20 guage 1 oz great load
I love the way Rio performs and with an extra 1/8 of shot this is a great round for clays and dove

    20ga 1oz 71/2
I picked up a box of this to compare to the Rem heavy dove load. They are both 1oz, but the Rio claims its about 50fps(I think, maybe more). I was skeptical, but after firing at some late season doves, I'm sold on it. Excellent "heavy" load, for a buck less. Will finish the box on some squirrels, and buy some more.

    "This is some good shoot"
I bought this for my Cimarron Model P 45LC/45ACP dual cylinder revolver and shot through the ACP cylinder, of course, with this ammo from 10 and 25 yards. I was hitting the bullseye from 10 yards like nothing. I recommend this ammo for any 45 ACP handgun. I also bought 45LC ammo for my other cylinder but haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. I cant wait. When I cleaned my gun later that night there was not a lot of build up which was satisfying.

best dang self defense round around...
I know there are some out there that says this round is obsolete, over rated or that it doesn't even work as advertised. Well I am here to tell you that I have used this particular ammunition since the early 1990's as a law enforcement officer as well as my brother officers and it has ALWAYS preformed flawlessly in anything it's been used in and as directed. If we didn't believe in it.... Believe me when I say, we'd not trust our lives to it daily! In fact I recently used it to shoot a coyote ... read more out of my Hk USP and WOW! is all I can say.

    home defense
I bought these for the judge pistol, I wanted something that I could rely on without having the concern of shooting through my walls and then the neighbors and possibly hurting an innocent neighbor in the case of intrusion. the 410 round is perfect it has plenty of knock down power with the 000 buck but its only good for short distances, in no way am I saying hey these are safe to shoot in the house, but what I am saying as compared to a 357, 44, 45, .223, or 7.26, while the 000 has plenty of ... read more short range knock down power, they have a lot less distance and your doing the best you can to defend yourself from thugs while still considering the safety of the ones around you.

    Factory-like Reloads
Fast, Free, shipping from Academy Sports all the way to Arizona. This is quality shotgun ammo that performs perfectly in my 12 gauge guns. Mild recoil and report makes shooting a hundred rounds a pleasure on the sporting clays course. The empty hulls reload beautifully on my basic equipment using a variety of components.

    High Power
I purchased these shot shells for my 12 gauge since I had nothing but bird shot, and I was looking for power shots when performing target practice. Pleased to inform that these shot shells pack quite a punch knocking down anything in your way. Strongly recommended for medium size game, and home defense.

Great bullets at a great price!
Excellent lead round for paper and steel targets. I use these for lower velocity target reloads in several of my 38 Special revolvers and lever action rifles. They are consistent and accurate. The only thing to be aware of is they are sometimes slightly more difficult to load in a tube magazine lever rifle than a full metal jacket. But that's also due to the semi-wadcutter shape and once you get them in the magazine they cycle perfectly through the action of the gun. For high volume shooting ... read more on the cheap you can't go wrong with these.

    Federal Hydra Shok
I have used this ammunition since the 90s where it was the issue ammunition of the Police Dept I worked for. It is great ammo, very reliable but the Federal HST is a newer more impressive round but with either I would feel very comfortable using it in a self defense situation.

    Great Shell
The gun club version is a great shell for trapshooting. The powder is clean burning which is important for me, shooting an auto shotgun.

Choose the Right Size Ammunition for Your Gun

Before purchasing ammunition online, consider what type of ammunition will work with your existing rifle, shotgun, pistol or other firearm. The caliber of ammunition indicates the internal diameter of each bullet's barrel and is an easy way to determine whether a bullet will fit in your gun. A common caliber is .22 and is often followed by letters, such as .22 L and .22 S, which show that the bullets are designed to work with long-barrel and short-barrel rifles, respectively. By selecting appropriate rifle ammunition and other firearm ammunition, the incidence of jamming is greatly reduced.

Ammunition Construction

Whether you plan on using ammunition for target practice, hunting purposes or defensive measures, there is plenty of ammunition for sale from many different popular brands, including Federal ammunition and Winchester ammunition. To ensure a kill shot when hunting big game, like caribou or deer, choose hollow-tip ammunition, which has a hole in the center that allows the bullet to expand upon impact, optimizing internal damage. Bullets with a full metal jacket are perfect for shooting targets, since their casing lets them travel faster.

Rimfire or Centerfire Ammunition

Ammunition is largely divided into 2 sections - rimfire ammunition and centerfire ammunition. When it comes to choosing between the 2, centerfire ammunition is generally the better, more versatile option, since centerfire bullets travel faster than rimfire bullets, feature bigger casings and hold more gun powder.
