I've been wanting a pair of these for umpiring. Everywhere I looked they were $65 to $75. I was just about to order some and decided to look at Academy. I got them for $42 shipped to my house. I should add I received them in 2 days. They perform perfectly and extremely comfortable. Yesterday I umpired 14 games and my feet never hurt.
Order a size up! Purchased a pair for my daughter and I, both had to be exchanged for one size larger
The cleats fit perfect. They are just what I wanted.
I bought these shoes a couple months ago and have played about 12 softball games with them. I like these shoes and they have felt good on my feet. They are comfortable and easy to run while wearing. I also like the look better than most baseball cleats.
I bought these shoes for my son and he loves them. He says they are comfortable and has great grip.
The designe of the shoe is awsome and i like the comfort of the shoe. I am seriously thinking of getting the red ones.
4.5 Star rating. Only because The color scheme of the cleats on the Academy web side was not the same as the cleats I received. The white was missing along the front of the cleats, missing on the bottom of the sole and around the front of the toe area as seen in the Academy web-site picture. Picky? Yes but that's what I wanted. The color scheme of the cleats on the Academy site has a lot of character. .5 from an Excellent 5 star rating only because the color scheme on the cleats I received was ... not the same as seen on the web site. Missing a little character. They do feel good.
My son loves those cleats. All of the team has bought these to look like pros. Awesome!
This is the second pair of this style cleat that has been purchased in my household. We first bought a pair for my 11 year old son, then this pair was purchased for my 13 year old daughter for softball. Both of my kids like the comfort and performance so far for these cleats. The life span or wear is not known since both pair are new, but with kids still growing not sure if anyone with kids at this age can vouch for durability.
I bought these for my son and he loves them. They fit great.
My son loves these cleats his whole team is wearing them new balance was a good choice at a low price
He loved the shoes we will be ordering a other pair of shoes
I loved that the shoe was wear ready because it was wider and comfortable for my grandson feet from day 1. it is often hard to find a good fitting shoe. Thanks!
I bought a pair of Under Armour cleats a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with the quick delivery and quality of my purchase.
Love the shoes, they look good. Exactly like the photo and they fit true to size.
new balance is just about the only brand my 10 year old can wear, hes got such a wide foot.. these are not quite as wide as others hes wore, but the cleats seem to be pretty soft his feet havent hurt his feet at all..after a double header baseball game he is usually hobbling off the baseball field..he hasnt hobbled since hes been wearing these.. his foot is a size 10 now and i wish i knew what sz it will be next summer,i would order another pair before they change these or discontinue them completely..
My son said these were his favorite so far. He's a catcher and likes how light and flexible these are.
I agree with flyboy on the difficulty to get them on at first HOWEVER I liked that because it felt more structurally sound as a result, these are waaaaaay lighter than you'd think considering they're mid tops, and the cushioning is amazing, they give a sort of "feedback" to each step, sort of like little launching pads so if you're fast these aid your sprinting A LOT! I'm a bit of a slap hitter in slowpitch so I rely on my speed and these definitely help compared to the other cleats I've used ... (Keystones, Mizuno 9 spikes and Under Armor) highly highly recommended!
These cleats are somewhat tough to get on at first with the attached tongue. But once they get broken in, it is much easier. Super comfy and really light.
I wanted to find a light pair of white cleats for summer. They are exactly what I wanted. I did have to buy a 1/2size larger but I was aware of the fit - looking forward to summer
I had to find an all white cleat for my son as that is what his high school team requires. I wasn't able to find it anywhere locally. Came across this cleat. He loves them. Very comfortable and cleans easy. It is built to last.
I can't tell you anything about the performance of the shoe. Our grandson wanted "metal" cleats for next baseball season. The shoes are still in the box, wrapped in Christmas paper, but he is excited about having picked them out and he knows he will get them. Thanks for the effortless on line shopping experience and the quick turn around. Merry Christmas.
I bought them for my son for baseball and he said that they are comfortable and feels light on his feet.
I just wanted a cheap pair of cleats for a men's softball league. They're pretty comfortable and seem to have decent durability at the toe. Cleats are pretty shallow and don't anchor real well against a strong lateral force as I've busted my buttocks chasing down balls in the outfield on many occasions. For the price, they've been solid though.
MY SECOND PAIR. THIS PAIR IS BETTER THAN THE FIRST. PERFECT FIT.
I bought these a week ago and the dirt wiped right off and they are very strong
I bought these for my son and he loves them!! Comfortable and good looking!
I purchased these shoes last month and really like them. They have a solid feel and great grip in the dirt and the grass. Nike shoes are too narrow for my foot, but New Balance fits great.
The cleats are worn by a minor leaguer and he loves them from the moment he puts them on.
My 13 year old loves these. In fact, all other spikes hurt his feet. Once you put them on a few times this issue with "hard to put them on" goes away. We actually ended up buying another pair because we were impressed by the quality of the shoe. Academy has great service. The spikes arrived fast and safely.
This shoe is as expected with one exception. The opening is fitted and VERY difficult to get on. My son almost returned them, then he wanted to CUT them, then he realized Mom was right and, with time and repetitive wear, they loosened up enough to remain supportive while being able to get on without a team of people assisting.
Been playing baseball for years for 8 months out of every year between school and travel ball. These cleats have a softer cushion and are not near as narrow as the others I've had in the previous years. I am in cleats for about 30-40 hours a week. Completely worth the extra few dollars that I normally spend.
I bought this for my son. He liked. He used it to play college baseball.
