    Sturdy boots!
I bought these shoes a couple of years ago, but my wife wears them more than I do. We have had no problems with water seeping into the shoe (which happened with another pair of "waterproof" boots). The only suggestion I would make is that the sole needs a bit more padding.

Good Shoe for around the yard.
I purchased this shoe to wear when I am outside doing yard work. The shoe size is just a little small compared to other shoes I purchased of same size. I purchased online. I should have ordered a 1/2 size larger (tight around toes). Slowly breaking them in. Hopefully over time they will loosen up a little. Good quality for the money.

A well made and good looking hunting boot
I purchased these boots for my son, a 15 year old who routinely forgot to wear snake guards over his shorter boots. Now I don't worry when he's going out to hunt or explore because I know he's wearing these taller boots. He wears them because they have a comfortable fit and a square toe, and he's found they have a great grip due to the sole (which is like a work boot). They are waterproof (unlike his regular boot) which has proven to be a huge bonus. I purchased a different brand of ... read more snake/hunting boot for his twin brother which cost more. I can report by direct comparison the two are equally well constructed, but, The Justin Stampede is a more handsome boot with a very comfortable fit. That combined with the quality of construction and features make these hunting boots a good value - and why I took the time to write this review.

    Bad soles
I bought two different pairs of these boots. The first ones the sole ripped off the first time I bought them and I took them back thinking they were just defective so I bought another pair. I wore them one time as well and the leaked water and the soles on the heel started pulling apart again. Will be taking these back and getting something different.

    Not water proof
I've worn these out on 3 hunting trips this season since purchasing them in September. They took about 20 hrs to break in and were comfortable enough. Problem is: on my last trip, along the river, I was standing in water about ankle high and water leaked through the leather seams on the foot section of the boot. Both feet were wet all day. Im taking the these boots back. Don't rely on the water proof claims.

    They Worked!!!
I went scouting this weekend and was in some tall grass, didn't even see the water moccasin until I stepped on him and he struck my calf. The snake was about a 2 foot water moccasin and he did not penetrate the boot. I will never go into the woods without these boots again...

    Wolverine Woodlander Boots
Boots must be laced all the way to the top of the boot. This makes putting boot on difficult. Open lacing on the upper portion of the boot would be more user friendly.

    You won't be disappointed
Bought this boot because 1) I needed some new huntin boots. 2) they were on sale for dirt cheap 3) they were lace up and water proof. After 16 years in the military, my feet have taken a pounding...so comfort and support are a MUST! These offer both and they breath better than any other insulated boots I've owned. They're a little hard to take off without lacing them down, but that's a good thing and will loosen with time and wear. YOU SHOULD CONSIDER 1/2 SIZE LARGER THAN YOUR NORMAL SIZE...I ... read more assess that this is due to the lining. I honestly would have bought two pair had I known they were this comfortable.

    Poor quality
I purchased these boots for my daughter for Christmas one week ago. She has worn them 3 times hunting. Two of the boot lace holders have already broken off on one side so she can't lace them all the way up. She was so excited about the look but I am so disappointed that they would tear up so fast without much use. I do not know if this can be covered under warranty or if this can be fixed.

    Great Value
I bought these boots and used them in the spring for turkey, pig and coyote hunting. they really are a great value priced snake boot. I like the zipper along with the laces. It allows you to get the proper fit. I have owned other brand boots costing much more money and all of them will make your feet sweat in warmer weather. These boots are very comfortable for snake boots. They also handle water very well keeping my feet dry. You will not find a better boot for the price.

    waterproof issues
After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase a pair of these boots. Boots seem to be very comfortable and overall I like the design and style but after returning my second pair due to them leaking I have decided to try another boot. Both pair took on water when in shallow creeks/puddles. Although I was not 100 percent happy with the boots, Academy made sure to stand by their product and make it right

Waterproof and Snake Proof, Water Moccasin!
Hunting North Texas is very rewarding and can be dangerous, I've had my run-ins with wild boars and feral hogs, feral and wild dogs, and even the occasional mountain lion, but I had my first Water Moccasin strike ever in my 30 years, I was blessed to be wearing these and all that was felt was a slight pop on the outside of my right foot the boot sustained no damage. My hog spot is tucked between two creeks that fork off a large river, this little guy was 15 yards from the creek and 40 from the ... read more blind. Snake boots are insurance and these made all the payments worth it. Oh and they are waterproof so far too, I have to cross said creek the get to the blind and it a touch over ankle deep and I've been dry as a bone for months.
