I purchased this scope with alot of caution I've always been a Leupold guy but after reading hours worth of reviews I decided I would give one a try and I don't regret it at all I believe there better than my 3x more expensive leupolds. I've currently got it sitting on top of a tikka t3 hunter chambered in a 30-06 and at 200 yards I can get .75 inch groups which I could never get before thank you vortex for such a great product at a reasonable price
Pro's: Clear even at max magnification Crisp adjustments Gathers light very well Dead hold BDC and Vortex LRBC work great to gather Con's: Very short eye relief. I have had to alter rails to clear the scope it is so short. No sunshade for this model even though its threaded. -over all its a great scope for 200 or less. Competes with scopes that cost $400-500. If the eye relief was fixed it would be one if the best hunting scopes on the market in my opinion.
Best bang for buck rifle scope out there. I am a novice shooter that has developed my shooting skills on my own over time. I can say with confidence new shooters will have no problem with this model. The ease of use, extreme cold weather durability, and the no questions guarantee sold me right away. The DEAD HOLD BDC gives me several options for a shot at any range. If i had to rate this model for new shooters it would rate pretty high. Oh ya and I hunt in Canada so....... no time for excuses up here.
I picked up my Crossfire II 4-12X44 scope from a guy selling his guns and scopes. Needed something to put on my Ruger RPR .308 until I could decide on a "good" scope. Faye decided for me that day! This scope made me love my RPR even more than I did before. I consistently shoot sub MOA out to 500 yards. The glass is so clear and adjustments so easy, I've been able to up my distance shooting as well. I'm getting 1 MOA (or very close) out to over 750 yards now consistently. I recommend this scope ... to everyone and usually convert someone everytime I'm at the range. Best money I ever spent on a scope.
Around two weeks ago, I purchased the Mossberg Patriot synthetic in 30-06, as a combo with the Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 (For $439!) I couldn't be happier with the rifle, but the optic is what really shines. This optic is very clear, and has a great field of view. The Dead hold BDC is enough to provide hold overs for longer ranges, but not so much that it will get in the way for hunting. I will surely be purchasing more vortex products in the future!
This optic for the price is a great budget optic for a small varmint gun, or entry level rifle. In my case I have this mounted to my CZ455 Varmint for plinking and varmint control. Holds Zero, and sighted in quickly like all Vortex do. No fogging issues, or glare issues. Most scopes in the prices range dont have enough sunshade on the front and you get a glint or glare. This does not have the issue and is perfect. I own 3 of 2 are on my precision .22's and 1 is sitting on an AR15 setup for HOG. ... They are amazing.
Recently got into rifle shooting. Paired this scope up with my Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308, I couldn't be happier! I will recommend Vortex Optics to anyone that is in the market for a riflescope. Affordable. Great warranty. Great quality!
So far so good, I had this on a 22lr and used the BDC to range out to 200+ yards, was also sucessfull at medium and short range, clear and adjustable for my needs, I just put it on my 270 Winchester for next season and printed out the LRBC chart for both holdover and turret adjustment. Very satisfied at this price point and for my needs!
I have the HSLR mounted on a Sako Long range rifle, both are new. I was able to shoot a 1" group at 200 yards from the beginning. I plan to continue working out to 1000 yards.
I've been into long distance shooting for several years now and I rely on dependable, clear, rugged and repeatable products. Vortex optics is all this and more. Using the Vortex Viper HS LR 4x16x50 with the Dead Hold BDC reticle I made the longest shot of my life and possibly the longest shot ever witnessed on a whitetail doe with my custom muzzle loader at an amazing 826 yards! The tracking of this scope is spot on and the clarity is awesome! Vortex optics is the best I've ever used!
Bought a mossberg 270 that had the crossfire II and to my surprise after bore sighting it....... I was dead center on the bull at 100 yds after two shots. Fired 10 more and I never got out of the bull. I am about to order another one for 30-06.
I used to buy Nikon scopes for my shorter range hunting guns, until I found the Crossfire line of scopes...the first one I purchased, I mounted on my 16" 277 Wolverine AR for predator hunting...this has proven to be an excellent combination, for both daytime and nighttime predator calling...I have since bought another scope like this and mounted it on my son's AR I built him for Christmas...keep up the good work Vortex!
