Best for moneyThis reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Floyd Burkett7 months ago
Great bike great value. You would be hard pressed to find better in this price range. Has put up with my abusive nature toward bikes tackling difficult trails, jumps, and drops. The seat was a little too wide for me and i changed it to maneuver my bike better. I broke the plastic pedals but all department stores bikes have plastic pedals and i break everyone of them. Replaced with a quility metal pair. Overall you will not find better in this price range. You may even have to pay hundreds more. ... This is a smart purchase.
Excellent ride, even better valueThis reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.CCTXGuy4 months ago
First off, I am no expert or advanced cyclist. I'm just your average guy who needed a bike to get to my favorite fishing spot and to commute around town a bit. I used to throw money away on the cheapest of the cheap mountain bikes I could find, which honestly worked fine for getting down to the fishing holes, but was a BEAST on city commutes. And those bikes never lasted very long before major problems appeared. REALLY glad I opted for this bike. It's incredibly comfortable for commuting and ... handles the gravel trail down to the waters edge like a champ. Not sure this would work very well for really rough terrain, but it's not really built for that, so it's all good. The build quality is excellent. Coming from cheap bikes, it feels good holding all metal brake handles instead of the cheap plastic. The quick release wheels will be nice when the time comes to change tubes.... all in all, you aren't going to find another bike with this comfort and these features at this price. It's worth every penny. If I had to find a con with this bike, I did notice the "cracks" in the rims that another reviewer mentioned. Though, I'd call them seams, not cracks. They are totally flush on mine and I've noticed no problems with the brakes that the other reviewer had, though I've only put about 20 miles on the bike so far. The only other con I can think of is the shifters. They shift just fine and are very smooth. Nothing mechanically wrong with them... I'm just not a fan of those twist style shifters. Personal preference there.
