation in tact.
Bought this scope today, mounted and bore sighted without an issue. Fired 3 shots and couldn't believe how tight it shot, made the adjustments and it's bang on, I highly recommend this scope to anyone that has an Savage A17 17 HMR. Great price and a quality scope.
Bushnell Rimfire Optics 3.5 - 10 x 36 Rifle scope. Put it on my .17 HMR Vary easy to Sight in And stays zero at 100 plus yards
First time out I would have rated this as one star. I returned the laser because I received it on a Fri afternoon and thought it was broken and would not fit on my glock and no one was available at the call center until Monday. The tech called me on Monday and explained that it was made and did appear to give the broken look. Also explained how it fit over the trigger housing guard. If these instructions and/or pictures/diagrams had been available with the shipping packaging I would have had ... to return it and then re-order. The instructions from the tech were great and worked the second time round.
I purchase three of these scopes for fast brush hunting in the Wisconsin swamps. Once you learn to use them they are very fast to use. Optics great. I, used one on .338 Mag Sako to goo sheep hunting and took a 40 inch plus Dall Sheep in Alaska. Other scopes did fog up, my Tasco did not, we laughed! They had $300-450 scopes and mine cost under $50.00. After I shot my ram they mounted my scope on their rifles. All took a ram and this Tasco saved the day. I gave it our outfitter after then. Go figure.
Great glass, very clear! BDC works very well with Spot On Program to make accurate longrange shots.
I have now shot a box of bullets through my new Tikka .270 Winchester and the combo of the Prostaff 5 in the 3.5-14X40 with the BDC creats a shooting machine. Utilizing the Spot-On ballistics program I'm right where I want to be at 300 yards.. Ready to hit the desert in 2 weeks to hunt the elusive javalina. This is my second Nikon rifle scope I also own a Buckmaster 3-9X49 BDC which i also enjoy.
