I've been fishing over fifty years and this is the hottest soft plastic bait I ever used. Just cast it near cover and slowly retrieve and the strikes come on almost every cast. Catches more 2-4 lb bass than anything I've ever tried
This is my go to bait for flipping. It is hard to beat! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
These are the only artificial bait I buy. I've been on the same boat as people using live shrimp, and not even have a bite. I'll throw a Gulp Shrimp out, and be pulling them in left and right! Plus, they're durable, so I can catch a fish, and throw the same Gulp right back out! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We use several Gulp baits for our charters here in South Louisiana. Our Captains prefer gulp since it stays on the hook for such a long time and you can catch several fish on the same bait!
The watermelon red ghost color will always catch fish. On those tough days when you can't get a bite, this is my go to lure. You'll never get shut out. It has an awesome swimming motion. Fish usually hit it hard and swallow it deep, resulting in no missed fish. I've caught numerous bass and even a few redfish and specks. I need to try some of the other colors.
I have been using these vs other minnow looking swim baits this spring/summer and having mostly the same results. I'm the only one catching anything and they are all bigger fish. Now, this is the only swim bait they are hitting. (watermelon ghost). I scanned the whole area with others and this is the only one they hit. I just caught four in 20 minutes. I'm raking them across the moss in about 2 feet of water. It's 100 degrees outside high noon. It's been this way for 3 days now. Get a pack of ... these. If they don't work, hang on to them and try them again later. *or send them to me*
They hit them when they wouldn't hit anything else
I bought these last year and finally got a chance to use them last weekend. The only thing they were biting was the chartreuse with red glitter rigged with a "beetle spin" type spinner arm. Bream and smallmouth bass loved them!
I bought this bait honestly just because it was a Havoc bait and I had such good luck with the Pit Boss. I tied on a white one while fishing one of the clearest lakes in my state. This lake has monster small mouth and you can see them 25+ ft below you. I fished this during the spawn and couldn't get the smallies off my hook fast enough. I even had such confidence with this bait that the second day we went I let my buddy go first with his senko and I still caught 95% of the fish that were on the ... bed, just an absolutely great bait to use on smallies during the spawn.
I use this bait when punching heavy cover in the California Delta, This bait gets thru the heavy cover easy with a 1oz Weight.
These frogs are good, they walk across the water easily and before you know it a fish is hitting your lure. The first day i bought the lure my first cast I hit a bass.
I bought 10 of these and only have five left because I was dumb for using 15 lb. monofilament. I now use 50 lb. braided and haven't lost another one yet. The bass over 5# just love this size frog When fishing the grass or pads you need to hang on because the strikes are explosive when they come.
I am in Southeast and fish for all kinds of fish including crappie, white bass, stripped bass, large mouth, etc. My favorite is crappie. I have used all kinds of crappie lures and Bobby Garland 2'' Baby Shad is my go to lure and Academy Sports and Outdoors is my first stop for it. Academy has frequent sales. The subtle action from the tiny tail of this lure works wonders. You can use it for gigging, swimming, shaking under the tiny float and crappie cannot resistant it. When I need a little more ... action and a slightly bigger meal for the crappie, it use this 2'' Slab Slay'R instead. My favorite colors are blue ice, monkey milk. Buy it and you won't be disappointed. It catches everything under the sun: crappie, sun fish, white bass and sometimes even large mouth.
I like using these along with the baby shads for crappie. I rig them on a 1/32 oz jig head under a float and fish the bluffs and tree tops with great success. Favorite color is blue ice.
I pitch & flip a jig for bass a lot. This is my 'go to' jig trailer. It slows down the fall of the bait and gives it tremendous action. This is also great with a 'swim jig' The size is perfect.
Bought these baits 3wks ago, great choice, 6lbr 2nd trip.
The red fish and trout seem to really like these, in my fishing area. Good action .
Great replacement bodies for TTF speckled trout rigs. Went through 5 packs of them fishing 2 weeks ago. Caught over 200 sand and speckled trout with my Dad and a friend. Great buy.
Used them to catch a lot of trout and ribbon fishes.
I caught fish on this worm! What else is there to say?
I have used several different brands of finesse worms and I always come back to these. They are durable and have great action. They catch fish, that's what matters to me. I just wished academy carried a few more colors.
Great all around bait that holds up well too trout, reds, and even flatties. With great action and multiple ways to work it to get it out in front of a monster.
Trout seem to really love these in the surf, let sink 3 second, pop a couple of times and keep the slack out off, the hit on the fall
I use these baits for all sorts of fishing. I have caught crappie, perch, white bass and largemouth on these baits. Great price for a great product. Will be buying more.
These baits mimic a pogy or shad. With the Procure scent Flounder can't resist when worked slow.
Ordered plastic baits got them in quick order Just what I ordered
I have been buying these for years now and they just work.
I fish the clear/red glitter under a popping cork for trout. The baits hold up well after catching multiple fish. I have also free-lined the shrimp and caught several flounder.
GrandeBass mega tail worms have become a major part of my tournament arsenal. I always have a Texas Rig tied on with one of these worms, give them a try and you will understand why.
Can never go wrong chunking a Devil Jerk at these yellow mouth and Rubber lips. They go crazy for their action and slow suspending behavior. Its a must have in any fishermen s tackle box
This bait and all the other Paul brown baits have caught me many limits of reds and specs.
Fish it multiple ways.. great bait for multiple situations
Great bait in open water, but especially through grass. The action made by the 'paddle' tail draws bass to it. Doesn't have to be fished slow: in fact the tail-action works best with quick twitches. Another plus is it can be cast a long way, so you don't have to be right on top of the fish. Rig it with no weight, just by its self. Still casts great and has a slow fall when twitched lightly. DO keep slack out of your line because they hit it with out you feeling it a lot of times. Load up and set hook hard!
