I use the five inch for pike and walleyes. Swims good the fish like them even if the eyes fall off
My partner and I were fishing Lake El Salto in Mexico in July 2016. We located fish with the 10 inch power worm black/blue. When that bite slowed down we started using the 4 inch pre-rigged swim shad (chartreuse shad). When we finished the ore or two hours of fish every third or fourth cast, we had caught more than 60 bass that averaged 4.5 to 5 pounds. A good day for Lake El Salto, a GREAT day for any other lake!
I've been fishing over fifty years and this is the hottest soft plastic bait I ever used. Just cast it near cover and slowly retrieve and the strikes come on almost every cast. Catches more 2-4 lb bass than anything I've ever tried
I have been using these for around 2 years now. Have won tournaments and caught my PB on it. It's amazing.
Been fishing them since they came out and you can use them on a single hook, behind a jig, on a spinner bait or chatter bait, but the best thing to remember is to use them. They catch a lot of fish , but not in the bag. What a great bait with great action, with lots of smell, just don't put them in a coat pocket.
Great colors and action on the water. Product delivered very quickly.
These are the only artificial bait I buy. I've been on the same boat as people using live shrimp, and not even have a bite. I'll throw a Gulp Shrimp out, and be pulling them in left and right! Plus, they're durable, so I can catch a fish, and throw the same Gulp right back out! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Just purchased these in the new penny color and wow! I listened to an old wise man who told me and a friend that he went and caught six reds with this bait...Glad I listened because I caught my largest trout of the season on this...
I've been using the black or black and blue Grass Pig bait for a little while now, and love it! I've rigged it weightless, weighted, as trailer and my favorite method on swinging jig heads. Its a larger presentation than a standard worm and i can feel the action of the swimbait tail. Nice work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I purchased these a while ago and thought they were okay; but really didn't use them a whole lot. But now I have found a permanent use for them and love them. I use the 3-1/2 Jr. version as a trailer for my Chatterbaits and Swim Jigs. With either the 1/4 oz. mini chatterbait or a 1/4 oz. swim jig the size on these is perfect and the additional action it provides is unmatched and the price is certainly perfect as well. These hold up very well; I can get away with using only one or two of these ... per trip out on the water. Durability is A+; colors are perfect; the action is awesome and the price is "CHEAP". Do yourself a favor and start throwing these as a trailer.
They hit them when they wouldn't hit anything else
I pretty much fish these exclusively since finding out about them several years ago. I dont have to even try anything else, these produce unreal numbers of crappie as well as other species. I fish them with 1/32 - 1/16 oz sickle hook jigheads.
These baits mimic a pogy or shad. With the Procure scent Flounder can't resist when worked slow.
Ordered plastic baits got them in quick order Just what I ordered
Good value and great action for summer bass. Works well as a jig trailor
I just picked them up and its my first Berkley product that I've ever used. Great thing about this bait is that there is no wrong way to fish it. Buy some you won't be disappointed.
Fish it multiple ways.. great bait for multiple situations
Great bait in open water, but especially through grass. The action made by the 'paddle' tail draws bass to it. Doesn't have to be fished slow: in fact the tail-action works best with quick twitches. Another plus is it can be cast a long way, so you don't have to be right on top of the fish. Rig it with no weight, just by its self. Still casts great and has a slow fall when twitched lightly. DO keep slack out of your line because they hit it with out you feeling it a lot of times. Load up and set hook hard!
Fished on a weighted 3/0 swimbait hook in the small lake, caught every keeper bass on the pearl color. Usually fish a ripple shad but the weed over growth was too much and the grass big went to work!
I'll let you in on a little secret; BEST trailer for a Z-man 1/4 oz. Chatterbait ever made......just sayin........
I just purchased the Berkley-Havoc Juice Worm June Bug and Smoking Shad colors on Dec.28, 2015. My first cast with the Berkley-Havoc Juice Worm June Bug color landed a 3 lb. Large Mouth Bass. The Bass hit the Berkley-Havoc Juice Worm hard as the worm was sinking. I gave the Berkley-Havoc Juice Worm Smoking Shad color a try which resulted in landing a 2 1/2 lb. Large Mouth Bass on the second cast. The tail on Berkley-Havoc Juice Worm has great action. I will be purchasing more in the future.
Got these at a great price love the color red shad works great where I fish and they have great action in the water only got to use it once so far and they work great
I have been using the regular sized panfish assasins for a long time with great success. I got these for the extra lenth of tail and figured it would have more subtle motion which it seems to. I wish they would consider more colors but the ones they have work great thus far. I cant wait to use them again. I was able to pull quite a few crappie out during the summer heat.
Use these every time I go crappie fishing in Lake Conroe. Love them!!
This is my go to swimbait when nothing else is working. The storm swimbait does swim on its side from time to time but by bending the loop it can be fixed. Its durable and great action cant go wrong with the price and this bait
I bought this about a week ago and it works great. Best lure I've used!
have several fat boy lures. great action, trout and reds both can't resist
These baits are very effective for Winter Trout here in the East where our water is in the mid 40's to 50 degs. The name "floating" is a misnomer as they do sink but very slowly. They allow the Specks to have time to look at the lure and if worked slow enough to react with a reaction strike after being twitched and left to sink slowly.
Tried everything else. Hands down, the killer shads rule the white bass.
We have had trouble finding these in the bait shops - really happy to find them on Academy's website
I use this as a trailer for my Spinner bait. The pearl white twin tail that follows a chartreuse and white skirt are a great combo. Drive fish CRAZY
The action of the Provoker drives trout, redfish and flounder wild. It is the only soft bait in my tackle box now. MirrOlure hit another home run.
One of the best lures on the market, for a great price.
Can't beat this bait.its action is unreal.out-fishes all other grubs, period.only drawback is that ya can't buy in bulk.12 pic. Packs only! Gene larew needs to address that.
This works well for casting and trolling. The tab on the tail really gives it action. Crappie seem to like it!
