This one Never fails! This lure is a sure fire winner! Pure gold on the salties!
Bought these baits a couple weeks ago The action is lifelike and the trout can't resist them. Highly recommend
AH***MAZING the only problem I can see is they are soft and don't last long BUT BUT who cares they do catch fish
Just purchased these in the new penny color and wow! I listened to an old wise man who told me and a friend that he went and caught six reds with this bait...Glad I listened because I caught my largest trout of the season on this...
I've been using the black or black and blue Grass Pig bait for a little while now, and love it! I've rigged it weightless, weighted, as trailer and my favorite method on swinging jig heads. Its a larger presentation than a standard worm and i can feel the action of the swimbait tail. Nice work! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Love this lure, Pearl White and Watermelon Candy is my favorite. You can run them slow a long the bottom in the summertime and it never changes the action of the bait. Caught a lot of big fish on the Grass Pig and it takes a lot to shred these lures they are the longest lasting soft plastic baits I own.
The watermelon red ghost color will always catch fish. On those tough days when you can't get a bite, this is my go to lure. You'll never get shut out. It has an awesome swimming motion. Fish usually hit it hard and swallow it deep, resulting in no missed fish. I've caught numerous bass and even a few redfish and specks. I need to try some of the other colors.
Just got on a lease with a pond on it. Was told if I want to catch anything I would have to use live bait. Picked these for the price and put them on my homemade Alabama rig and within a few casts, caught two, two pound bass in one cast! I have the pics to prove it. These are easy to rig, because of the grooves for the hooks. I would have bought more but only found the one package.
They hit them when they wouldn't hit anything else
a man gave us this one day on the lake while we were not catching nothing . well he gave us these things in the electric chicken color. we wore them crappie out!!!!!! we also caught some catfish off of them too
Good value and great action for summer bass. Works well as a jig trailor
Have bought too many of these baits not to right a review. Absolutely wonderful bait! Underwater the flanges look great. I use this on Shakey heads and Texas rigs mainly. I use them around brush and they kill bass in ponds and lakes. Overall great bait! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've been using this staple of a lure for a lifetime. When I was really young I only threw them for crappie + bass. Now I know you can use 'em for just about every species. slow retrieve for founder and reds. Faster for trout. You won't regret this buy!
I have used several different brands of finesse worms and I always come back to these. They are durable and have great action. They catch fish, that's what matters to me. I just wished academy carried a few more colors.
have used very much very effective on a drop shot. just great worm
I like mixing Vortex and Matrix for the best results on specks and flounder. The Vortex tail action is unmatched and works great with the unpainted H&H Round Red Eye 1/4 ounce Jig Heads. Lemonhead(chartreuse), Natural, and black/chartreuse are the best colors we've found on the MS Coast.
Used these in purple haze in Louisiana on a fishing trip. Never had used artificial bait trout fishing much, but these changed my mind. Caught trout, redfish and flounder on these. No more live bait for me
Fast delivery. Great bait. Been tearing up the Reds and Specks with it.
GrandeBass mega tail worms have become a major part of my tournament arsenal. I always have a Texas Rig tied on with one of these worms, give them a try and you will understand why.
I always have a stock if these to fish at night on a 1/8 or 1/4 ounce jighead with a minnow shaped head. All black bass and other giant sunfish hit this regularly. Wish I could find this in daytime natural colors to complete an arsenal.
They're inexpensive and for the money you get plenty of them; perfect for beginners looking to start fishing on a budget.
Wade fishing, I use the plastic shrimp with a click slider float. On the sand bottom flats of upper Pensacola Bay I caught red drum in April and wading the grass flats of the Intercoastal Waterway speckled trout in May/June 2014. I haven't tried other colors, onkly the "natural" w/ gold flakes. Each outing, I start with a gold spoon, then use a MirroLure plug but never get any hits on those. I always catch everything on the H&H shrimp. The shrimp is on a woven leader 2.5 feet behind the click ... rattle float. The combined weight gives me a casting distance of 50 crank distances downwind (about 100 feet).
Great bait in open water, but especially through grass. The action made by the 'paddle' tail draws bass to it. Doesn't have to be fished slow: in fact the tail-action works best with quick twitches. Another plus is it can be cast a long way, so you don't have to be right on top of the fish. Rig it with no weight, just by its self. Still casts great and has a slow fall when twitched lightly. DO keep slack out of your line because they hit it with out you feeling it a lot of times. Load up and set hook hard!
Fish it multiple ways.. great bait for multiple situations
I've been fishing under the lights at south padre island, arroyo city and port mansfield Texas. The simple fact that these lures are small, paddle tail and glow in the dark make them a threat to trout. All I do is cast far, reel high and fast. As soon as the lure hits the light stop and lower the rod tip. The fish get it on the drop. If not, count to three and again reel high and fast. then let it drop again. I use a d shock 6 1/2' spinning combo with 10 lb stren clear blue. Enjoy!
The go to rig for catching Trout and some times Redfish. Great product
Red Fish killer. Nothing but Zman in my boat for me. Here's the proof.
Works great for crappie and other panfish. Put it on a jighead and it'll work great.
I used the color and caught a lot of crappies and trouts
Crappie love it first time using it didn't have but one pack and used them all but now I am ready for them
