Love it all except the leaks
I've had it since June and just took it out for the third time. It's an extremely stable kayak and the seat makes you want to fall asleep it's so comfy. I realized after my recent outing that the hull had about a half gallon of water in it and I'm not sure which part of the boat is leaking. If anyone has similar issues please share.

This is a very stable and well equipped kayak
I waited nine months until this New kayak came out an I was not disappointed . It's an innovative design with the wider hull and this is my second pelican kayak because I love the ramex material . The new seat is super comfy for long trips, large storage compartment will hold fishing rods

Good stable kayak, lacks room in front
I bought this kayak so I could take a second person with me on the water, but wanted something that handles easily with just myself. It did great with just me in it, and rides ok with a person in the front, however, the front seat doesn't have much leg room. The person would need to be the smaller type to be comfortable. When by myself I just put a cooler and other gear in the front and it's great. Super stable! For the price, it's a great kayak.

    decent enough for the money
We purchased 2 Pelican Kayaks at Academy in Ft. Smith, AR this past weekend, one of which was this one. The workers at the store were great and all-in-all the kayak performs well. Like some of the other reviews, it does sit a little low in the water and it does take on some water. My only problem was that the seat gets wet quick so you're sitting in water the whole time. It also was a little difficult to maneuver do to it's length for me (I'm pretty new to all of this). That was the only ... read more two problems though. It tracks well and we were out on the water for a couple of hours without feeling tired. Looking forward to taking it back out.

A really great kayak for the beginner
This kayak is extremely light and moves so easily on the water that it is amazing. The lightest touch of the paddle will get this kayak moving, it has great speed and stability plus it is very comfortable. The drawback to this kayak is that it does not track well, every paddle stroke will cause the nose to wag, no big deal since it is so light that you can keep it going when you want it, however, as soon as you stop paddling it will turn around and not go straight. Minor annoyance and one that I ... read more overlook because of the lightweight, stability and speed. A very nice kayak for the money.

    Awesome value!
I bought this Kayak because I wanted to do some fishing and paddling on both lakes and rivers. The sit in design is excellent for that purpose. I took it on the water two hours after purchasing and it handled wind and very choppy water on the lake with ease. I paddled into a headwind and sustained surprising speed. Excellent control. The quick lock hatch was perfect for my wallet and keys to stay dry. I put two poles in the flush mount rod holders and they stayed in place very well even on the ... read more rough water. My tackle box fit nicely in the rear under the bungees. The seat was actually very comfortable once I adjusted it for my posture. My only complaint and reason for the 4 star is due to the carrying handles both breaking LITERALLY before leaving the store. The rope used is just very low quality and severed even though the openings weren't sharp. We even checked another of the same model and it's cords were also starting to fray. I had to buy new handles just to take it out side easily. Otherwise, excellent value on a very stable and fast kayak.

    Love it!
This is my first kayak. My problem has been that I couldn't find one comfortable for my bad back and leg hamstrings that are tight. So when I got this one I sat on it at home and it was actually pretty nice. All I did was add a soft stadium seat to it that also allows me to quickly adjust the straps on the sides for the desired back angle I want. The same can be done with the hard back that is on the kayak. I've taken it out now about 6 times and my back actually feels good sitting and ... read more paddling on it. Someday I'll take up fishing with it. This kayak is very stable. I'd have to really work hard in trying to tip it over. I've leaned way to the side seeing how it would do and it still stays very stable. I did get those kayak wheels to wheel it to the water since I sometimes have parked somewhat far from the water (about a 10 minute walk) and it makes transporting the kayak very easy. I just strap the wheels in back of the kayak when I get in the water. This thing will float over such shallow water, too. I'm surprised it is so inexpensive for what you're getting.
