We took a trip with what we thought would be a good bike rack, but shortly after starting the highway drive we couldn't take the stress of feeling like the bikes we going to shake lose. So, we found the nearest bike shop and bought a Bones 3. The remainder of the trip we felt totally secure our bikes would make the trip! Well, they travelled the 900 highway miles safe and secure with us. Since then we have also purchased a Bones 2 for our other car. Totally trust these racks and well worth every $.
The best thing about bones 3 is it can be installed on both hatchback and sedan. Whether you go off-road or cruise around the city you don't need to worry about the bikes. I got my bones 3 1.5 years ago and ever since I have bought my life has been easier as I used to stash my bike in the trunk of my car. However, despite the rubber grips it has left some scratches on my rear bumper but I still love it.
Use for both mountain bikes and road bikes. Easily adjustable to fit any configuration of bike sizes and types. If I had a suggestion for Saris it would be that an additional 1/2" of space between the bikes would be welcomed - some combos take a bit of fiddling to make sure bikes aren't rubbing together. Super solid and secure, safe for carbon frames as the wheels are supported underneath - the frame clamp doesn't support the weight of the frame.
This will hold most bikes on the market today. Now given that I don't own a fat bike I cannot speak for that! But I have had my TT bike on there, road bikes, Cruisers, MTN Bikes and they all work fine given that you can adjust the height for the clamps and the wheelbase. I would not trust any other bike rack to carry my pride and joy, so this is legit!! Oh also, since it is "hitch" based, it works on my car and on our family's truck.
This bike is absolutely gorgeous, perfect colour purple with a sparkle to it. This picture doesn't do it justice. Fairly straight forward going together. Made a dream come true for this little (not so little 12 y.o.) girl. Thanks Academy. Shipping was quick and smooth.
Christmas gift for grand daughter, she loves it and purple is her favorite color!
I am 100% satisfied with this jogging stroller, having previously owned a Schwinn Jogging stroller which did not have a swivel front wheel and made turning in any direction painstaking. I would highly recommend this stroller to anyone not just joggers, as it has been so pleasant to use in stores such as Lowes, in the mall, and outside at farmers markets.
I purchased this for my wife who wanted a more rugged stroller for jogging with out little one. The excitement she had when opened was great to see. Very easy to install the tires, the rest was already built. Great to see her and baby happy, just hope we don't have to buy the double stroller anytime soon!
Outstanding girls bike. She loves it. Lots of bling! Great buy, great price. Fast shipping! Highly recommend this seller to anyone! A +++++☆☆☆☆☆
Bought for my six year old daughter for Christmas. A little big for her. She loves the tassels on handlebars and "girls rules" all over it.
We bought this for our 7 yr old as a gift & he absolutely loves it! It spins and rides close to the ground. It would be ok for a little younger age as well and probably until they are about 8 or so. It has a brake on it and is very easy to spin (fun for littles). It seems to be made of pretty good quality material that will be durable. It has already produced hours of entertainment.
I purchased this and it is so much fun for the family. My 5 and 8 year old kids love to use this and it is very solid. The Sparks work great and I am thinking about purchasing a second one. Even my wife enjoys it lol.
I got this bike for my 3 1/2 year old Grandson and had it shipped because I live in another State He loves this bike. Easy to handle and put together. Colors are bright as in Pictures. Can't beat the Price.
My son wanted these to match his helmet. They look a little small, but he says they do fit. They seem of good quality although he has not used them much yet.
Love the bright color. Easy to put on our little ones knees and elbows and the gloves make him feel cool.
Bought this for my kid. Came with good packing..no wear and tear. Got a steal deal at Academy. Happy customer
Christmas gift hope it fits and we will see if she likes it.
very good light is bright it lasts and wont come loose or fall over eny bumps!!
So far so good. Early days yet , so no complaints.
Bought this for pulling behind my bike and found it really easy to use and very compact. My kids loved it.
I like the fact that this bike has an aluminum frame to reduce some of the weight. The bike is fun to ride, very smooth, handles the rough terrain extremely well. Only 7 speeds, but for the type of riding you are looking for with a Fat Tire you don't need a lot of gears. Assembly out of the crate was a piece of cake. The price was a good deal, that always helps.
Real easy to assemble out of the box, very lite frame, and extremely easy to ride. Glad I got this one, also get a lot of compliments.
Does the job and I do not have anything else to say.
The water bag is great, no leak, easy to fill, easy to drink. The back pack has so many different sizes pockets, very convenient to put all other stuffs in.
Very easy to assemble. My son love it. rides great
Got this bike about 3 weeks ago for my 11 year old son He loved it. Rides it regularly and is comfortable for him. Had to put seat all the way down but clamp made it easy to adjust. Seems to be a good product that he will be able to grow into for the next few years. Will probably get the adult versions of this bike for myself and wife.
I love this bike. Wonderful ride and the brakes are great. Very well built. Whenever give it five stars but the seat is a little hard
We bought this bike as a 9th birthday present for our daughter - she is a very novice bike rider having just learned two wheels on her brothers bike last fall. She is in that weird age/bike-size between 20" and 24" (since 22" bikes are apparently no longer made). She liked this one the best out all the 24" bikes she saw. She is 50-1/4" tall, and with the seat slammed all the way down, probably the very minimum height that could safely ride this bike. She rides in a nice upright position with ... very slight elbow bend to reach handle bars. Since it is a hybrid there are a few things that are really nice about it. The weight is much lighter than a "Mountain" bike. She liked the thinner tires - less work to ride too. The drop on the frame (stand over height) fit her well - she was able to straddle the frame easily - an issue with a couple she tried. The bike she learned on had coaster brakes, so we were worried how she would adjust to hand brakes - it never became an issue before she had it figured out. We would have liked a 7 speed (single sprocket up front), but during the first ride she already had the shifting somewhat figured out. She liked the way the grips felt - she really did not like the grips, or handle bars, on the "Cruiser" bikes. I agree, she really struggled in the store with the handle bars and hand positioning on the cruiser bikes. Overall, mom, dad, and daughter are really happy with the choice - nothing but smiles while she was riding.
I had this exact pack about a year and may need a new bladder now. Is leaking from a little rip at the bottom. Not complaining at all ! I have taken this thing out kiteboarding over 70 times. After every use, I fill it back up with drinking water and toss it in the freezer. Allows me to sip on some ice cold water up to an hour after being out in the hot Corpus Christi Bay. Gonna try and repair the little rip with Tear-Aid. If that don't work, it's not a big deal. Academy sells ... replacement bladders for 10 bucks ! I rarely see other kiteboarders use these things, but I'm not gonna dehydrate like a sucker ! Get one, for 20 bucks, you can't go wrong.
keeps cold water in the bag cool of atleast 4hrs in 100 degree weather
