I have always been a duck hunter. However, this spring I fell in love with turkey hunting. The only problem was, I stuck out like a sore thumb in my Advantage Max-4HD.... BUT, when I went shopping for new spring camo I thought I was going to have to take out a personal loan to afford anything. What I did find in my price range looked horrible. Until I went to Academy Sports & found this gem! The Game Winner NWTF Mossy Oak Obsession looks AMAZING!
These shirts run a little large. I wear a Medium but these were too baggy for me. I ordered a Small which fits very well but now the sleeves are a little tight when I bend my arms. I hope they don't shrink.
Good quality pants for the price. Bigger brand name doesn't seem to have superior quality over these...not enough to be 5 times the price
I bought these for our oldest grandson that hunts with me. Look and fit good.
Pants are very thin and cool. I would suggest an under pair should the temps be below 48 degrees. The only reason I purchased this product was availability. No other Obsesson pattern could be found. The zipper-off leg bottoms are completely unnessary. The top pockets are made of a mesh inside, leg pockets are standard. The way the pockets button close will make you a better person. I don't understand why they did it that way but I had to have this pattern. The size runs true but with ... the side adjustments, a larger size than needed will be forgiven. I would not purchase this product again.
these are very lightweight with zip off legs to change into shorts. these will be perfect for early muzzle loader season in October while it is still hot. i can zip off the legs after the morning hunt and put them back on quickly for the afternoon hunt.
I bought these about two month ago and I use them most everyday working out on my ranch . They are easy to put on. When you get these there is no directions as to what to do with the black elastic strap that is attached to the inside, however from using other brands in the past I knew that this strap goes under the sole of your boot in front of the heel to hold them down to keep them sliding up your leg. These protectors are light weight enough to wear all day.
I have only put about 5-6 miles on these turkey hunting, but that has been 5-6 miles in brushy and hilly terrain. They have held fast where I put them and are very comfortable. In fact, I mostly forget that I have them on when I'm hiking and they have the added benefit of keeping my pants legs dry when walking through dew-covered grass and weeds. I hope to not test their intended purpose, but I have no doubt they'd prevent a snake from penetrating. There's a piece of hard plastic sandwiched ... between the two layers of nylon.
Bought his for my nieces wedding and the guys said they were very nice
Was looking for something light weight for turkey hunting and for fall doves. This is exactly what I wanted.
I picked up a pair of the Frogg Toggs camo rain suits last hunting season when I knew that a frontal system would be moving in for the weekend and I wanted to make sure that I stayed plenty dry while not having to forfeit a precious weekend of deer hunting. Let me assure you I stayed completely dry and comfortable through numerous cold rain showers. The only criticism that I have is that like most rain gear they were a bit noisy when moving around.
Amazing suit!! We bought this to keep my husband dry while we are out on our side by side and its raining. He uses it for everything now, keeps him warm and dry!
i bought these because they were 24.00 a pair and they were thick and sturdy able to withstand a large rattle snake strike possibly and they offered higher level of protection 17 inches to above the knee as to others that were only 13 or 14 inches. high. i had see several large rattlers down in south Texas where i hunt hogs and turkeys all through out the summer and have come to some close calls, so i decided to get smart and researched these from academy against other brands. best 24 dollars i ... have ever bought, the zip up in the back and offer higher protection for larger rattlers that tend to fly and strike at higher than your shins and or knees. thank god i had these the evening i went turkey hunting. i ran across a 7 foot eastern diamondback and couldnt get out of the way in time due to his size he hit me right at the knee cap.. yes i was wearing the snake guards and no penetration at all there was quite a lot of venom running down them though... should brought some extra underwear that day too lol, but wasn't too much for my 870 -12 gauge and 2 rounds of turkey nitro to take care of
I'm keeping these guards next to my lawn mower because I don't like grass getting into my boots. I would add a strap-buckle like a dog collar near the top so it isn't so loose.
My husband saw these last year but we were unable to find them in his size. He was very excited to see them again this year and he loves it.
I bought a drake waterfowl vest a month ago and I love it!
I bought it a couple months ago and have only warn it a few times, but I really like it and would recommend it. Only downfall is it does not have pockets for your hands. It only has one pocket on the chest.
Can't go wrong with Drake. It's light and breathable
love these shirts, they fit well and are very comfortable made from great material
The jeans were as advertised and comfortable. The legs were long for a sizr medium.
Just got the pants in today (idk why my jacket didn't come in with them as I bought at the same time). They're EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE (like pajamas/sweat pants), but I'm not too crazy about the green knee pad look (more around the shin area). To answer all of our questions on just what temps will these work in...... They have the MST tag on them and although they don't feel like my MST waterfowl jean cuts on the inside, they're certainly the go to pant for 40-60 degree weather. With me catching ... them on sale I am very pleased with my purchase. So the reasons I give these pants 4/5 star is because they don't just come out and tell you if they're really MST and the knee pad look isn't on any of their pictures of these (they're on the pics of the silencer's though). I'll most likely be buying the silencers for the late season as well since I'm bow hunting and they're not so bulky. I forgot to mention how DEADLY SILENT these are.
I'm very pleased with the vest. All the pockets will come in handy.
Used these for the first time this week on a duck hunting trip. The weather got pretty cold on Sunday morning with a lot of wind (22 degrees/10 degree windchill). I had these over top of a base layer and normal hunting pants and stayed warm all morning long (5 hours). These are as good as any brand for a fraction of the cost. It did not rain, so not sure about the waterproofability of the bibs, but I am VERY pleased at how warm they are. Quiet, comfortable, warm! cannot ask for much more than that.
I have another pair if camo bibs but bought these #1 because of price #2 my son has same ones in men's and recommended because of being water repellent and so far I love them!
My wife likes this shirt because it is made of form fitting, breathable, stretchy fabric. The color is detailed, and the sizing is right. She is 5 feet and 110 lbs, and wears the small size shirt.
My daughter really likes this shirt good camouflage
Pretty happy so far. Hopefully will never have to test them out. Fit me at 6' 1 and my wife at 5'5.
light weight. Purchased others from other companies and like these best for turkey and deer hunting. ordering more for the family.
I used it out to deer hunt glad I bought it kept me warm in the blind
I figured I'd give this face paint a shot but to be honest and I'm not a very critical person but this paint sweats off and doesn't seperate colors it ends up being almost one solid color because they blend it a little too well if you like having separation in your colors I wouldn't recommend or if u walk to your hunting spots
Mossy Oak Obsession NWTF is an awesome spring pattern! The shirt seems to be high quality. It has a smooth outside and fleeced inside. Should be good for cool mornings. It is very soft and comfortable. The zippers are even snap downs. I am 6'4", 215 with an athletic build and the XL is perfect. Hope they carry these this fall in other patterns.
Not only is it in Mossy Oak Obsession which is awesome, it is a true to size shirt that at this point looks to be high quality... I will do a follow up review after 2nd season Turkey here in Iowa!

Keep shotgun shells and your other hunting gear within easy reach by wearing camo hunting pants with multiple pockets. Most of our camouflage pants are made with moisture-wicking material that helps keep you cool, even when you're under pressure. Choose pants with zip-off legs that easily convert into a pair of camo shorts, which are great for hot, wind-less days.
Stay completely hidden while awaiting your prey with camouflage face masks that cover your entire head but keep your peripheral vision clear with eyehole openings. When it comes to handling firearms, it's important to make sure your grip is solid. With a pair of hunting gloves with grippy palms, it's easy to securely hold guns and calls.
