Best bang for buck rifle scope out there. I am a novice shooter that has developed my shooting skills on my own over time. I can say with confidence new shooters will have no problem with this model. The ease of use, extreme cold weather durability, and the no questions guarantee sold me right away. The DEAD HOLD BDC gives me several options for a shot at any range. If i had to rate this model for new shooters it would rate pretty high. Oh ya and I hunt in Canada so....... no time for excuses up here.
I picked up my Crossfire II 4-12X44 scope from a guy selling his guns and scopes. Needed something to put on my Ruger RPR .308 until I could decide on a "good" scope. Faye decided for me that day! This scope made me love my RPR even more than I did before. I consistently shoot sub MOA out to 500 yards. The glass is so clear and adjustments so easy, I've been able to up my distance shooting as well. I'm getting 1 MOA (or very close) out to over 750 yards now consistently. I recommend this scope ... to everyone and usually convert someone everytime I'm at the range. Best money I ever spent on a scope.
I have the HSLR mounted on a Sako Long range rifle, both are new. I was able to shoot a 1" group at 200 yards from the beginning. I plan to continue working out to 1000 yards.
Bought this scope a few months ago, and after being a big Leupold fan I can say Vortex is my new favorite. The glass on the viper is very clear, I feel you'd have to spend double the money on any other brand to get this clear of glass! The Reticle is set up nice for my .300 Winn Mag. I really like the solid feel that you get with each turn of the turrets. I can honesty say I will never shop another brand again! Thank you Vortex for an affordable and amazing scope!
I have this scope mounted on a Remington 700 300 win mag. This rifle is used for whitetail deer, mule deer and hog hunting. The scope is very clear and has great eye relief while still being simple enough for an average hunter to use in the field and on the range. The quality in the vortex product lines is never questioned and their customer service is second to none. This was my first vortex optic and since I have upgraded all my rifle scopes to Vortex along with my binoculars. I have also been ... able to convert two of my hunting buddies to Vortex and they are pleased with their optics as well.
Have always used and realy liked Leupold scopes, bought this to put on my 7mm STW and couldn't be more impressed with the clarity and appearance of this scope. Used it during deer season and early coyote season then put the rifle up and got my 223 out with a Leupold on it to finish the season, couldn't believe the difference in clarity and quality between the 2, vortex is by far a better scope in my opinion and I will definitely continue to purchase Vortex optics.
After many years of dependable use my scope was damaged during a move from the east coast to the Great American west. After a phone call I sent Old Faithfull to the good people at Leupold in Beaverton, Oregon for a going over. They repaired my selector and reworked my erector system at no charge. Old Faithfull is like new again.Thank You Leupold
my old scope was new in late 60s to mid 70s and has performed flawlessly with all its dents for all these years , and recently 2016 i decided to check to see if leupold could re purge all of the condensation out of it even though it still worked flawlessly , instead you just sent a new one ,gee, thats a warranty ,no questions or anything ,no forms ,nothing . There still are a few excellent companies that actually will stand behind their warranty and not try to weasel out . Gotta hand it to ... ya'll , you make a very fine product well worth a little extra. thanks , a.n .
this is a quality scope. there is no movement in the p o i when the zoom is used up and down. the elevation turret is positive, nice clicks and accurate all through the range for a 22lr. The paralex works great. I really need to see this scope at work with a 223 or larger caliber rifle. It's a smooth system, It's a SWEET 22 scope.
I got it 3 days ago. This is the best 22 scope I've ever had for the money! It's simple to adjust from 50-175 yards, just a few clicks and your ready for head shots great varmint scope.
Tried a BDC 4-12 prostaff on my 270 WSM and very pleased with the results. Using the spot on technology to match my bullet, I feel confident at the long range shots. I hunt an area capable of 410 yard shot, and would welcome the long shot with my accuracy in using the BDC. I have killed a buck at 325 with a double lung shot with this 4-12, and thrilled by the clear optics and field of view. I have purchased 6 in the last 2 years because of the BDC match abilities. My leuopld VX 3 mounted on a ... nice 6 mm collects dust in the cabinet now since the BDC additions.
I want to thank you for making such a great looking and functional scope. I have used everything from a Trijicon to a Vortex scope. I like them all very much. I used a Trijicon CQC scope while in service and on deployment to Iraq. I used the Vortex while I came hme. Now I am using this Beautifully crafted scope by Nikon with my .30-06 rifle. It is only a matter of time before I get my Buck. And when I do I will first thank God. Then my hardware. Thanks Nikon.
Ordered this product online to replace a Leupold scope. It arrived in 3 days and no damage what so ever. Mounted the scope on my 7mag without any difficulty and sighted in at our practice range. This is my first Nikon scope and I'm very impressed with the features and the crisp, clear images. I ordered the custom X turret and can't wait to put it to use this season.
