I first bought this bait five.years ago while.on TDY to Washington (state). I brought it back tp Hawaii and tried it out on the peacock bass we have here. I was not surprised at how well it worked. I have since tried it out on the umbrella rigs that I use and they work equally as well. When I saw that they were on clearance, I bought 100 bags because I am afraid that you will be discontinuing the bait. I will use this feedback form to request the continuance of this bait (in the 2" ... size). Respectfully, Paul Lacerdo
I am from Jamaica, a little town called Black River. My friends and i have been using the 4'' and 3'' Firetiger swim shad to catch snook, more so the 4''. Let me tell you, we dont need any other bait for snook because it is the 'baddest' bait we have ever used. We swear by it. There is nothing like it. I have fishermen begging me to order packs for them. I recommend it to all my fishing buddies all over the island. If I had a thousand packs they would be all gone in a minute. Hmmm I need to get ... into the business. We loooove Mr Firetiger.
I've been fishing over fifty years and this is the hottest soft plastic bait I ever used. Just cast it near cover and slowly retrieve and the strikes come on almost every cast. Catches more 2-4 lb bass than anything I've ever tried
I have been using these for around 2 years now. Have won tournaments and caught my PB on it. It's amazing.
Been fishing them since they came out and you can use them on a single hook, behind a jig, on a spinner bait or chatter bait, but the best thing to remember is to use them. They catch a lot of fish , but not in the bag. What a great bait with great action, with lots of smell, just don't put them in a coat pocket.
I am an avid user of this particular bait. No matter where I go I can catch fish whether its used as a jig trailer or texas rigged I know I'm going to catch em. This bait rates in my books a 10 out of 10. This action is awesome for all seasons no matter where you live. I recommend Berkeley baits to everyone i encounter on and off the water that wants to know more about the sport. All and all a great bait for wherever your next fishing destination is. I will always have them in my tackle box.
I've been using the black or black and blue Grass Pig bait for a little while now, and love it! I've rigged it weightless, weighted, as trailer and my favorite method on swinging jig heads. Its a larger presentation than a standard worm and i can feel the action of the swimbait tail. Nice work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought some of these last year, near the end of the season and was extremely pleased and have since bought 6 other bags in various colors, they are by far the best soft bait I've ever had the pleasure of using, the bass love them. The weight of them is great, makes for easy casting. The juniors work well too though I find the 5' ones get more hits than the juniors, they are especially great in shallow areas that have weeds. I haven't used any other lure this season, and have been bringing home ... bass every time I go out which is a vast improvement over last year's efforts, large mouth bass eat em up. I've caught anywhere from 8 inchers to 19 inchers on the 5" grass pig.
I fish the Dularge area a lot and this year this is all the speckled trout want. Matrix Shad Magneto. The last six times I went fishing I only used the Matrix Shad Magneto and limited out each time. This bait works great.
I use this bait in MS and LA and have found that it will catch fish when other baits will not work. You can fish it on bottom or under a cork for very good results. Speckle trout love it. "BUY THIS BAIT, YOU WILL CATCH MORE FISH EVERY TIME YOUR ON THE WATER."
These bait are priced and packaged great! You just can't go wrong with this color
Killer bait for big bass in El Salto so I'm told. I can't wait to use them! I used to live in Florida and used them down there with really good success.
Which is better than not catching any fish per worm. And they do catch fish. Now, when one knows which color to order, and Academy has them, and they deliver them at a decent price, there is not much more one can expect. So, the really important thing, the thing I probably can't talk about due to some PC policy is that if you were buying something else, something that you weren't absolutely sure that you were buying, Academy has a return policy that is better by far than another big box store ... who runs ads and the initials sound like a major manufacturer of automobiles. Worms? Probably not a big deal. Electronics.......trust me.........BIG deal. Bottom line: Academy +1; Zoom +1
Great worm... Excellent qty per pack. Good pricing at Academy! Catching some good fish on the plum!
Booyah has a real winner with it's Padcrasher series. Not only are the Padcrashers fish catching machines, but they are also considerably less expensive than the other brands such as Spro. My personal best bass (9lb-15oz.) was caught this spring on a Bullfrog colored Padcrasher. The only two improvements I would suggest are to cut off 1/2 to 1 inch of the legs and open up the gap of the hooks (which are Gamakatsu by the way) to increase the strike to hook up ratio. I have a padcrasher that has ... caught over 75 bass and it is still going strong.
I have had this frog for awhile now and it has always done good for me. Works very well on the thick and in open water for its popping action. Definitely way worth the price and coming highly recommended from me.
Great replacement bodies for TTF speckled trout rigs. Went through 5 packs of them fishing 2 weeks ago. Caught over 200 sand and speckled trout with my Dad and a friend. Great buy.
Used them to catch a lot of trout and ribbon fishes.
These baits are very effective for Winter Trout here in the East where our water is in the mid 40's to 50 degs. The name "floating" is a misnomer as they do sink but very slowly. They allow the Specks to have time to look at the lure and if worked slow enough to react with a reaction strike after being twitched and left to sink slowly.
Have caught many keeper sea trout on this Lure......excellent buy !
I can't wait to get these in the water to catch some nice flounder and puppy drum!!
soooo happy I found these. They catch fish and don't cost too much
I started throwing these about a year ago and they are my go to for crappie, and sometimes even catch bluegill and bass! They flat out catch fish. Sometimes you need to slow down or speed up your reeling speed but there are no fancy movements in retrieving this bait. The salt and pepper is my go to confidence bait and have never gone home empty handed when throwing one of these bad boys.
I almost always start my fishing trips using the shad pole lures. They work excellent for everything from crappie, walleye, bass, and catfish. If I haven't caught anything in the first half hour with this lure then the fish are probably not gonna be biting at all. The lure size and rotating tail make them irresistible to hungry fish.
bought these to fish lake of the ozarks in watermelon red. buddy had junebug we won tournament by 6 lb also had big fish would recommend these to anyone who wants to catch fish and lots of them.
caught my pb on this worm and use it on hot summer days
I have purchased these in the past at the Academy in Palm Bay and they worked great on Reds and Trout in the Indian River. Just tried them here in Maryland and the Stripers love them also!
Thanks for being so quick in getting my order to me, got everybody beat! And you have very consumer friendly employees.
Strike King Perfect Plasticc 5" Caffeine Shad Lure One of the best bait I have used here Florida
What a great bait! we've have caught many great bass, bluegill, and catfish using this storm (2", bluegill color), primarily in farm ponds. Couldn't be happier with it.
This is my go to swimbait when nothing else is working. The storm swimbait does swim on its side from time to time but by bending the loop it can be fixed. Its durable and great action cant go wrong with the price and this bait
Limit out on reds and speckle trout - I recommend this LSU lure with 1/4 oz jig head
big bite baits are the only baits I use, and academy sells them cheaper than anyone. totally satisfied!!
Excellent color and action, soft yet does not tear easily
