Had these about a month. Has great features, love the option to zipper them up then lace them up and then never have to lace up again. Are good looking enough to wear out as every day wear with the leather foot ,which I have done. They are water proof, been in over ankle and feet dry. Very comfortable , very little break in needed. Recommend getting half size larger for fall thicker sock weather. Copper head struck foot and the boot gave total protection, lives up to name of snake defender. ... These boots are highly recommended for fit, style ,price, looks, and good protection
Hunting North Texas is very rewarding and can be dangerous, I've had my run-ins with wild boars and feral hogs, feral and wild dogs, and even the occasional mountain lion, but I had my first Water Moccasin strike ever in my 30 years, I was blessed to be wearing these and all that was felt was a slight pop on the outside of my right foot the boot sustained no damage. My hog spot is tucked between two creeks that fork off a large river, this little guy was 15 yards from the creek and 40 from the ... blind. Snake boots are insurance and these made all the payments worth it. Oh and they are waterproof so far too, I have to cross said creek the get to the blind and it a touch over ankle deep and I've been dry as a bone for months.
I had been needing a good pair of boots for loading my boat and also for when I camp in the swamp. I've always been concerned about ordering shoes and boots my mail because of the fit. My fishing friend has a pair of these and I went with his suggestion. These boots fit perfect and are very comfortable and are real soft on the feet. I'm so glad that I did buy these and can recommend them to others.
I bought the boots for the price. It was about the same price that I had been paying for the last several years. The other brands were not lasting but a little over an year. I will see after an year on these.
I bought them about a month ago and I wear them every day to work in. They are light weight and very comfortable
Bought the boots primarily for long walks through woods and pastures with my dog. I've had other brands that claimed they would keep my feet dry, but these really do -- at least in the heavy dew and shallow puddles I traverse. And they are comfortable. Sizewise, I wear a 10 shoe, and although I have had to go 10 1/2 on some other brand boots to allow for toe-room, since the Game Winner said it was D width, I ordered them in 10 and have been satisfied. Encouraged by the first pair, I ... purchased a second -- at the online sale price -- to 'keep on the shelf' for when these wear out, in case the manufacturer decides to discontinue this model. (I did order the second in 10 1/2 thinking they would be better for extra-sock wear in winter conditions. Can't really tell much difference between sizes in walking comfort.)
Got these snake boots as a Christmas present from my son. Have read the reviews from others particularly the water proof comments or not. Major question. As far as comfort goes, no issues. Did wear them around to house to help /find out any problems. Wore them 2 days while hog hunting . They were great. Course I haven`t tested the water aspect yet. Hope I`m not disappointed. Will say one thing those puppies are some what ...stiff. Thought that might be an issue ... but ...nope. Like I said no issues . For me anyway.
Bought these because I moved to property that has two types of poisonous snakes and we tend to get our feet wet around the pond and creek. Seemed like the best of both worlds, protection from bites and soggy socks, except they leak water. Reading other reviews seems to be luck of the draw with the water proofing. Other than that the boots are comfy once broken in, the zipper instead of lacing is what sold me on this pair. I'll be keeping them for the snake armor, but now I need to shell out ... another $100-$200 for some good knee high waterproof boots
I actually got these boots on clearance and could not be much happier. I needed a new pair for turkey hunting in the deep south swamp bottoms of North FL. These boots are light weight and comfortable. I did a lot of walking. I did notice after hours of walking, they began to slip just a pinch b/c of the material on the inside. However, this did not hamper my efforts to harvest the elusive longbeards that strut about the North FL landscape. I would recommend these boots and I look forward ... to wearing them among the same swampland on the family farm when deer season begins in the fall.
I bought these on sale about a month ago. For the price they have proved to be the best pair of rain boots that I have owned. They are comfortable and watertight. I look forward to many years of use ahead. I'm only giving them a 4 star because I haven't had them long enough to test their durability.
High quality boot that provides excellent protection from snake bites. Uppers ride high, but are wide at the top requiring mock jeans to be tucked in. Foot seems to run slightly wider than normal for a medium width boot. Over all, this is a great boot.
This is my second pair of Chippewa Boots. I bought my first pair of all leather Chippewa snake boots in 1983. I still wear them to do things around the deer camp. After all these years, the buckles have come off but they are still great. I am enjoying this new pair and will certainly put them to the test. I am very pleased and I'm sure I will not be disappointed. Take care of them and they will take care of you.
