PAID FOR IT'S SELF SEVERAL TIMES
This is a kick but unit for the price. Saved me several times. I have a higher price Cobra in my car and I love it as well. Cobra has been around for ever and there is a reason they are still here.

    Accurate, gives plenty of warning
I bought this about a month ago and it has truly saved me several times. I tend to mistakenly speed on side streets and this product provides an ample warning to slow down. I am finding most police are using Ka and most do not use "instant-on" which makes their radars even easier to detect. I am thinking about buying a second one of these.

    easy and reliable
I believe this to be the easiest radar detector I have ever used, instructions were easy to read, essentially a plug'n'go

Too many false alarms even on highway.
Received this as a gift from my girlfriend. We took it on a 300 mile road trip through the SW. About 100 miles into our trip, I had to disconnect because of all the false alarms. The detector was constantly chirping and not once did I see any law enforcement. Did better just going with flow and following others who had a good radar detector. Wish I could return it.

    Satified
I bought it a month ago and I’m very satisfied. The feature it has that after three to alerts the volume goes down and does not have that constituent beeping till you pass the radar or store that might set it off.

    Great detector
I bought this on sale for 70 dollars and I would have paid 120 happily if I knew how well it works. I love this detector and would buy it again.

Will It Work In My Area?

A key feature of any radar detector is how many bands it can detect. Even the best radar detector can't detect everything, but you want to make sure it works against the devices in use in your part of the country. There are three major bands in use in the United States today, X, K and Ka bands. In addition, many law enforcement agencies use lasers to measure your speed. For the highest amount of protection, find a police radar detector that can determine when any of these four types of speed measurement are being used against you.

Effective Mounting

Mounting your radar detector in the proper location can greatly affect its effectiveness. Clipping it to your visor is the simplest solution, but being too high up reduces the chances that it can detect radar and lasers used to measure your speed. Putting it on your dash or low on your windshield helps you detect more bands, but it can be a visual distraction. Both high and low placements have advantages and disadvantages, so pick the one that feels most comfortable for you.

Urban Driving

While even the best radar detectors can't protect you against every sort of speed-measuring device, there are features that can help protect you when you drive in the city. Red light cameras are increasingly common, so if you're in an area that utilizes them, look for a radar detector that can warn you of their presence. In addition, try to find a device with separate urban and highway modes. This can save you from having a high number of distracting false positives.
