Had these about a month. Has great features, love the option to zipper them up then lace them up and then never have to lace up again. Are good looking enough to wear out as every day wear with the leather foot ,which I have done. They are water proof, been in over ankle and feet dry. Very comfortable , very little break in needed. Recommend getting half size larger for fall thicker sock weather. Copper head struck foot and the boot gave total protection, lives up to name of snake defender. ... These boots are highly recommended for fit, style ,price, looks, and good protection
I bought these boots last week and they are very comfortable. Stiff at first but after a few days they broke in nicely. The only negative thing is arch support, so I had to buy insoles with support but overall very pleased with my boots.
Well my wife and I use to wear low top muck shoes around the house mostly for light duty chores and such the muck shoes always seem to crack where ur foot flexes .I got her and myself a pair each of the game winner low tops were both sold not gonna be getting mucks any longer
I bought these to replace my moccasins that had worn out and I have been very pleased. They were good sized and even a little wide making them easy to slip on and off without bending down. The soles are decent too so running around outside even in wet weather is comfortable. Overall was a great deal.
I had been needing a good pair of boots for loading my boat and also for when I camp in the swamp. I've always been concerned about ordering shoes and boots my mail because of the fit. My fishing friend has a pair of these and I went with his suggestion. These boots fit perfect and are very comfortable and are real soft on the feet. I'm so glad that I did buy these and can recommend them to others.
Had heard that Muck boots were the best and after having mine I agree 100%
Bought the boots primarily for long walks through woods and pastures with my dog. I've had other brands that claimed they would keep my feet dry, but these really do -- at least in the heavy dew and shallow puddles I traverse. And they are comfortable. Sizewise, I wear a 10 shoe, and although I have had to go 10 1/2 on some other brand boots to allow for toe-room, since the Game Winner said it was D width, I ordered them in 10 and have been satisfied. Encouraged by the first pair, I ... purchased a second -- at the online sale price -- to 'keep on the shelf' for when these wear out, in case the manufacturer decides to discontinue this model. (I did order the second in 10 1/2 thinking they would be better for extra-sock wear in winter conditions. Can't really tell much difference between sizes in walking comfort.)
I bought them about a month ago and I wear them every day to work in. They are light weight and very comfortable
I bought these a few weeks ago and glad I did. The boots fits true to size and is easy to put on/get out of thanks to the laces. They're a little stiff but loosen up a bit after wearing them a few times.
Got these snake boots as a Christmas present from my son. Have read the reviews from others particularly the water proof comments or not. Major question. As far as comfort goes, no issues. Did wear them around to house to help /find out any problems. Wore them 2 days while hog hunting . They were great. Course I haven`t tested the water aspect yet. Hope I`m not disappointed. Will say one thing those puppies are some what ...stiff. Thought that might be an issue ... but ...nope. Like I said no issues . For me anyway.
I bought some of these last year and they've worked really great for an inexpensive pair of shoes. I only wish the local store had these as a year-round stocking item. I'd go buy another pair right now if I could find some in 11 wide. Lets' stock more wide sizes Academy ! ! !
I bought these about a month ago, just to see if they were as good as I remember. It would be hard to beat the price for a decent shoe. So far I'm very happy with them, so much that I went ahead and bought a second pair to stash away.
I bought these boots about two months ago. I am a land surveyor and these have exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend them if you spend a lot of time in the woods like I do, they are VERY comfortable and will keep your feet very dry..
I purchased the boots for a four day fishing trip. The weather was ranged between 17 and 33 degrees Fahrenheit with some misting rain and sleet . These boots met the challenge . Dry, warm and comfortable to have on for long periods of time. One pair of socks and a small toe warmer. Great pair of boots for this application .
I bought the Muck boots for my son for Christmas and he loves them. He's going snow skiing and will be wearing them also.
I replaced a pair of Lacrosse boots with same pair and they stuck so bad (rubber and glue) that I returned them and bought these. I wore them for a month every day bow hunting and I love them. They run about a half size small in my opinion. I thought I would never switch from Lacrosse but these are much better. I rarely write a review unless product is great or horrible and these are great.