Bought them for cold weather hunting, feet stay warm.
I had never purchased a Rocky boot until this pair. A great boot at an unbelievable price. Thought Rocky boots were overrated until I wore a pair.
these boots are great. they are very comfortable and they also keep your feet warm!
I have worn these boots for 3 months now during hunting season. They are comfortable, keep your feet warm, and yes they are waterproof. So far they have performed excellent. Only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because I have not had them long enough to test durability.
I bought this boot for warmth and waterproofing my feet. I have not had the opportunity to test the waterproofing, but they kept my feet warm. They are comfortable and don't detract from my high fashion persona with their stylish design.
I went through numerous pairs to finally get some that fit. I ended up having to get 1.5 sizes smaller than what I normally wear to finally get a pair that fit well. One thing to keep in mind is that these boots are warm. The thinsulate really does its job. These are probably not the best choice for summer boots, but they would do a great job during the winter. I went hiking/hunting one day when the highs were in the low 70s and my feet were sweating. Other that theater they were very comfortable.
My husband's feet were always wet and cold while working or hunting on our ranch. These boots are waterproof and light weight and comfortable. When they get muddy you just wash them off and go. I recently purchased two more pair for our sons. You didn't have them in my size but I plan to get some for me as well. I
My old Lacross insulated lace-up boots gave it up. I wanted easier to put on, dry as possible and warmth. My feet sweat everyday, all year long. I walk a distance to hunt and by the time I get there, boom, wet feet. Now set for hours on end in a stand the wet feet and they will get very cold. Merino wool socks help when used with these Mucks, my feet stay very warm. Now that I'm in the Muck, Wetland boot, I don't worry about having wet feet because they do stay warm.
This boot is the best overall boot that I have put on my feet. Keeps them warm and dry in the wet and cold.
Bought these for my husband as his other pair of snake boots was pretty worn. He hasn't really used these yet but has tried them on and said they are quite comfortable. Hoping they remain comfortable after he has them on for long periods of time.
Great boots for a reasonable price. My husband has extremely wide feet and the fact that these were available in wide width made the purchase a no brainer :). He is extremely happy!
I will be returning the boots since they were not what I was hoping for. This is a risk I took when I purchased online without being able to inspect in person. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them they're not what I had it mind
Very warm a little tight on my calf but hope they work Loose with warr
Just got em and love em! Pretty warm.Fit good but if you gonna wear thick socks, maybe get the next size up. Gave it a 4 cuz I haven't tested them yet but I will soon. Pretty tough to take off though. Hope they last as long as my red wings for this price. Made in China though.
I bought these for early spring fishing. Finally got to try them out last weekend. It was 30 Degrees. All I had on under them were some regular cotton socks and my feet never got cold. I was worried that these boots weren't insulated enough, but there's something about them that holds heat very well. Very pleased with my purchase.
I bought these boots for my husband to go on a hunting trip and according to him these are the best boots that he has ever owned in a long time. He was well pleased at the way they kept his feet warm in 8 degree weather. He had the thick socks and said that there is no need for thick socks.
bought these boots online no one could beat the price. They were shipped promptly and arrived ahead of time. Would shop online acadamy in the future.
I used the Muck boots on a duck hunt and my feet stayed dry and warm!! Great boots!
I bought my boots about a month ago and have worn them several times. The zipper that runs down the inside of the boot makes it very easy to put them on and take them off. The zipper is strong and I can tell it will last a very long time. I have worn them out in the field bow hunting and have had to walk over half a mile to my blind. The boots are great to walk in and are extremely sturdy. I don't think I would go hunting in the Rocky Mountains with them, but they are great on small hills and ... flat ground. The rubber soles on my previous three pairs of snake boots have fallen off. These Justin's don't have that type of glued on rubber sole and I doubt they will ever fall off.
Comfortable and easy to get on and off with side zipper.
I purchased the boots for a four day fishing trip. The weather was ranged between 17 and 33 degrees Fahrenheit with some misting rain and sleet . These boots met the challenge . Dry, warm and comfortable to have on for long periods of time. One pair of socks and a small toe warmer. Great pair of boots for this application .
Great gift for 21 and 16 y/o sons. They both are very happy with them. Warm, dry and high enough to keep the snow out. Very happy with the price as well.