Used this scope on a Remington 783 and noticed the amount of the light transmission first and foremost! Zeiss quality for sure! Would definitely recommend!
Needed a New Scope and when I saw it on sale just had to have it. It is the top of the line and with the price couldn't pass it up
I bought this scope a couple of months ago mounted on a Remington 700 30 06.academy bore it sighted at 50 yards.first shot was two inches to the right in about 2 inches down at 50 yards on paper.took target out to 100 yards.had it zeroed within 4 shots.this is a great scope the clarity is unmatched by anything in its price range.gathers great light on them early morning and late evening hunts.took my first deer on opening day with this scope.do yourself a favor if you're considering the scope ... get it. you will not regret it
I looked hard at the rifle scopes. I felt the Vortex would be a good choice, but finally settled on the Nikon for reputation and reliability. So far two shots, two kills.
Good scope for the money. Zeroed in quickly, scope is clear
This scope was even better than I expected when reading the specifications and had in hand, I thought my Simmons 3-9 x 40 was good this Barska scope is much better for my getting old eyes and what a larger field of view is great. The scope even fit my old mounts and was easy to adjust the sight at the shooting range. My friends could not believe the price I paid vs the expensive scopes they have, I will buy another when I buy my next rifle.
I bought a rifle scope online and it arrived the next day!
P 233 came well packaged with good instructions. First attempt in alignment scope was almost bang on feel of quaility and practical use. Half the weight of my old scope despite its bigger size. I picked this scope as it was highly prasied online.
Well packaged scope is clear as a bell I'm very pleased
Great value for the price you can't beat this scope tons of features for the money you pay I have it on a 1022 1/2 groups at 50 yard
I put one of these on my Savage .17 WSM. When turned to highest power, I did have somewhat of a challenge with site picture. Could just be me not used to that high power. I use several other Centerpoint scopes and all are a great value.
Bought this scope today, mounted and bore sighted without an issue. Fired 3 shots and couldn't believe how tight it shot, made the adjustments and it's bang on, I highly recommend this scope to anyone that has an Savage A17 17 HMR. Great price and a quality scope.
Bushnell Rimfire Optics 3.5 - 10 x 36 Rifle scope. Put it on my .17 HMR Vary easy to Sight in And stays zero at 100 plus yards
Received mine and the optics are very sharp and clear and love the reticle.put in my pse fang to replace the cheap factory one that came with it
This small, lightweight and inexpensive scope is a perfect fit for the Henry AR-7 .22 survival rifle.
This is a great little scope for a young shooter just learning or for someone who just wants to have a scope for plinking out to 35 yards. If you want to plink past that I would recommend something else.
I purchased this two days ago and mounted on my Marlin Model 336 30-30 and could not be happier. I used the one piece Leupold scope base for the Marlin 336 and Leupold high rings and they all worked together perfectly. Turrets on the scope are covered so there is no worry of accidentally bumping them. I was a bit worried because of its price but I was really pleased with the outcome. It did take me a few tries but I got it sighted in @ 75 yards.
Great in low light great field of view. best $30 scope i've had. better than the bsa .22 special on my pops marlin 39a
The scope loses some sharpness at the upper end of the scale 10-12 power, but it is set up for the AR-10 platform in the .308 caliber (7.62 X 51) with range and drop information so it is better than many other scopes for that purpose. Since I have two of these AR-10s I now own two of these scopes and well worth the cost.
I installed this scope on my ar-10 by windham . Put good rings on it and took it to the range at 105 yards you get crystal clear view. Just the clarity, I'm not the best shot but at 105 I was getting 1.5". Very happy and price wasn't bad $190.99
I have had this scope for about a year and have killed several deer using it. The features are great but clarity beyond 9x has been an issue no matter the terrain or weather conditions. I have always loved Nikon and plan on contacting the manufacturer to see if they can remedy or shed some light on the issue.
I bought this scope about a month ago and it took me only 3 shots to zero in on my 30-06. I've shot with it a few times taking a buck and a few hogs. Very accurate.