I just wore my new boots on an 11 day hunting trip.To be strait up, these boots are GREAT! I have worn Lacross boots for years and I thought that I had good boots... These Rutmasters are a much better boot. Aggressive sole makes them stable, scent fighting liner helps control odor, and side strap cinches up to make them silent. Very comfortable on long walks to and from the stand. My only regret is not buying them sooner...
I had been shopping around for a good pair of women's snake boots. I decided that Chippewa was probably my best choice but they were also one of the more expensive. Then Academy put them on sale so I snatched them up. These are men's so got a size and one half smaller-(I'm a 9 in women's, so I purchased a 7.5 in men's.) I was so thrilled when they arrived that they fit perfectly. I was heading out to the ranch that weekend and really needed these boots. I put them on and worked hard all day. ... They are lightweight and rugged. I tromped through cactus, barbed wire, and mequite all weekend. No need to worry about breaking them in, they were very comfortable and held up quite well. I did not get the opportunity to see how they protect against rattlesnakes, but if I ever do, I will certainly write about it!
Had been looking for an awesome boot for a decade. Bought these and have never regretted it. They complete me! Practical, comfy, solid. And dead sexy too. Loads of compliments come my way and I always send those people your way.
I bought my boots about a month ago and have worn them several times. The zipper that runs down the inside of the boot makes it very easy to put them on and take them off. The zipper is strong and I can tell it will last a very long time. I have worn them out in the field bow hunting and have had to walk over half a mile to my blind. The boots are great to walk in and are extremely sturdy. I don't think I would go hunting in the Rocky Mountains with them, but they are great on small hills and ... flat ground. The rubber soles on my previous three pairs of snake boots have fallen off. These Justin's don't have that type of glued on rubber sole and I doubt they will ever fall off.
True to size, done try to compensate otherwise you end up with too large of a boot. Good quality and looks very sharp. Comfortable to wear for long times, I wore it for over 8 hours the first time and unlike other new boots it did not hurt my feet.
First of all I love the boots comfortable light good traction snake resistant BUT need pull straps like cowboy boots to get them on! If you don't have a boot jack you will have to get one Hardest boots to get OFF I've ever seen!! Can't understand why - almost had to sleep in them the first time I wore them!!
Got these for my boyfriend for Christmas. He works construction and also hunts. He told me this was the best Christmas present he's ever gotten. Said when he wakes up in the morning he's looking forward to wearing his boots! He says they are super warm and very comfortable!
These boots are the lightest, most comfortable rubber boots I have ever worn. They fit perfect around the foot and ankles and stay on your feet even when walking in sticky swamp mud. And thank you Academy for a great deal.
Bought these as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves them!
I will be returning the boots since they were not what I was hoping for. This is a risk I took when I purchased online without being able to inspect in person. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them they're not what I had it mind
I actually got these boots on clearance and could not be much happier. I needed a new pair for turkey hunting in the deep south swamp bottoms of North FL. These boots are light weight and comfortable. I did a lot of walking. I did notice after hours of walking, they began to slip just a pinch b/c of the material on the inside. However, this did not hamper my efforts to harvest the elusive longbeards that strut about the North FL landscape. I would recommend these boots and I look forward ... to wearing them among the same swampland on the family farm when deer season begins in the fall.
My son loved these boots he has have several pairs over the years.
I bought these boots as a replacement for my old Wolverines that I bought in 1992 that finally had to be retired. I had the opportunity to wear the new boots the other day in a snow storm we had and they were outstanding! My feet never got cold and these boots are very comfortable like I had been wearing them for years. I hope I get as much wear out of the new boots as I did with the old Wolverines. I highly recommend Wolverine boots and Academy for the best prices and selection! Thank You!!
I have had 2 pair of these boots and they are comfortable, warm and have outlasted all other boots I have worn. I work for a water department in maintaining water lines and my feet have stayed dry and warm all winter. great boots and great price. dependable product. james
I bought these for early spring fishing. Finally got to try them out last weekend. It was 30 Degrees. All I had on under them were some regular cotton socks and my feet never got cold. I was worried that these boots weren't insulated enough, but there's something about them that holds heat very well. Very pleased with my purchase.
I bought these boots for my husband to go on a hunting trip and according to him these are the best boots that he has ever owned in a long time. He was well pleased at the way they kept his feet warm in 8 degree weather. He had the thick socks and said that there is no need for thick socks.
