I first bought this bait five.years ago while.on TDY to Washington (state). I brought it back tp Hawaii and tried it out on the peacock bass we have here. I was not surprised at how well it worked. I have since tried it out on the umbrella rigs that I use and they work equally as well. When I saw that they were on clearance, I bought 100 bags because I am afraid that you will be discontinuing the bait. I will use this feedback form to request the continuance of this bait (in the 2" ... size). Respectfully, Paul Lacerdo
5" and 6" Powerbait Swim Shads are one of my go-to baits for catching big landlocked stripers. Hooks are sharp and baits are durable. The eyes are not always glued on good and you will lose them sometimes. I really hate to see the 5" and 6" models discontinued. C'mon Berkley, bring them back!
YOU wont believe it till U try it UNREEL STUFF JUST PLAIN AMAZING
Fishing for Snapper at Houhoura New Zealand with both Nuclear Chicken and New Penny out did fresh bait. We were catching 12 to 15 nice snapper in just a few hours! Great fun, great lures!
AH***MAZING the only problem I can see is they are soft and don't last long BUT BUT who cares they do catch fish
I saw these shrimp on John Skinner Fishing on youtube and had to try them for myself so I googled gulp shrimp and checked this site out. Today was the first time I tried them out with the same setup John had and it worked wonders. Blue fish were biting right off the bat and same with fluke. I am definitely going to purchase more varieties of these.
I've been using the black or black and blue Grass Pig bait for a little while now, and love it! I've rigged it weightless, weighted, as trailer and my favorite method on swinging jig heads. Its a larger presentation than a standard worm and i can feel the action of the swimbait tail. Nice work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this a while back to use as a swim jig and chatterbait trailer and it works great. It adds that bigger profile on my bait and has great action to intice those bigger bites. Keep it up! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
They hit them when they wouldn't hit anything else
Fished the bluegrass on a 1/16 oz. chartreuse head for two days on Lake of Eygpt, IL. in Crappie USA tournament. We caught over 100 fish in two days. Weighed seven fish each day for total weight of 19.62 lbs. Great bait and tough. We were getting 8 to 10 fish from one bait.
The bought a few packages of these after becoming frustrated with some very closed mouth bass after a series of cold fronts that came through SW Oklahoma, and having very little success with basically everything in my arsenal. These things are awesome! My first time trying them, I caught 15 bass in an area that had skunked me just a few days prior! Since then, I have consistently caught several bass, and a lot of really nice ones. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone!
Ever since I started using these baits, I have ALWAYS caught fish! Either Largemouth Bass in Arizona or both Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass in Idaho. You can't go wrong having some of these rigged up, any style, to catch bass :-)
C.A. used and endorsed it on TV piece. Caught fish and explained how to work the lure. I bought one at Bass Pro for $9.95 and caught specks when no one else did. I ordered several other colors of the originals as well as the Devil from Academy and paid $7.99 with free shipping. Several local guides recommended the Devil and I've caught fish using it. Order arrived in 4 days. I like the products and the service.
Great lure with may uses for many species! Flounder, Drum, Trout, Redfish, Skipjack, Sharks i've caught them all on this lure. Not just for cold weather... Now get out there and fish man!!!
I gave the Mantis Shrimp an average rating due to the bait simply does not hold together long. This is an excellent fish producing bait but Gulp needs to produce it with a bit more toughness. I have noticed the change across the board in soft baits not holding together. I do hope Gulp addresses this problem. Gulp products produce excellent results.
I've been throwing nothing but the mantis shrimp for an entire season now. It has caught just about everything we have to catch here in Central Florida's inshore waters; speckled trout, snook, redfish, tarpon, black drum and more. I believe the extra legs not only wiggle, but slow down the drop of your jig allowing me to work it a little slower. It is now my go to confidence bait.
The lure has great balance and action in still and flowing water. It is versatile and can be fished under a popping cork or just tied to the line. I found the best live shrimp like action was when I just tied it to line with no swivel or leader. The first day I limited out on reds. The largest being 29.5 inches. The second day caught a limit of specs. GREAT LURE !!!!!
I buy them at least once a month. Everyone can CATCH fish with these things.
I bought these thinking they wouldn't work, I just put them on my wifes bream buster so I could do some bass fishing uninterrupted. Boy was I wrong!!!! They work as good as live crickets, only difference is she will bait her own hook now,,, I still have to keep taking the fish off for her but it is fun!!!
I bought some of these after reading reviews. I figured I would keep them in my bag as backup when I have a few minutes to fish on my lunch break. I used them the other day at a small local reservoir and they were even better than I expected. I rigged them with a small adjustable round bobber small split shot and wire hook. I caught crappie and bluegill non stoo for an hour. I even had a pig of a bass that I hooked before it surfaced in a fallen tree and broke me off. Buy them! Fish them! You ... will be very happy.
Fished on a weighted 3/0 swimbait hook in the small lake, caught every keeper bass on the pearl color. Usually fish a ripple shad but the weed over growth was too much and the grass big went to work!
I got this lure a week ago to try a new bait and I'm glad I did because weightless they are deadly!
I just began fishing last year. I tried out the sport of bass fishing. I tried lure after lure until I got these jerk baits! I finally caught my first bass this summer! actually I caught 5 on these jerk baits! I outfished everyone at the employee fishing event my boyfriend invited me too. lol
Bought these a few weeks ago great for dead sticking them stripers
I bought these the other day and first cast I had a nice hook up. The action of the tail is the best I've used. Great imitation and colors are amazing.
Great weight and buoyancy for skipping under trees and dock... also works in heavy cover or open water, the action of this bait is amazing and almost effortless
I bought n caught a ton of crappie on these jigs I recommend
These baits mimic a pogy or shad. With the Procure scent Flounder can't resist when worked slow.
The most durable soft "plastic" baits I have ever used!
Works great for crappie and other panfish. Put it on a jighead and it'll work great.
This is a super bait and colors are great. Bass love this lure especially big bass.
The first time putting this bait to use I caught 2 5lb+ fish and caught dozens of smaller fish with only one. The boss dog has the best action and durability I have ever had in a lizard style bait.
I buy this bait over and over again, catches lots of fish and sells at a good price.
