I shoot at least about 50 a month and my shooting club shoots at least that Each shooter most of us have 12 gauge
I have purchased over 30 flats of these shells and these are simply the best for the money! Academy has a great price on these and ALWAYS has fast shipping! If they'd let me, I'd buy a pallet from them but they limit you to 250 boxes or 25 flats!
I bought these with a gift card, and they seem like they'd be worth it even if I had to use my own money. I bought 8mm Mauser, and they are extremely consistent and accurate when fired through my old German WWII rifle.
I shoot a Browning in 7 mm RM & I have tried a lot of different ammo over the years. With Federal I started out with the 175gr. because of the inexpence, but quickly learned it was also deadly accurate & a real stopper. Then when they came out with the Premium with 160gr. in Nosler Partition I switched to it, it is great, but got to expensive. So I started looking around, pretty much everything I found was to light or not all that accurate in my rifle. I switched back to the 175 gr & will stick ... with it as long as I hunt because it works like no other will. My only complaint is that of late it is getting harder to find as it always seems to be sold out. I see you are now making 175 gr available in your Fusion ammo but I am holding out for the real deal. Power Shok rules!
Winchester AA shotgun shells are some of the best out there.
Shells were delivered on time and in good shape. Price was cheapest I found online at that time. The free shipping for a large purchase saves considerable expense. With the available rebate, it all adds up to premium shotshells at economy shell price.
Great shells for skeet. Clean shooting. Cycle well
Academy is the only place I buy shotgun shells. Great price, great service, and the Winchester rebate was a big plus. Academy's prices are so good that I can't be bothered reloading.
Excellent experience using academy outdoors. The Winchester shell were perfect
Great ammunition from Winchester. Super X has been a favorite for years and it continues to be today. Big fan of anything made by Winchester. You can count on it to perform flawlessly.
First off, what works in my handguns might not work in yours. I went to the range with a Glock 19 and a 43. I took various ammo with me, 6 different brands all the same 115 grain. I don't want to put down any ammo but out of the 6, this Aguila worked the best for me. I'm no expert but I made consistent 2 inch groups with this ammo where as some of the others I could not make a good 4 inch group. I used all top name ammo from Academy Sports ( Best Prices ). If you have a Glock, or any name ... handgun for that matter, give Aquila ( means Eagle ) a try.
Gone through 4 boxes already and no problems at all! Would definitely recommend!
Accurate and consistent! Ideal round for practice and hunting.
I have been using these shells for many years, and they always fire and pack a punch!
Fast, Free, shipping from Academy Sports all the way to Arizona. This is quality shotgun ammo that performs perfectly in my 12 gauge guns. Mild recoil and report makes shooting a hundred rounds a pleasure on the sporting clays course. The empty hulls reload beautifully on my basic equipment using a variety of components.
I have been wanting to try these as they are not available locally, they worked great, clean burning and consistent.
I took a container of this to the range yesterday and blasted through it. I REFUSE to run cheap/junk ammo through my rifles..I see a LOT of people at the range using that steel case garbage and cheap filthy imported Junk. Hornady does NOT manufacture ammo like that so to find a good price on High Quality ammo without being forced to buy 1000 rounds at a time is a BIG deal. Every round fed and fired flawlessly..but that is NO surprise to anyone who is familiar with the brand. The Re-usable ammo ... case that this comes in sweetens the deal..it is NOT cheap flimsy plastic..its a nice case with a sturdy handle..definitely something you will want to keep once its empty. I search High and low to find whats best for me..and Academy appears to be the only place with this particular packaged quantity. This is a VERY hot item..make sure you get some!
Any distant bull's-eye. I am the best with the best ammo.
Great load, produces .5 moa groups over and over! Been through 40 rounds on paper, very pleased! Looking forward to unleashing them on White-tails this fall.
To begin with I like Hornady Ammo and reloading components. I saw this ammo compared with the Hornady match ammo and it shot grouping equally as tight as the match ammo. I have two 5.56/223 rifles one with 1x9 twist and the other with 1x7 twist. This shot very well in the 1x7 twist.
Accurate and clean 1/2" group at 100 yards with open sights.
High quality high performance ammo. Not cheap but no solid copper rounds are. Low recoil in my S&W Cheifs Special due to light bullet weight. Only punched paper with it but due to the construction I'm sure it will be good defense ammo. And no lead for indoor shooters.
About 2 yrs ago I got, what I thought was, a pretty good deal on an exc. cond. S&W 6906. It came with 3 factory mags. & a molded leather DeSantis holster for $350. When I finally took it to the range I got about 10% failure to extract. The empty would come about ¼" out of the chamber & the next live round would jam against it. I tried all 3 mags. & 5 brands of ammo. (I have several 9mm handguns) with the same results. All the ammo was 115 gr. I started thinking about it & thought maybe a ... heavier bullet with more recoil & ME might help. Bought a box of the Fiocchi 147 gr., fired all 50 rounds without a hiccup. Will be ordering more. It's a bit more expensive but, hey, it makes the pistol more reliable.
Bought online at a great price ! Very fast shipping and good packaging ! Thanks !
This is very reliable and accurate ammo. I have got a chance to hunt squirrel with it yet, however it did some pretty bad damage to three red plastic hefty cups. I plan on buying some more of this ammo.
I live in a small section of townhouses beside a small creek. About 2 months ago my wife went to let our dog out and started screaming at her to get back in the house. All she could get out was "Snake,Snake"" Get your gun and get your A** out here!"..I reached for my single shot H&R .410 bore and slid one of these in. When I reached our back door I saw the biggest copperhead I had ever seen in my life. The snake was stretched out sunning itself beside our picket fence. There is nothing but woods ... leading down to a little stream behind our place. Our 3 yr. old Doxie was headed over to sniff it, but she obeyed my wife and ran back inside. I cocked the little hammer on my 410,aimed about an inch below it's head and slowly squeezed the trigger. When I felt the trigger fall ..the snakes head disappeared. It flopped around for an hour or so. When I went to pick it up with my garden rake it almost broke the handle. It was a hair under 5 ' long and around 20 lbs.. I pitched it down the hill behind our place so the possums could eat it. I checked the next day and it was gone.
I love the Speer gold dot 200gr. Ammo. It shows extreme bullet expansion.
Academy had the ammo I was looking for at a good price. Website was easy to navigate and product delivered quickly. Overall a good experience. Will shop here again.
Have been using these for 6 months, with the heavy load (1oz) can score as well as the 12 ga shooters. Academy's shipping was very fast & free.
I bought the wrong product. But glad I did they are great shells.. I will use these for here on out to it proves not to work.. These shells exceeded my expectations
Whether you need ammunition for target practice, hunting purposes or defensive measures, there is plenty of ammo for sale at Academy from the most popular brands like Federal, Winchester and more. Academy offers a full range of ammo online so you can find exactly what you need for a successful day of shooting. Our selection includes:
Before purchasing ammo online, consider what type of ammunition works with your existing rifle, shotgun, pistol or another firearm. The caliber of ammunition indicates the internal diameter of each bullet's barrel and offers an easy way to determine whether a certain type of bullet will fit in your gun. A common caliber is .22 and is often followed by letters, such as .22 L and .22 S, which indicate that the bullets are designed to work with long-barrel and short-barrel rifles, respectively. To ensure a kill shot when hunting big game like caribou or deer, choose hollow-tip ammunition that allows the bullet to expand upon impact, optimizing internal damage. Bullets with a full metal jacket are ideal for shooting fast-moving targets since their casing lets them travel faster. By selecting appropriate ammunition for your firearm, the chance of jamming is greatly reduced.
