Just bought and assembled the table this week. Yes, assembly will take 2-5 hours, depending on how skilled you are and what tools you have...but the instructions are very good, all the pieces were there, and all the holes were in the right places, so it went together pretty easy. The table is solid and looks like it will last for a long time. The wheels are also very good. It rolls around very nicely on my patio. Fold up and set up is a breeze. My only negative comment is that, with the purchase ... of a $300 table, you would think they could throw in a set of cheap paddles at least.
Purchased for the kids (and myself of course) for Christmas. Was told it probably wouldn't arrive by Christmas which I expected. Figured a few days later, it was 2 weeks. Once it arrived, the packaging was torn. I signed for it anyway. Once the box was completely opened and I started assembly I quickly realized there were parts missing. A lot of part missing. Although it was only simple hardware missing it delayed the build. Now that the table is together it's great and seems like good ... quality. So 3 stars. RH
This shipped fairly promptly to California and arrived as scheduled. The assembly instructions were extremely clear and easy to follow. It took about four hours to build and I'm satisfied with its sturdiness and convenience. The quality is very good. I don't know how well it will hold up, but it folds and unfolds nicely, rolls very smoothly, and seems stable and secure for play.
I bought my ping pong table a few weeks ago. The box that it came in was damaged. It wasn't easy for me to get open. I would try to put it together while my husband was at work, but was unable to. Not only were the directions garbage, but I was not strong enough to screw in the parts. Its like they didn't go together. So after a week of fighting with it we finally got it put together. Would I recommend this just ok.... after you get it together it kinda seams worth it. While sitting there for an ... hour one day I thought why didn't most of this come presembled? My husband and I love our table.
we bought this table over the weekend, took it home and had it together in about 2 hours. wasn't difficult but the tools you "Should" use are not what's listed. first off, you'll do yourself a huge favor if you use a cordless drill instead of a scrrewdriver. also, a socket/ratchett with 7/16 AND a crescent wrench. be sure to lay everything out first and READ the directions first. I've read other reviews by folks that took HOURS to put it together. that's ridiculous. just read through the tech ... specs, lay everything out afterwards, and do exactly as it says. piece of cake. it's really a very sturdy table. we've played on it for hours now! folded it up and put it away, several times now. nothing is lose or needs retightened. I wouldn't recommend one of the cheaper tables. this is about the best one for the best price. as with anything, you get what you pay for. NO, it's not an industrial grade table that we would put in the rec center but it will certainly last for a long time in the family game room.
I bought this table for 230$ which is a reasonable price. you dont want to get the really cheap $100-$150 tables because those wont last you as long. It took 2 1/2 hours to put together (with power drill, greatly advised to have). Really there is nothing bad about the table. its easy to put up/take down, compact, sturdy and durable. I would really recommend this table who is looking for a reliable table that is a good price and will be fun with the family. P.S. The playback feature is really ... good in case there is no one to play with and its just for practice.
This Stiga Coronado Outdoor Table Tennis Table is sturdy and well-balanced. Two of our older sons used power tools (they recommend this) to assemble it. They had it up and were playing in fewer than 3 hours. They love it. A great Christmas gift for the family that will last through wet & dry outdoor weather and some rough play. The aluminum top is a great idea. Our last table warped, became what our sons called it their "Rocky Mountain Ping Pong Table. We live on the front range of these ... mountains, so its name was appropriate The play was bizarre We are happy to have a table that will last
I have purchased ten of these table tennis tables, they are in community centers. The community center staff like them because they are easy to set up and move to different areas..The price is affordable and the table tops are very durable. The only complaint I have is that the caster beams are not very strong and have the tendency to break. I replace about 2 a year. Other than that, great table.
I bought this table and assembly was challenging. The support tubes are not designed very well as they are interchangeable and the the plastic washers hang up on the hinges on two of them. Contacted customer service thinking they sent the wrong tubes and received a very uncaring and uninterested individual. Modified it myself and works ok. The table is a good value other than that. My opinion, table better than their customer service.
So Much Fun... well built! Great for competitive playing or just messing around.
