The shipment arrived quickly and I was wearing these shoes as soon as I removed them from the box. Super comfortable. Great value.
Even with insoles they only last three months or so but it does the job for the price you pay.
This is the fourth pair of Wolverine boots I have purchased. My boys are rough and tough on their shoes and these have held up and have proven to be very durable. They wore them all the time so I purchased them more to use as dress boots.
I've had these about a month now and it really didn't take much to get them broke in. They're comfortable and when I accidentally stepped into some standing water they didn't leak, even though they're not waterproof.
I've been very pleased with the boots - great leather, very comfortable footbed, warm, no rub on ankles or shins. Pictures don't do it justice - the toe is more like a roper boot (slightly more pointed than the average wellington work boot), which has been a great surprise. Very solid feel and not too tight - easy to pull on and fairly easy to pull off.
im a traffic control specialist im on my feet 12 plus hours a day and these boot are wonderful most boots starts to hurt my feet after a few hours but when wolverine made these boots they did all the right things.they broke in about 3 days i do recommend saddle soap to keep the leather nice
I bought a pair of Workhogs after owning a few other of the Ariat traditional western boots. I know the guy at the western apparel store I shop at fairly well and he had nudged me for a while to try a pair of the steel toes for the factory I work at. I am glad I gave them a try. I have had them for about a year and a half and love them. Unfortunately with wearing them 8 hours a day and the oils and factory grime takes a toll. The support is starting to go also. But with that being said the ... outsole is still very solid and the leather has held up with the proper care of conditioning and cleaning to given to it. It will be time to hang these ones up and get a new pair. Great boot!
Comfortable, fits great, looks cool too. I would buy again for sure.
This is my second purchase of the boots. They are very reasonably priced, fit & wear very well. I was experiencing problems with my feet & needed additional support for my arches. The flat continous sole helped me immensely, in addition to additional arch supports. I do not live near an Academy, so I ordered them online & the shipping was free! I feel that I am a smart shopper & found that all items are very reasonably priced. No more need for comparison price shopping!
I've had two pair of these. For the price they're a bargain. My only Complaint is the soles seperate because I do a lot of bending down the soles bend and come unglued. I can still buy 2 pair cheaper than I can get a brand name boot. Soles hold their grip walking on metal roofs so I buy them.
I love these boots where them to work and church. This is the 3rd time I bought these. Comfortable and looks good!!!
They are great for work but they get too hot inside
bought them about two months ago so far all good, i did find them a little big for the size but not bad. i work on grating and run up and down stairs all day so i am hard on boots witch is hard on my feet.
I have buying this boots for a few years. I tried many other boots from different brands but these are the best ever. I told many of my friends about them and they also love them. After standing a long 12 hours shift my feet still feel good, with the others at 6 to 8 hours my feet would ache from standing. Great boot,
As a former construction worker now turned inspector, I have gone through many boots over the years. My new position demands me to visits construction sites, but also spend time in an office and meeting enviroment. These boot provide excellent comfort, and safety as well as a stylish finish that has generated compliments on my footwear. I have neve gotten a boot compliment before. Strongly recommend.
In my experience Wolverine's have always fit well and lasted. These fit well and look good for a work boot and I'm pretty confident that they'll last. I had initially ordered a different pair of Wolverine boots that I thought were steel toed, but weren't. Had no problem returning them and had these 2 days later. Great customer service!!!
i have been wearing these boots for almost a year now everyday as a security officer and they look exactly the same as the day i bought them! The Vibram sole has not worn at all and they are very comfortable after a short break in period. I will buy them again if this pair ever wears out!
I wear a 12 in regular shoes, but 11.5 fit perfect for me in these boots. Just something to think about if you're considering these. My job requires me to go into a wide variety of environments, and these boots tackle each one with zero issues. They're the most comfortable pair of boots I've owned, and felt almost completely broken in after week one. On top of all that, they look amazing.
Ever buy a work boot that's just too nice to wear to work? This is that boot. So I wear them out on the town instead. They are more dressy than worker boot too me because I work in construction and I tend to destroy boot out there. I get Compliments Galore! The block heel is not hard rubber. I'm a little taller with these on They grip most surfaces so no sliding here. I like the extra height of the shaft too
I bought these a couple of weeks ago and they are doing alright. They are comfortable and have a pretty well makes sole and heel. My complaint is with the stitching. There are several spots where the decorative stitching is coming off. On both boots some of the more functional stitching was loose and frayed looking. I was able to repair and deal with these problems.
