I bought this online about a month ago. It shipped to my door in 3 days & it took about 2 hours for my husband to assemble. It is everything I hoped for. Although it requires quite a bit of space I was able to get rid of my stationary bike (since this is both a elliptical & a recumbent bike) so that freed up some room. I'm actually thinking of selling my treadmill too. I can get twice the workout in a shorter time on the hybrid! Great buy!
I have COPD and chose this machine to help me with endurance and strength. I am more than satisfied at this time. My only complaint is the Pulse Sensors will not stay in place. Support has yet to deal with the solution. Hopefully this will be corrected in the near future.
I've owned this Schwinn 430 for about 2-3 weeks now, after owning a cheaper elliptical that gave me so many problems. I have to say this machine is well worth the extra money, extremely similar quality to a machine you'd find at a gym and under $1000. The resistance is very good, I will use a middle level at the machine at gym, but only use the easiest level on this machine. Also, so far it is QUIET and smooth. Yay! It is very sturdy, fan works well...I have no complaints. You won't ... regret spending a few extra $ for this machine.
This elliptical is awesome. It was easy very easy to built. And it's quite extremely quite. Well worth the money spent on it.
This elliptical is easy to use and offers a great workout. My husband and I both use it daily. It has held up well the first month we've had it!
I wanted a piece of equipment to use at home that didn't break the bank. This works really well and like I said, the price was right. It took me about 2 hours to put it together by myself. The resistance levels are no joke. You can get a good workout with this. The only complaint/concern is that it rocks a bit when I use it. I have it on carpet so maybe that is why. But if the foot rods were a little longer, it wouldn't rock as much.
I did my homework. I was looking for a gym like experience without breaking the bank and I found it. Assembly was not overwhelming, I took my time and it may have taken me between one and a half to two hours to assemble. The machine is really quiet (I wasn't't looking for that but I think it is a good thing). It seems like it will last a long time and I am very pleased with the purchase.
This machine isn't what I thought it would be. It it isn't stable and it rocks when in use. I would have returned it but I had already pay for assembly. Will just have to make the best of it. I had tried a different one in store (same brand ) it was better.
Initial opinion is positive. I was worried about moving 250+ pounds of equipment down to the basement--came in manageable pieces (none over 70 lbs.). With the help of my wife, got everything downstairs. Was worried about putting it together--no problem, easy directions. Had bad squeak when first started using it, but--no problem. When I discovered where the mysterious last screw went, the squeak went away. I'm sure the $2000 machines have more features, buy I'm satisfied. I'm 65. In 30 minutes I ... sweat through my shirt and get my heart rate over 120. That's all I wanted. Hope it lasts!
I bought this 470 model about one week ago and have used it every day. I bought it at the local Academy (had to check who had one in stock in a box). Got a great deal since it seems like this model will be discontinued soon at Academy. It took less than 2 hours for assembly by myself. Initially the monitor was not working (would be put in pause mode after 0.4 seconds because the monitor was not monitoring stride) but I took apart the wiring and reconnected each connector carefully and now the ... monitor works great. I love the calorie tracking and heart rate monitor. Also the fan (adjustable angle) and MP3/USB inputs for my iPhone using the enclosed speakers provides a nice workout routine. It is easy to reprogram the incline and intensity level and in the middle of a workout to increase heart rate and calorie burn rate. The finished routine is stored in History (calories, speed, heart rate, etc.). History can easily be monitored to compare goals over time. I haven't used the pre-programmed workout routines yet but will start next week. The pre-programmed routines increase the incline and intensity levels automatically. I can't wait to try them out (mountains, hills, high intensity, etc.) I weight 230 lbs and needed a good quality elliptical trainer to try and lose 30 lbs by Thanksgiving. The quality of this device is excellent. Very quite running (no squeaks or rough/erratic motions). The flow of motion when in your workout routine is awesome. I highly recommend this Schwinn 470 Elliptical Trainer for features and quality. It seems as this device will last for years. You can feel the quality in each stride.