I bought this Leupold Ultimateslam about 5 weeks ago and have used it 5 times at the range while breaking in a barrel on a CVA Accura V2. The scope is everything I was looking for and the S.A.B.R. retical looks like it will be very close to dead on once I finish the barrel break in and finalize a load using Blackhorn 209 powder. I was only looking for the S.A.B.R. to be good to 200 yds but it appears that It will be accurate out to 300 yds with the load I am developing.
I HAVE HAD THIS SCOPE ON MY MUZZLELOADER FOR 6 YEARS AND HAVENT HAD TO TOUCH IT SINCE I SIGHTED IT IN. BEST SCOPE I OWN
I wasn't expecting much since this is made for muzzle loaders, and the price is very economical, however I'm super impressed. It is very bright, even in dusk and dawn conditions, the reticle BDC is awesome, hopefully it is actually calibrated once on 9x magnification like it says(with corresponding bullet and load data), but I haven't had the opportunity to test the bullet drops in the field. However, I have tested, sighted in and hunted with it, and the illuminated reticle helps very much in ... those dawn and dusk light situations, where the center of the reticle is hard to see, but not so with this scope, it works great!!!
Bought this on 5/14, sighted in my Sig 556R the same day. Very nice scope for the money, didn't take long before 1" groups at 100 yards. Shot about 200 rounds and it held up well. My only gripe is the plastic turret covers.
I bought me one for my deer rifle and had to go back and get more for my other guns this is a great scope
i bought it a month ago and I'm so happy yes it is kind of pricey but worth the BDC make you not to worry about making the math on the field awesome scope my combo is a browning x-bolt 30.06 with this awesome scope i bet is probably better scopes out there but this is one of the best
Put this scope on my converted 10/22. As clear as my Nikon scopes.
I bought this scope for my Henry Big Boy steel. I wanted an inexpensive straight 4X scope for 100 yards or less shots. The scope is clear, looks good on my rifle and took about 6 shots to site-in. I think it will be a good complement to any brush gun...
I bought my scope a month ago, I've shot with it 3 times, the optics are amazing, crystal clear. Great features on scope. Red and green illuminated reticle are great for night hunts. Nikon is the way to go.
both this and wasnt sure what i was getting. but the reticle is suppper clear and the illumination is perfect for low light conditions, and night coyote hunting in other states. Has a lifetime warrenty, and that was a big selling point, scope mounts are not bad if your on a budget. if nott then get the leupold mounts. over all a great product for the price.
It is a very good scope for a 22 caliber rifle. Have very good vision and was easy to get it installed and pointed
Bought, zeroed, took to east Texas following weekend. Performed flawlessly. Rings loosened up after a 100 rounds or so. Tightened back up, and still held zero. Shot lots of Prairie dogs out to 250 yds or so. Very pleased
Had purchased an older model Knight Muzzle loader from local pawn shop. Had come with a cheap scope, no sling, and cheap plasitic sights that wouldn't adjust. Was looking around at scopes for the rifle, after removing sights, and came across this scope. Didn't have much money to spend on more expensive scope, so I gave this one a chance, I'm glad I did. Installed and zeroed quickley and easily. Use it for hunting now, very accurate scope and have had no issues. This is one of the best scopes I ... have bought for such a low price. Deffinently recommend this for muzzle loader shooters.
Bought the scope to compliment my Traditions Buckstalker. I was impressed right out of the box with the clarity. Shot almost a 20 rd box of 300 grain trying to sight in gun. Its on but going to drop down to 250 or 240 grain to see how the gun shoots before I blame the scope.
I like Bushnell products not because they are so much better than the others but because of service after the sale. If anything happens to a Bushnell product most of the time it can be taken care of with a phone call. It's the Bushnell service that makes all the difference with me. Good Job Bushnell.
Best dang scope I have ever purchased! BDC is just right.
I installed this on my run of the mill Remington model 700 270 ADL. I used hand-loads of nosler 130 grain ballistic tip spitzer rounds with 56 grains of IMR 4831 powder and cci primer. OAL of 3.427 @ 100 yds the bullets all touch and @ 200 the first BDC brought me to withing 2 inches low of the bulls-eye without ever reading the "how to" on using the BDC system. (It was a little breezy and a slight incline)The zero-able turrets are great. My first outing had me taking a 125 yd shot at a nice 8 ... pt buck through all kinds of brush in the late afternoon. bullet easily made it through the "window" between two large trees and brought my venison down. The next afternoon was similar, very close shot at 50 yds 30 minutes after sunset, very dark, and placed a neck shot on a nice doe. the light gathering of this scope made my old simmons 44 mag look pathetic. There is a whole lotta bang for the buck in this package. It gave me confidence I never had before. The bullet groups are tighter (maybe hand loads) but the clarity and light gathering compared really pleased me, best hunting money spent so far.
