I first bought this bait five.years ago while.on TDY to Washington (state). I brought it back tp Hawaii and tried it out on the peacock bass we have here. I was not surprised at how well it worked. I have since tried it out on the umbrella rigs that I use and they work equally as well. When I saw that they were on clearance, I bought 100 bags because I am afraid that you will be discontinuing the bait. I will use this feedback form to request the continuance of this bait (in the 2" ... size). Respectfully, Paul Lacerdo
Best swimbait out there. Sadly for me, it looks like Berkley has discontinued the 5" and 6" models, which were the only ones I used.
I've been fishing over fifty years and this is the hottest soft plastic bait I ever used. Just cast it near cover and slowly retrieve and the strikes come on almost every cast. Catches more 2-4 lb bass than anything I've ever tried
I have been using these for around 2 years now. Have won tournaments and caught my PB on it. It's amazing.
I've been using this lure for bass and it's been a fishing catching bait, try is you can't go wrong.
I've used these for 5 years now. Have too many colors. But they all seem to work and I keep buying more! I rig them on 1/0 or 2/0 EWG hooks, Texas rigged, with 1/16 oz or 1/18 oz slip sinker depending upon current. I like the magic or candy blends the most. Recently tried the sprayed grass with good success.
I've been using Gulp for both fresh and saltwater fishing for years now. I'm willing to say it works as good as fresh live bait and sometimes it's better. I don't think color makes any difference so I just keep on using the same chartreuse, and new penny colors. No reason to try anything new with the great results this bait supplies. I do have some issues with the packaging. The bags and the jars leak, eventually. You have to treat them very carefully to maintain the seal. PS got this beautiful ... Drum on a 5-inch new penny Jerk Shad. Little bait, big fish. Tight lines.
YOU wont believe it till U try it UNREEL STUFF JUST PLAIN AMAZING
used gulp shrimp on fluke here in Jersey since it came out in the surf using 2 in tanem on dropper loops with bucktail on the bottom of leader DEADLEY 4inch are the best been surf fishing over 50yrs use 6inch swimming mullet on bucktail 1ounce
Bottom line they catch fish! I use them year round!
I fish the Dularge area a lot and this year this is all the speckled trout want. Matrix Shad Magneto. The last six times I went fishing I only used the Matrix Shad Magneto and limited out each time. This bait works great.
I've been using Matrix shad for over a year now on the Georgia Coast and it is the best paddle tail lure I've used and I've used them all. It has great tail action, is very tough, and very effective for trout, flounder and reds on the GA coast. My most productive colors are green hornet, lemon head, ultraviolet, and midnight express. I used it this afternoon and caught 11 trout on one green hornet lure and it's still fully functional for continued use.
I bought these thinking they wouldn't work, I just put them on my wifes bream buster so I could do some bass fishing uninterrupted. Boy was I wrong!!!! They work as good as live crickets, only difference is she will bait her own hook now,,, I still have to keep taking the fish off for her but it is fun!!!
The fish react no differently to gulp alive than to real crickets. Last long time. Many fish on each one.
Which is better than not catching any fish per worm. And they do catch fish. Now, when one knows which color to order, and Academy has them, and they deliver them at a decent price, there is not much more one can expect. So, the really important thing, the thing I probably can't talk about due to some PC policy is that if you were buying something else, something that you weren't absolutely sure that you were buying, Academy has a return policy that is better by far than another big box store ... who runs ads and the initials sound like a major manufacturer of automobiles. Worms? Probably not a big deal. Electronics.......trust me.........BIG deal. Bottom line: Academy +1; Zoom +1
Great worm... Excellent qty per pack. Good pricing at Academy! Catching some good fish on the plum!
From Peacock bass to Largemouth bass the money minnow is irresistible when the bites are tough.
Purchased few weeks ago seems to be a good bait...
This is my go to bait. I have every color auhhhhhh
Fished on a weighted 3/0 swimbait hook in the small lake, caught every keeper bass on the pearl color. Usually fish a ripple shad but the weed over growth was too much and the grass big went to work!
I PURCHASED THESE FOR SMALLMOUTH BASS AND WALLEYE. I TRIED THEM IN A TUB OF WATER, EXCELLENT ACTION. I KNOW THEY WILL WORK.
I fish the clear/red glitter under a popping cork for trout. The baits hold up well after catching multiple fish. I have also free-lined the shrimp and caught several flounder.
Strawberry with black eyes was killing the Trout at Baffin Bay last weekend. The H&H lures are half the price of DOA shrimp, and I out fished every DOA shrimp with my half priced lure!!!
I been using this bait for the last 6 years. There are times that the specs won't bite on it and I have no idea why. But it works 98% of the time. Try rigging it with 1/8-oz jighead. Reel it in about 1-2 feet/second.
Used them and caught a lot of Trouts at the night.
I have purchased these in the past at the Academy in Palm Bay and they worked great on Reds and Trout in the Indian River. Just tried them here in Maryland and the Stripers love them also!
What a great bait! we've have caught many great bass, bluegill, and catfish using this storm (2", bluegill color), primarily in farm ponds. Couldn't be happier with it.
I bought this about a week ago and it works great. Best lure I've used!
Title says it all. A sure fire bait for speckled trout under the lights. If you can't catch them on these, you're doing something wrong.
Was at the Texas coast watching the trout hit the surface while digging for some bait. Tied on the Double Shad rig, primarily yellows and greens, and caught trout all night long. The next day it was the Spanish Mackerel hitting these things. They took a few tails off and bit through a few leaders so buy extras. The freezer is now stocked with speckled trout and Spanish mackerel.
Accidentally bought a pack of these without paying attention, thinking they were paddle tails. Ran out of other soft plastics and decided to tie one on just to see what happened. Let me tell you, they catch fish. I'm in Bermuda where the water is crystal clear, so everything that hits these can see that it's not an actual fish. Doesn't matter. I've caught barracuda, snapper, squirrelfish, lizard fish, jacks, rock hinds- anything and everything eats these. Ended up buying a few more packs because ... they earned the nickname "old faithful" with my buddy and me. Only color I've bought and thrown so far is opening night. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
These are the only soft plastics I use anymore!!! I will put them up against any other bait. There are 5 of us that live by this lure. I am a fan of the flesh colored ones when the water is a little clearer. I use the plain white when the water is murky.
I use these as add-on attractants for football jigs and spinnerbaits. They create a lot of movement and vibration on the retrieve and bass love it.
Not to big,Not to small,Just the right size and color for my 3/8 oz.Swim jigs. The flutter action attracts the bass.Stays on the jig well also.