My boyfriend started assembling the gazelle when he noticed the left hydraulic cylinder was broken off. I've called the manufacture 3 times in the past 2 weeks with no results. I spoke with a employee at Academy Sports and i think he will send me a replacement. I enjoy it just hope i get what i paid for.
My recently purchased Gazelle Supreme Glider is seldom idle. I've had it two weeks & have already lost 5 lbs. I am 73 years young, so that's pretty good for me. Great work out for heart, arms, waist & legs.
I bought this about a month and a half ago. I put it together myself, no assistance from my husband. Once I got it together, began using it, and it works you out. It feels like being on one of the larger machines. Except, the cost was less.
It's a good reasonably priced trainer, I am happy with it
I really like the whole size of this equipment and it's simplicity. It is easy on my hips, knees and ankles. Exactly what I needed!
Easy to put together . Well constructed and easy to use
Bought this onsale at Academy. The eliptical part has an issue. The trainer is too harrow. If you are standing up and trying to use it, it wobbles from side to side. Also, the foot peddles are too close to the front and not adjustable. The "bike" portion works pretty good but here's what I had to do. 1st, I added a plywood base that widens the base and fixes the problem with center of gravity. No more wobble. 2nd. I had to buy a larger seat from 3rd party as the existing hurts you after a while. ... Not sure I'd recommend.
I love this 2 in 1 trainer. Its great. I can sit and ride bicycle them I can stand right up and really work my legs. I love love love it. I have been on it everyday since I received it in the mail a few weeks ago ;o and it doesn't wobble at all like people are complaining about. You all must not be putting it together right.
For the price, it is an good product. A little less stable than you might want, but then instability does add to the workout. Variable resistance would be a great improvement, and stability could be enhanced by heavier base feet (but that would trade off portability).
It is fantastic works everything in one machine easy assembly.
I ordered this item at an academy store. The clerk placed the order for me and even credit back the shipping charge. Great customer service for sure. For the price, the air walker is pretty sturdy and very quiet. The other great advantage is that it is foldable and movable. I only wished it had resistant knobs, but only the elliptical with a wheel can have that from my research. Disadvantage will be that it won't be foldable and rather heavy to move. We are happy with our purchase.
I purchased the Gazelle Edge a little more that 2 weeks ago, and I am so glad that I did! It was so easy to assemble and even easier to use! I especially love the exercise video that was included with my purchase. It gives me a thoroughly low-impact workout in about 30 minutes, which fits perfectly into my busy schedule! I highly recommend this glider!
I have owned much, much more expensive elliptical machines, and I've been in love with ellipticals ever since using one to drop 50+ pounds, but I have never been so in love as I am with this one. The only down side is you can't adjust the difficulty (i.e., resistance), but the sleekness, quietness, functionality, and workout this machine provides more than makes up for that. It's a beautiful machine, graceful and sleek as a gazelle. It hardly makes any noise (just a peaceful swish, swish and ... click, click) while far more expensive ellipticals are very loud and ugly sounding. I can pick it up and fold it into an easy to carry, secure rectangle and put it in my coat closet if I feel like it. The best part is the workout. I was skeptical when I first assembled it, but I am in very good shape and this machine gave me sore muscles that I didn't know I have. While I have been working out religiously for a long time and was already in good shape, this machine -- in 30 minutes a day -- has taken my fitness to another level. I have never been so happy with any of the dozens of fitness equipment I purchased as I am with the Gazelle Edge.
I bought this a couple a weeks ago, got it and put it together. I am disappointed, the compact size is nice, but the large version of the eliptical I had before was much smoother. This one is jumpy and hurts my arthritic joints.
Bought the machine and it was delivered on time and in good condition. Wife had started assembly before I got home and it went together well. Directions were easy to follow. No issues. Works well.
