Been fishing them since they came out and you can use them on a single hook, behind a jig, on a spinner bait or chatter bait, but the best thing to remember is to use them. They catch a lot of fish , but not in the bag. What a great bait with great action, with lots of smell, just don't put them in a coat pocket.
I have been fishing with this for a coupe of months. It is my go to lure when nothing else is working. I have caught many very good size largemouth on it. I use the green pumpkin color and fish it weightless in mainly the lily pads. It does tear easy after a few bass but it is well worth the money. It is extremely simple to rig on. The green pumpkin is a dark color but I have been able to see almost everyone of the bass hit it. I am very satisfied with it.
I'm a fishing guide out of south Texas and I use lures only. This lure acts just like a shad and fish just love it
The Gulp! Jerkshad just keeps on getting bit when other baits don't. We fish it low & slow on the breakwaters & jetties here in Southern California. We also fish it fast through the kelp and shallow eelgrass on the beaches along the coast and at the islands as well. We don't leave home without a few packs on board. PS: don't let anyone tell you it's only a small fish bait, we've caught some really nice large calico, sand, and spotted bay bass on the jerkshad. We usually rig it on a lead head, ... with weights ranging from 1/4 to 1/2 oz. Some guys drop shot it here as well.
Bottom line they catch fish! I use them year round!
My husband and I are avid saltwater fishermen. We can always rely on Gulp! Shrimp to get the job done. Realistic and obviously appealing to several different species of fish. No other brand performs better! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've been using the black or black and blue Grass Pig bait for a little while now, and love it! I've rigged it weightless, weighted, as trailer and my favorite method on swinging jig heads. Its a larger presentation than a standard worm and i can feel the action of the swimbait tail. Nice work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I purchased these a while ago and thought they were okay; but really didn't use them a whole lot. But now I have found a permanent use for them and love them. I use the 3-1/2 Jr. version as a trailer for my Chatterbaits and Swim Jigs. With either the 1/4 oz. mini chatterbait or a 1/4 oz. swim jig the size on these is perfect and the additional action it provides is unmatched and the price is certainly perfect as well. These hold up very well; I can get away with using only one or two of these ... per trip out on the water. Durability is A+; colors are perfect; the action is awesome and the price is "CHEAP". Do yourself a favor and start throwing these as a trailer.
A new discovery for my fishing experience. This bait used weedless has been the best surprise for me in the past 10 years of my fishing. Works great in every pond or lake in East Texas.
The watermelon red ghost color will always catch fish. On those tough days when you can't get a bite, this is my go to lure. You'll never get shut out. It has an awesome swimming motion. Fish usually hit it hard and swallow it deep, resulting in no missed fish. I've caught numerous bass and even a few redfish and specks. I need to try some of the other colors.
I fish the Dularge area a lot and this year this is all the speckled trout want. Matrix Shad Magneto. The last six times I went fishing I only used the Matrix Shad Magneto and limited out each time. This bait works great.
I use this bait in MS and LA and have found that it will catch fish when other baits will not work. You can fish it on bottom or under a cork for very good results. Speckle trout love it. "BUY THIS BAIT, YOU WILL CATCH MORE FISH EVERY TIME YOUR ON THE WATER."
Great replacement bodies for TTF speckled trout rigs. Went through 5 packs of them fishing 2 weeks ago. Caught over 200 sand and speckled trout with my Dad and a friend. Great buy.
Great for fishing under the lights, had a trout on every cast
Great all around bait that holds up well too trout, reds, and even flatties. With great action and multiple ways to work it to get it out in front of a monster.
Trout seem to really love these in the surf, let sink 3 second, pop a couple of times and keep the slack out off, the hit on the fall
I use these baits for all sorts of fishing. I have caught crappie, perch, white bass and largemouth on these baits. Great price for a great product. Will be buying more.
Excellent product. Would highly recommend if you have never tried them.
Bought to catch specs but warmouths loved them! Nice
This is a super bait and colors are great. Bass love this lure especially big bass.
Havoc baits have been money in my pocket!! literally. Been using these Boss Dog since they came out. Do your self a favor and try these or any of the Havoc baits.
Tough, brilliant action, I used the new penny on trout-caught about 8 trout, several rock bass and pinfish, and three reds on THE SAME BAIT! The only thing that destroyed it was a puffer fish
Great bait love the action and the durability will purchase more in the future.
Strawberry with black eyes was killing the Trout at Baffin Bay last weekend. The H&H lures are half the price of DOA shrimp, and I out fished every DOA shrimp with my half priced lure!!!
very productive. have caught many fish on the worm
This is my go to swimbait when nothing else is working. The storm swimbait does swim on its side from time to time but by bending the loop it can be fixed. Its durable and great action cant go wrong with the price and this bait
I bought this about a week ago and it works great. Best lure I've used!
My cousin and I have found a new use for these. They're designed to catch Crappy but we used them to catch Trout and they work Great!!
I have been buying these for years now and they just work.
I fish the clear/red glitter under a popping cork for trout. The baits hold up well after catching multiple fish. I have also free-lined the shrimp and caught several flounder.
I was skeptical at first but I bought a pack of D-Bombs to see what all the fuss was about. After throwing a jig, beavers, and Pit Bosses on my last scouting trip I decided to try these baits. All I can say is they eat um. Often. I'm a firm believe in the D-Bombs now. Not to mention they smell so good I want to eat them myself. My only complaint is that they need to make one in a "blue saphire" color. Other than that, I 100% recommend these baits to anyone who wants to catch more fish.
Wow, so far these lures have caught 11 bass with 7 being over 3lbs. at Lake Guntersville, Alabama.
