Bought this table about a month ago- and while it is on the higher end of the price-for-performance spectrum, it's a fine product. The only complaint I really have is that the ball/racket holder is pretty basic and flimsy. Also- this table lacks expandable legs for leveling, which at this price point should have been included. Would buy again!
"Very heavy" press board with a laminate top.Not even a littlie bit of assembly, a lot of screws and parts. had to remove 40 shipping staples from bottom of table top to prevent injury to children crawling or playing under table. Middle seams at the net do not have protective covering so any fluid spill will be soaked up and ruin table, That's what people do when you put a table in front of them. No accessories, Fair net. Good quality hardware and good folding storage. Rates a C+ on looks when ... assembled. I think it's over priced at $299. I should have looked for better product.
This shipped fairly promptly to California and arrived as scheduled. The assembly instructions were extremely clear and easy to follow. It took about four hours to build and I'm satisfied with its sturdiness and convenience. The quality is very good. I don't know how well it will hold up, but it folds and unfolds nicely, rolls very smoothly, and seems stable and secure for play.
Pros: Assembly was not bad, works great, easy to play on Cons: The manufacture stapled cardboard to the bottom of the table. All the staples were annoying to remove and put additional holes in the table. Also the holes for the screws were very difficult to see, as they blended in with the wood, would have been better if they had been marked with a lighter color (however, once you found them they were easier to spot). Drilling screws into the marked holes caused screws to spin-out.
we bought this table over the weekend, took it home and had it together in about 2 hours. wasn't difficult but the tools you "Should" use are not what's listed. first off, you'll do yourself a huge favor if you use a cordless drill instead of a scrrewdriver. also, a socket/ratchett with 7/16 AND a crescent wrench. be sure to lay everything out first and READ the directions first. I've read other reviews by folks that took HOURS to put it together. that's ridiculous. just read through the tech ... specs, lay everything out afterwards, and do exactly as it says. piece of cake. it's really a very sturdy table. we've played on it for hours now! folded it up and put it away, several times now. nothing is lose or needs retightened. I wouldn't recommend one of the cheaper tables. this is about the best one for the best price. as with anything, you get what you pay for. NO, it's not an industrial grade table that we would put in the rec center but it will certainly last for a long time in the family game room.
I bought this table for 230$ which is a reasonable price. you dont want to get the really cheap $100-$150 tables because those wont last you as long. It took 2 1/2 hours to put together (with power drill, greatly advised to have). Really there is nothing bad about the table. its easy to put up/take down, compact, sturdy and durable. I would really recommend this table who is looking for a reliable table that is a good price and will be fun with the family. P.S. The playback feature is really ... good in case there is no one to play with and its just for practice.
This is honestly everything we thought and hoped it would be! The shipping was super fast, but the delivery driver wasn't quite as friendly as we would have liked. Once we got it here we set it up about a week later (waiting on our team to have time to put it together) and one of the corner pieces is broken. We've sent a few messages to Academy but no one has responded yet on the replacement. All in all we love it, Now I am hoping that we get a message back to be able to get that corner replaced.
If you are looking for a game table that offers pool, air hockey and table tennis then this is it. Unlike other tables, this one has an actual air blower for air hockey. Going from air hockey to pool is very simple, simply unlock 4 latches and flip the table over. Table tennis top comes in 3 pieces and you put them on top of the pool table, they attach via Velcro. This table is fun for kids and adults.
I bought this table and assembly was challenging. The support tubes are not designed very well as they are interchangeable and the the plastic washers hang up on the hinges on two of them. Contacted customer service thinking they sent the wrong tubes and received a very uncaring and uninterested individual. Modified it myself and works ok. The table is a good value other than that. My opinion, table better than their customer service.
So Much Fun... well built! Great for competitive playing or just messing around.
