I bought two July 2013, took them on a weekend camping trip, two nights and they never lost any air; we even joked about needing to let some air out because they were so firm. Great product at a great price.
I needed an extra bed over the holidays and this twin size air bed was the perfect choice. Great buy and price.
I bought this as temporary sleeping mats for guests. I must say that the quality of the material is very good. Seems to be made of thicker material than other beds I have seen. The valve is finicky and I just had to break the inner membrane carefully using a screwdriver, but even with that modification, the pad does not leak air. The only thing is that after inflation, the pad is only about 23 inches wide rather than 26. Its sufficient for a smaller framed person. I would recommend this product, ... and it provides good value for money.
I bought this mat for motorcycle camping, sturdy construction and stores small, everything we needed and comfortable too!
I was pleasantly surprised. The bed appears to be much higher quality than I expected for the price. Was very impressed with the built-in inflator/deflator. Have tried out each of the 4 I bought to make sure there was no problem. The bed was much more comfortable than most regular mattress' that I have slept on. I normally sleep on a tempur pedic and this was almost as good. Can not yet speak to the durability.
This bed is so comfortable, we may have to use it instead of our regular mattress! My husband's legs and hips tend to hurt him after a few hours in bed, but this bed has completely relieved his pain. Love it!!
With the very low price of this bed, I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I wrong! 8 nights of camping and no refilling, EVER! I may need to buy these as Christmas gifts for fellow campers!
I had 5 teenagers stay at my house and it worked magic. They were wrestling on them jumping and didn't loose any air great buy!!!!!
We bought this for our 2 year old to bring when we visit Grandma and Grandpa. It works really well. He is comfortable in it, but the raised sides prevent him from rolling out. Its relatively easy to pump up - although it s a bit of a work out. I just told the other Grandparents to purchase some as well for our visit.
Love the concept of the bed but in my opinion I think the set up could be improved. It is two separate pieces that need to be blown up with a hand pump. It takes forever. After traveling all day I find it difficult to invest over 30 minutes setting it up with sleepy toddlers.
I need a bed and so i got this one nice to sleep on
Excellent seller very dependable response to any problems
I bought this for some out of town Geist for Easter and worked very well.
I love the fact that I don't have to worry about a pump anymore. Everything is built in. We use this every weekend and so far so good.
I spent only three nights on it before I bought a thicker Therm-a-Rest. Granted it was twice as expensive but I actually get some sleep. I used it on the ground - may be comfortable on a cot. Upside of the low cost Venture model: Low cost and high quality. Downsides: Too thin. Too narrow. One small air hole (long inflate and deflate time). No built-in pillow. No built in air pump. Doesn't fold-up any smaller than the thicker mattress.
I bought this mattress for boy scout campouts with my son. The two inch height allows for sleeping on my side. Also the weight is on 1.5 # and one liter in size makes this a great back pack companion for us over 40 dads
Bought this in 2013 to use as a bed. Good thick material with flocking on top. I've slept on it every night. Very comfortable, no problem til the early morning of 10-16-14. I was sleeping when awakened by a massive blowout in a seam, falling to the floor. I guess every product has a life span and this one reached the end of it's life in a grand way. Scared the serenity of a good sleep. Had to buy another. But can't do without my air sleeper. James
I needed something I could use on the floor at home while my dog was recovering from surgery and would need me close at all hours. This was very inexpensive and I liked that I didn't need to purchase an extra pump. I slept very well on this mattress...as did my dog, little stinker!
Very pleased with the price, the product, and mostly the service! Lenard saved the day making sure our air mattresses were delivered on time for our church retreat! Thank you Academy!
I got this bed to use until I sell my house just a temp But it is so nice to sleep on .Not like other blowup.worth the money
Just what we needed. Quick delivery and easy set-up.
Been camping three times with this and it is much more comfortable than the dense foam pad. Though it says its self-inflating does much better if you add air by mouth to inflate fully.
About this airbed for my daughter who is 23 and a little on the heavy side, she slept on it two nights while we were out of town it slept comfortable it was doable even the little top of it it has a soft Velveteen covering it is everything Academy advadvertised it as and more ,I would buy this item again and i recommend it to everyone else who's in the market fir a good quality and affordable air matress. Well pleased!
Great Product with a great price. I plan to purchase again in the future.
I'm an older man and need a little more support and lightweight and this takes care of both of them easy to unroll inflate and when it comes time to go home it's easy to get back in the bag and very comfortable to sleep on
Bought this for our vacation and will use it for much more.
I love this bed it is easy to use and has been very comfortable, I have used it already 9 times and is an awesome product!
This camp mat is highly recommended by our Scout Leaders who go on numerous camping trips annually. One troop leader (past U.S. Navy) mentioned he has two boys in scouts and has been leading camping trips for years, has about 9 mats at home and this one is the best for warmth, comfort and compact size when stored.
Soon, all of our mats will be Thermarest. This one just got back from 8 night wilderness campout. I'm over six ft tall, it weighs nothing, and performance is excellent
Went camping with my two boys. They are comfortable....and keep you from losing heat with the cold ground. They are a step up from the ones I used in the military.
I bought this same sleeping pad at Academy Sports here in Springfield, MO. There was a mix up at the register. The price that was rung was not the same as what was listed. When I informed the register lady, she very quickly called someone to check the price. As they were checking the price, the floor manager came over and cleared the ten dollar original price tag. They fixed the problem in a very timely and satisfactory manner. As for the sleeping pad itself, I love it. It is miles ahead of ... what I was using before and is very sturdy. It roles up quite nicely. The two elastic bands that hold it together when packed are very nice. I laid this right on my hard floor and almost went to sleep. The textured, olive drab side is very nice for what I plan to be using it for. In the winters in Minnesota, you need lots of insulation. The textured side will help keep the pad in place so I always have my insulation from the snow. The flat, coyote/vegetation colored side would work well when just sitting in my tent. The pad is very long and fits my 6'5 frame quite well. This is good because some pads do not always reach long enough for my head and my lower legs. This does. Over all, I love this piece of gear. It has already earned a place in my pack. I would recommend this to anyone who needs it.
I have owned 2 of these beds for over two years and have camped with them in temperatures below freezing and above 100 and they have worked really well. I am very comfortable sleeping on it, and it has been very durable. We also pull them out for the occasional sleep over and they are good for that too. The longest we've used them at any one time was 5 nights, and they worked fine. They inflate fast, can be adjusted to be firmer or softer and have stood up to the abuse of my 8-year-old son ... jumping on them. We are about to buy another one to replace a different brand of air mattress that has not worked so well and that cost a lot more money. I love that they roll up into the carrying case it makes them easy to store and carry. We store these in our shed when we aren't using them and it isn't heated or air conditioned, but it doesn't seem to have caused them any harm. I highly recommend them for short car camping trips.
I bought this because I had had a coleman and it was great. This one is not so great...It is very thin... I guess I will use for my nieces...