I purchased the Argon about two years ago when I needed another safety shoe/boot. I decided to try this one as my boots are a little warm in the Texas heat. The shoe is extremely lightweight with the composite toe compared to a steel toe style. I was able to notice a difference when climbing stairs and walking around all day. It is amazing how a lighter show can help to not tire you out. The toe portion, with that little protective layer, holds up well to abuse about the same as your average ... work boot will. The shoe breaths a little more than a boot so it does not provide the best protection from cold winter months. Otherwise, a great shoe that I will buy again.
Exactly what I would expect from a name like Caterpillar.
I bought these about 8 months ago. I'm in greasy, oily conditions and these felt great the first few months. They eventually got very loose and sloppy fitting which started to hurt my feet. Also, I wish the tread pattern was more aggressive because these souls smoothed out within the first 3 months leaving me with almost no traction. They're good boots, but for the price, I expected more.
I bought these for my husband whom works in construction he says they are comfortable and really holding up he is extremely hard on boots but these have done a great job.
I'm pleased to say that I've only worn Ariat boots for the last 20 years because nothing else lasts and is as comfortable. I bought 1 pair and after a week was so pleased I bought a second pair and rotate every other day. They look great but finally the sole is at it's end. I walk on concrete all day and it's not kind to anything. These have held up great. I'll be ordering a couple more pairs soon. Thanks Ariat for your great boots.
I have had these boots for 3ish years and they were about ready for a new sole. They were so comfy and broke in well. They served me driving for hours and on rigs all over western Canada. I slipped and fell 3' off my trailer dislocated my right ankle and fractured my Tib/Fib that required pins and plates. My boot saved my foot from so much more damage by pulling my ankle back in place and supporting it internally and controlling the swelling and holding my bones in place. Then the Dr took a saw ... and tin snips to them. He complained cause the boots were tough on his gear. In the end I have lost my favourite boots and the ability to put on cowboy boots but saved my ankle and leg from so much more damage and physio. I highly recommend these boots they are supportive and durable and worth every penny. I only wish I could just buy a right boot to replace the battle damaged one. I Recommend a good mink oil or other treatment for muddy and wet work. Other than that keep them clean and they will keep you comfy and safe. And this was an accident but they are rather fire resistant. Don't push it to far tho.
The boot is absolutely amazing. They aren't waterproof but galley they hold up good. I have only had good things to say about this boot. So if your a hard working man like myself and your looking to buy this boot, do it it's great
I have had my boots for 8 months and I love them they're super comfortable they haven't worn out at all there great boots
Have only worn them on 2 long work days so far, but they are comfortable (EE width). Looks like good quality stitching, but most boots fail in the glue joint btw sole and toe welt, so we will see in the next 11 months how they fare.
I bought these boots in store. They were comfortable and looked great. They were pretty much true to size as well. A bit wide at the front, but that felt comfortable to me. The next day was a moderate work day doing construction type work, and my feet were happy all day. But at the end of the day, the ends of inside of the mocosin toe stitch had popped out. I was expecting the toe to give issues, but I figured I would get more than a day out of it. I have to say that the boot was very ... comfortable and otherwise good, and this might just be a fluke. Here's a photo of the stitch and the other shoe.
I bought these for my 15yr old grandson n he loves them
Received the shipment really quick. The first two days my ankles were raw from the new boots...I guess this is normal with low cut boots? I am still trying to break them in. Other than that the boots are good!
I saw the boot; the store didn't have the sizes I needed to try on, so an associate ordered two different sizes to be delivered to my house so I could try them on. A few days later they came in the mail, I tried them on. Both felt good, but one pair really felt great ( like walking in heaven);so I kept that pair and returned the other;; The whole ordeal ran so smoothly!- I saw the boot; I liked the design; I love the fit; I am more than satisfied!
I've had these boots for a year and three months, stitching finally gave way. They are still comfortable, useful and plenty of tread leftover. Only complaint are the laces, gave way within a month or so. Actually on my way to Academy to buy another pair. Oh I work 6 days a week and 12 hour days in the elements.
