I bought a pair of Workhogs after owning a few other of the Ariat traditional western boots. I know the guy at the western apparel store I shop at fairly well and he had nudged me for a while to try a pair of the steel toes for the factory I work at. I am glad I gave them a try. I have had them for about a year and a half and love them. Unfortunately with wearing them 8 hours a day and the oils and factory grime takes a toll. The support is starting to go also. But with that being said the ... outsole is still very solid and the leather has held up with the proper care of conditioning and cleaning to given to it. It will be time to hang these ones up and get a new pair. Great boot!
Really comfortable work boot. I gave the extra $10 for steel toe. My gold standard had always been Red Wing boots. My Red Wings are now my weekend chore boots. I work in a print shop and stand on concrete floors most of the day and I really like these Ariats because my feet don't hurt from standing all day. No breaking in necessary - just buy the size you need. Expensive, yes - but after a month I am glad I have them. Made in Vietnam according to the tag.
I love these boots where them to work and church. This is the 3rd time I bought these. Comfortable and looks good!!!
My husband says these are the most comfortable work boots he's owned in years, and when it's time for a new pair, he will be back to Academy to purchase. Their plant used to have a vendor come in and sell at their plant, but this year he decided to go look at Academy on his own...and is now glad he did!
I've had 2 pair of these and both have lasted about 1 year. I wear them about 4-5 days a week for work. They break in fast and are comfortable, but break down and fall apart quick. They are the cheapest western work boot and it shows. This year I went with a different brand but if I come back to Justin I'll get a higher priced boot and maybe it'll be worth the extra cash.
I love these boots. They are the most comfortable boots I've had yet. But there is also some things I don't like, the stain is really dark on 1 boot and only half as dark on the other. But other than that, these boots are the boots to buy.
I bought these for my dad for Christmas. He LOVES them and couldn't say enough about them. He said they were very comfortable and also loved how he didn't feel like he was about to slide around on the slick icy sidewalks we've had here the past few weeks.
Boots were a little tight at first but stretched out to fit after a few days use. Foam insoles came apart almost immediately but still work. Biggest issue has been the lining coming loose in the heel. Sticks to your sock and is almost impossible to get them off without help. A row of stitching down the back would probably solve this. I picked up a long shoehorn that really helps (on and off). They seem to keep my feet dry but I've only been in sticky mud and not inches of water. So far so good ... for 8 months of heavy use.
My husband got his first pair of Justin Stampede's about 18 months ago. Just recently he started complaining about the wear on the heel and the steel toe being exposed. Mind you, he wears these boots for 10 hours a day, 5-7 days a week doing construction work, truck driving, and concrete work. They're a little pricey, but if my man is going to be working like a dog all day, everyday, I want him to be as comfortable as possible while doing so. I will be buying him a new pair for Father's day this year.
I bought these work boots for wearing in my factory job. Ive seen more people having this style of boot, so im trying them. Ive got several other Justin boots, and they feel much like the rest comfortable right out of the box. Ive had many styles of Justin boots for 15+ years now and their still my favorite boots!
I am aloud boot reimbursing two times a year, have tried many others and nothing even close.I work in a chemical plant lots of walking, climbing almost always outside and in the weather . I will never buy another lesser boot and they are all of less quality.
This is my second pair of wellington boots by Wolverine, bought from academy. I always talk up these boots & this website.
Bought these several months ago for work. I don't think they were really intended for heavy duty use, and yet they have held up extremely well in an auto garage. They get grease and oil all over them most days and are staying together longer than some of the other boots I've owned. I expected the top seams to be coming apart by now, but they aren't at all. I'd expect a good six months of everyday use out of them in this environment. Rubbed some beeswax on em and they are very water resistant ... while hiking. I did find the standard insoles very uncomfortable, but that's really personal preference, and it's easily fixed. They're great shoes, and I'll probably buy more when this pair wears out.
I've had mine for a few weeks now and they feel and fit great. Love the finish of the leather and the style. I had to go with a smaller size than what I normally wear.
I have had these boots for eight months and they dont back down from any challenge. I am on my feet 12-16 hours a day in an industrial environment and weather it is oil, hydraulic fluid, or acid these boots protect my feet. I only have one complaint, where do I get another set of insoles like they came with? Those things are like foot pillows, so soft and comfortable that 16 hours feels like 6. When I bought these boots they had to meet certain requirements, they had to have a steel toe, they ... had to be comfortable (lots of reviews stating comfort), and finally they had to be made in the U.S.A.
I bought these for my husband for work and hes been wearing them since he got them he said they are very comfortable right out of the box and he's been wearing Danner Boots and he said these were more comfortable and is lower priced to. we will have to wait and see how long they last i will let you know.
This is a very solid work shoe, the feeling is stiff and firm at first but gets comfortable over time as you break it in.
My son loved them. He uses them for work. Steel toe is a must
i bought this boots for my husband back in november and he like boot style and look but been back and forth with trying to find correct size for him He wears a 9 in boots but his foot couldnt slide down in them just order a 9 1/2 in this style and he couldnt wear those either so I'm return them as well guess width of boot just not wide enough
I bought wolverine's for many years. There no good know . Dont know if they're made somewhere else! Switch back to cats. Very impressive. But sole still comes apart. All of them. Use jap. Glue in stead of Chinese !?
