The rower does offer very good resistance and workout. Feels quite balanced and sturdy. The downside is the seat is a bit small, the handlebar is short and it is noisier than others I've worked out on - albeit those cost 2-3 times more. My recommendations is based on money - if on a budget then I recommend this product, if you can afford to spend a lot more then go for the more expensive rower.
I have trouble running for cardio. This rower does the trick. Add some push ups and crunches and you're done. Easy enough to put together, wife and i had it done in 30 mins. Works well and i have already recommended it to others.
Bought this 1405 Air rower 4 months ago and love this unit. I must note when moving or transporting the unit. I would zip tie the chain to a fixed point on rower. If chain comes off from handle full dis-assembly of the tension system is required, but very fixable. Had some issues with foot platform moving put a simple fix with a 3" stainless steel strap does wonders.Note you can remove both travel stop bumpers for more range of motion great for taller users 6'3+. Using a teflon lubricant on the ... rollers and pulleys makes the unit smooth to operate. For the value and benefit this rower is great.
I have a small gym in my basement and I can honestly say this is by far the best piece of equipment I have owned. It works my entire body and is 'easy' to use. I actually 'enjoy' working out with this rower. As stated in other reviews, it would be nice if you could increase the tension on the pull, but don't think you don't get a good workout without an adjustable tension. When I first started, it kicked my butt within 3 minutes, now I can easily go 10 minutes without stopping. Within around 4 ... weeks, I could tell my legs and arms were getting toned. I can't say enough about this rower except I wish I had purchased it years ago!
i bought this a month ago for my rowing machine. it does a pretty decent job. i totally recommend it.
This mat is excellent for placing under cardio equipment. I place mine under an elliptical that had a bit of a wobble, some squeaks, and it walked a bit during heavy usage. This mat unfolded completely flat and has eliminated the walking, the squeaks, and most of the wobble. Also, no chemical smells coming out of the box! Definitely worth the money!
The machine works good but doesn't have enough leg tension to get a really good workout.
This rower fits in our exercise area without being a beast. This addition gets the job done with great aerobic and strength benefits. An appreciated price and also support with responsible assembly through the recommended assembler.
I bought this a month ago, and absolutely love it! It is very high quality, well made. The seat is large and ultra padded, and formed to fit! It rolls so smoothly on the trac, and the padded grips on the handles are very comfortable. It is a shock-system for the tension, which is very quiet and the tension stays consistent, and easy to dial up or down. The meter tells calories, time, distance, number of strokes...easy to program and read. When assembling the Rower, be very sure to set the bolts out, ... categorize, since they look similar.I am a very happy customer.I am 6 ft tall and 220 lbs, and fit fine.
Bought this to help rehabilitate my knees, it is smooth & easy to use & store. Display is a little complicated & I don't really use it. My wife tried it & really likes it.
Gave it four stars would've gave it five but I don't give anybody five stars this product it is exactly what it says it is works well quiet does it's job exactly what I paid for
I bought this 470 model about one week ago and have used it every day. I bought it at the local Academy (had to check who had one in stock in a box). Got a great deal since it seems like this model will be discontinued soon at Academy. It took less than 2 hours for assembly by myself. Initially the monitor was not working (would be put in pause mode after 0.4 seconds because the monitor was not monitoring stride) but I took apart the wiring and reconnected each connector carefully and now the ... monitor works great. I love the calorie tracking and heart rate monitor. Also the fan (adjustable angle) and MP3/USB inputs for my iPhone using the enclosed speakers provides a nice workout routine. It is easy to reprogram the incline and intensity level and in the middle of a workout to increase heart rate and calorie burn rate. The finished routine is stored in History (calories, speed, heart rate, etc.). History can easily be monitored to compare goals over time. I haven't used the pre-programmed workout routines yet but will start next week. The pre-programmed routines increase the incline and intensity levels automatically. I can't wait to try them out (mountains, hills, high intensity, etc.) I weight 230 lbs and needed a good quality elliptical trainer to try and lose 30 lbs by Thanksgiving. The quality of this device is excellent. Very quite running (no squeaks or rough/erratic motions). The flow of motion when in your workout routine is awesome. I highly recommend this Schwinn 470 Elliptical Trainer for features and quality. It seems as this device will last for years. You can feel the quality in each stride.
Fits under our treadmill perfectly. It's easy to keep in place and easy to clean. Love this product.
We got this 3 weeks ago and it works perfect. We are on the 2nd floor of an apt and they don't hear the treadmill downstairs. It had a smell for about 3 days and it went away.
Bought this onsale at Academy. The eliptical part has an issue. The trainer is too harrow. If you are standing up and trying to use it, it wobbles from side to side. Also, the foot peddles are too close to the front and not adjustable. The "bike" portion works pretty good but here's what I had to do. 1st, I added a plywood base that widens the base and fixes the problem with center of gravity. No more wobble. 2nd. I had to buy a larger seat from 3rd party as the existing hurts you after a while. ... Not sure I'd recommend.
I bought this a little while ago and it was delivered quick. Was easy to put together I did it buy myself and works great.
Obsessed with this rower! I've been looking for a rower for a while now and decided on this one. I'm so happy I did! I was needing something to replace running as a good cardio workout, but something that is easier on my joints. This rower is perfect for just that. It challenges my endurance as well as my strength with several different programs to choose from. I keep it in my bedroom for early morning rows while my daughter is still asleep and not only is it quiet enough to not disturb her, ... but it also conveniently folds up to save space when it's not in use. I would highly recommend this specific rower for anyone in the market for one!!
Very durable well made machine. Smooth quiet operation. Bright easy to read display.

Steppers and treadmills are perfect for fitness enthusiasts that want to make the most of their home gym equipment. Treadmills are workout equipment classics, allowing you to walk, jog and run for miles, all from the convenience of your home. Certain treadmills among our collection can read your pulse and chart your entire exercise regimen while you're on it, so it's easy to monitor your fitness progress or stay within your desired heart rate range. Steppers provide the same mileage as treadmills but with the addition of varying degrees of incline and resistance. The steeper you set your stepper, the more calories you burn as a result.
