Very good for the novice or golfer that only gets out a few times a year. Great value
I have read A LOT of reviews about club heads breaking off. I have used my new set of stratas for a month now and have not had a problem woth breaking clubs. I am 6'4" 245lbs and accidentally hit the ground before the ball with the driver ever now and then and it is still in great condition. If this is a first set of new clubs this is what you are looking for. All i needed to do was langthen the shafts 1 1/4" and i was good to go.
Easy to skull with this club. Need to practice a lot. I think it will be a big asset once I practice with it.
I bought this wedge as kind of a gag deal. 72 degree wedge, really. What is to be expected. I am very pleased with the quality and was greatly impressed with the steady shipping especially during the Christmas season. Thank you and will look to this store in the future for sure. Thumbs up!
I bought the Havenwood, this club is the answer for those players like me that can't hit a 3 wood consistently.
Great golf club, Fast delivery and everything just as advertised.
Took it to driving range, smooth low flight, distance great
I tested this driver and feels light and hit good distance. Taylor Made use the best technology for Golf.
I have always loved Nike drivers, this Hybrid is no exception. Hits smooth, crisp, and long. Delivered in a short amount of time. Just didn't come with a headcover.
We purchased this club as a Christmas present. It was delivered in good timing, in good conditiin, and out weighed the expectations to our son. He actually received another club from a friend and lived the Nike vapor hybrid better! Wish it would've had a cover with it but wasn't able to find one in short time. Satisfaction was beyond excellent! Too bad Nike is bowing out from golf.
If you want a basic putter, this is it. Great for practice and play. Forget all the fancy putters out there. This will show your true stroke.
As a lefty, it is had to find a great selection of putters. I really like the Wilson August and it has a nice feel. As usual Academy's price is less. Fast, fast shipping. I received this item in 2 days and it was well protected to insure no damage during shipment.
I bought these for my husband for Christmas, and he is still walking around like he is twenty years younger! He LOVES them. In his words, "They have improved my game immensely." This was the best gift I could have given him. They get him out of the house...lol! Thank you for having these specifically designed for the older generation.
Academy is doing Wilson a disservice stating these are zinc clubheads. They are expensive trampoline 17-4 stainless steel, which is hard to bend. I have 3 sets (graphite and steel shafts) and have adjusted the lie/lofts on a Mitchell golf club bending machine, and it is tough work. The spring steel fights back (431 stainless steel can be bent 4 degrees; it is hard to move 17-4 even one degree). These are superb clubs. They were designed to help the high handicapper, but also to function for the ... better players. My club pro even uses them, and he can play with any brand or model he desires. Mid-sized head, moderately wide soles, great Lamkin grips (maybe 1/64th inch oversized, which I like). Stronger lofts, longer shafts - a real distance club that is easy to hit. Medium trajectory. Good Texas iron set because of the Texas winds.
Bought these because I was just getting back into golfing. Great clubs for the money. I have no complaints.
These were the first set of clubs I bought and I must say I am highly impressed. I cannot think of one negative about the Wilson Tour Velocity.
I bought this driver 2 weeks ago and have played with it twice. I played in a golf scramble the day after i bought it and ended up winning longest drive with this $60 driver! Somehow after 10 years this driver fixed my slice. Best $60 i spent on a golf club. I'm hoping it holds up for a while and I am debating whether or not to go buy another for a back up. Great driver for someone starting out, or to bet you can out drive your buddies and their $400 drivers.
great driver for the price paid - have played four rounds and hits better than much more expensive models !
Saw this DDH and thought I'd give this $30 Dunlop a try. Solid feel with a nice muted sound at impact. I thought I'd be far behind the players in my group who were hitting the high cost drivers, but the Dunlop kept pace with them. Don't over swing and the 55g R flex Dunlop will work. Good club!
purchased this production on-line - delivery was quick, packaged safely and works as advertised
Bought this wedge on sale, and was excited because it was a left handed club, and im left handed and its hard to find a left handed club that goes on sale. I love this wedge and will buy another one if anybody that know needs one
So I had this driver mailed to my dad's place in Arizona, basically so that when I visited, I didn't have to use his driver. It's inexpensive and aesthetically looks great. The crown is black with non-glare matte finish, with yellow highlighting. I just returned after visiting him for a week, and got to try this club out for the first time. I honestly don't know if it was my swing that's changed, or if the club itself played a role, but I've never driven the ball better. I used to be ... consistently around 215-225 yds. I was driving this around 250 most times, and even killed one (for me!) at about 280 (driving the green on a short Par 4), my longest drive ever without question. Liked it enough to send it back home for my own set. I'm not gonna say the club is a miracle club by any stretch. I don't actually know WHY I was suddenly driving it so much better. But I will say this, the club feels very comfortable, swings easy, and any impact it played was positive. It's great for it's price...
It had been so long since I played golf, that I forgot I did not have a driver in my bag. For $40 this is a great deal. This a great driver for a beginner golfer.
I have only had this on the driving range so far but I can tell you it is an excellent club for players like me. Like most older hacks, we hit the club head off face off center about 75% of the time. I am no different. And we almost always hit it off center towards the toe, Again, that is me. This helps with that a lot. When I hit an off center shot off center towards the toe, there is far less twisting feel in my hands and it goes way straighter than with any other hybrid or fairway wood. If ... you hit off center a lot, this is a great club.
I used the Adams hybrid once during a round this morning and it may be luck/fate, but the ball ended exactly where and the distance I wanted it to land.
I bought this putter a month ago to replace my old putter. I love the grip, slightly oversize and easy to hold and control. I like the head and the alignment marks. The putter seems to be weighted and balanced well but could use slightly more weight. I like the synthetic face insert, it gives a soft feel while putting. The only negative I have noticed is the black finish on the putter chips very easily...you definitely need to have a head cover on this putter in your bag.
Grip has a great feel and not to heavy. Really feels good in your hands which is huge for confidence
I ordered online two weeks ago and I'm very happy about it.
Bought this club because my old one was a cheapy off brand club) My best most versatile club in the bag. Better than my Vapor Pro. Wish the loft was lower but for the money, you can't beat it.
Bought theses a couple weeks ago. I have played very little golf. But just changed jobs where we go play scramble as a group at times. These are a ladies set. but I am a 5'4" man 59 years old. They work much better for me because most men's sets are to long. They work great and I played mush better first time out. If I get good enough I can always upgrade. We always use a cart, so the cart bag is perfect for my situation.
These are beautiful but the bag is a cart bag only- no stand. I am not sure why they still make those kind of bags? Wish they had another bag option.
From beginners to professionals we have golf clubs for you. Becoming a good golfer is a mix of practice and having the right golf clubs. There are many different type of golf clubs you can use depending on the distance or area in which you are hitting from.
Golf drivers hit the ball farther than any other club. Drivers have the largest club head and the longest golf shaft resulting in a longer distance when struck by the club. Male golfers can reach distances of 300 yards or more, while women golfers can hit it over 230 yards or more.
Wedges are more of a mid-range club to help you get in on the green and get out of sand traps. Male golfers can typically hit a pitching wedge between 100-140 yards, while female golfers can typically hit their pitching wedge within a range of 70-120 yards.
Putters are used only on the green or just outside the green. Putters are used for to putt the ball with accuracy when it is near the hole.