I have owned these boots for over a year and I personally love them. They come out of the box comfortable and well fitting. The Material used in them is high quality and very durable. I have used mine for over a year as my daily pair of shoes, my work boots, and generally used them as something you don't have to be picky with(as I said, they are durable). The price is great because you don't have to spend a fortune to get a good pair of boots. The soles on these boots are made of what I call ... "Soft Rubber", meaning that it is a light weight material that is easy to move in and get adjusted to quickly. These are the first pair of boots that I have owned that I have been able to wear low cut socks and not have to worry about being rubbed raw. I just ordered my second pair of them and will continue to buy these boots until they no longer offer them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE BOOTS!!!
I bought these boots to replace a pair that I had previously bought in the store. The sizes run 1" undersize. I had to buy a pair 101/2 to get my normal 11 1/2. The souls of these boots are soft and wear quickly, I wore thru the first pair in 6 months wearing them daily. The boots loosened up and I had to put insoles in to tighten up on my foot. Next time will try the normal width instead of the wide due to the stretch. The positive side is that they are very comfortable and well built. I like ... the fact that the uppers are loose and will fit my large calves where most boots of this type don't.
I have had 5 pairs of altitude 4s and they are very comfy, maybe the steel toe has something to do with it.I just couldn't do an 8 hour day on my feet at 58 years old with these boots however I gave them to my son who is 24 and he hasn't had the same problem.Go figure!
will buy again product as described great work boot
I bought these boots to replace lace up work boots. I wasn't sure if I'd like them because I wear thick socks with my work boots and a half size smaller was too tight. I bought my regular size and after changing to work boot insoles they fit snug and have been comfortable all day. I like them now.
Got these for Christmas in 2014 an do far its July 2015 and they r still in excellent shape. I work on a farm and they get beat up but still feel graet
I'm pleased to say that I've only worn Ariat boots for the last 20 years because nothing else lasts and is as comfortable. I bought 1 pair and after a week was so pleased I bought a second pair and rotate every other day. They look great but finally the sole is at it's end. I walk on concrete all day and it's not kind to anything. These have held up great. I'll be ordering a couple more pairs soon. Thanks Ariat for your great boots.
I have had these boots for 3ish years and they were about ready for a new sole. They were so comfy and broke in well. They served me driving for hours and on rigs all over western Canada. I slipped and fell 3' off my trailer dislocated my right ankle and fractured my Tib/Fib that required pins and plates. My boot saved my foot from so much more damage by pulling my ankle back in place and supporting it internally and controlling the swelling and holding my bones in place. Then the Dr took a saw ... and tin snips to them. He complained cause the boots were tough on his gear. In the end I have lost my favourite boots and the ability to put on cowboy boots but saved my ankle and leg from so much more damage and physio. I highly recommend these boots they are supportive and durable and worth every penny. I only wish I could just buy a right boot to replace the battle damaged one. I Recommend a good mink oil or other treatment for muddy and wet work. Other than that keep them clean and they will keep you comfy and safe. And this was an accident but they are rather fire resistant. Don't push it to far tho.
I bought these boots around a month ago. I have wore Justin's for many years with no problems. They are the most comfortable I have ever wore. Two small problems, 1) the left sole lets water seep in and they squish when you walk, 2) the right sole makes a popping sound while walking. I' m not sure the soles will hold up.
I've never been a boot wearer, but after I got them broke in, I like them
Extremely well structured footwear for working men
I've finally worn these out after a year and a half on a concrete shop floor. I can recommend to others in the shop environment who need a comfortable boot but can get by without a steel toe version. I can't say they are better or more comfortable than my Redwings but at one third the price these are tough to beat!
I BOUGHT MINE AROUND A YEAR AGO ROUGHLY AND THEY ARE VERY DURABLE , COMFORTABLE AND VERSATILE FROM WORK TO WEEKENDS.... FIRST TIME BUYER WHEN IT COMES TO CAT PRODUCTS............. GREAT BUY, I MADE THE SWITCH FROM DOCS AND HAVE NO REGRETS AT ALL WHAT SO EVER ..........
I had read a review on here of a man that have been wearing work shoes for over 37 years and said that these were the most comfortable work shoe that he had ever worn and I wholeheartedly agree. So comfortable that I forget that I'm even wearing my steel-toed work shoes.
The sublite reeboks are an amazing shoe. I bought the exact size I would wear in normal reeboks and they fit perfect. They are extremely light weight and very comfortable. I love the massage insoles, and the fact that they can be removed and replaced. My favorite feature of this shoe is the preferratted crease that separates the toe of the shoe from the rest of the shoe. So when you walk it bends where it's supposed to. Great design. I love the style and colors also. I got the light blue and ... grey pair. Overall I would say this the most comfortable shoe for the 12 hour shifts I work. Definitely the lightest work shoe I've ever owned. Delivery time was impeccable. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who has to wear steel toe shoes in the workplace.
Found the best deal on a pair of sneaker work shoes with steel toe, had to show them off at work, everyone loves them.
