    It Works....Trust Me!!!
This unit is always on when my truck is started. I travel 100,000 (+) miles a year, both city, rural, and highway. Yes is does go off at times, usually on a newer model SUV, may be from their back up alarms im guessing, but a different alarm chip is the signal. But it ALWAYS is on spot when I come up on the unwanted. Learn the chirps, and you will know whats false and whats real.

I bought it a month ago and I’m very satisfied. The feature it has that after three to alerts the volume goes down and does not have that constituent beeping till you pass the radar or store that might set it off.

    Nice price
Today I purchased this radar detector. It's a great cobra product for the price. The only bad thing is the led lights aren't very bright.

This is a kick but unit for the price. Saved me several times. I have a higher price Cobra in my car and I love it as well. Cobra has been around for ever and there is a reason they are still here.

    Social engine radar detector
There are 3 great things about this detector: price, performance, people powered.  I got this on sale for less than $100.  It works well, pick up a cruiser with instant on, plus with the free app for you iphone or droid, it marks icons on a map.  You'll be able to see threats even before you start driving.  As more people buy it, it becomes even more accurate as you have an army of citizens showing all the danger zones.  Plus, the power cord has a USB port to charge up your phone if necessary. ... read more  Highly recommend as the app still works passively if you forgot your detector at home.  If you have a passenger, they can download the app and be your radar buddy.

    iRadar worth it..
Pro - Better than i expected the app on the samsung s4 it alerted in all cases (nice) Con - Running i95 from NY to FL App crashed a number of times but i realize it was due to the my carrier lack of coverage if your not running 4g it will crash the live data is too much to edge (e) or (g) the app can't keep up.

Will It Work In My Area?

A key feature of any radar detector is how many bands it can detect. Even the best radar detector can't detect everything, but you want to make sure it works against the devices in use in your part of the country. There are three major bands in use in the United States today, X, K and Ka bands. In addition, many law enforcement agencies use lasers to measure your speed. For the highest amount of protection, find a police radar detector that can determine when any of these four types of speed measurement are being used against you.

Effective Mounting

Mounting your radar detector in the proper location can greatly affect its effectiveness. Clipping it to your visor is the simplest solution, but being too high up reduces the chances that it can detect radar and lasers used to measure your speed. Putting it on your dash or low on your windshield helps you detect more bands, but it can be a visual distraction. Both high and low placements have advantages and disadvantages, so pick the one that feels most comfortable for you.

Urban Driving

While even the best radar detectors can't protect you against every sort of speed-measuring device, there are features that can help protect you when you drive in the city. Red light cameras are increasingly common, so if you're in an area that utilizes them, look for a radar detector that can warn you of their presence. In addition, try to find a device with separate urban and highway modes. This can save you from having a high number of distracting false positives.
