Awesome. Edge to edge sharp clarity and rugged.I have the older 2-12 illuminated long range duplex. Edge to edge clarity and very sharp. A man I met in SAfrica has a swarovsky Z% I believe it is. He liked this scope much better. I mounted it with PRW mounts and rings and solid as a rock. Love this scope. When I got home I bought another the exact same. Rugged also. While riding in the back the driver hit a pig hole and it flung me forward into the pipe rack in the back and the rifle and scope hit hard. Never lost zero. I have also a model 70 Alaskan 375 that kicks very hard. I had a burris signature 2 to 8 on it and it junked it. It now wears a 1 to 6 firedot.

Perfect Safari scope!I mounted this scope with Leopold quick disconnect bases on my Kimber Talkeetna .375 H&H last summer and went on Safari to both the Karoo and the Eastern Cape in South Africa. When I arrived I popped the scope quickly back in the bases and went to check zero at the range. The first shot at 100 yards was a perfect bulls eye! My PH said, shoot again and the second and third shots were less than an inch apart. I was very impressed that the scope was exactly the same as when I took it off in the US and required absolutely no adjustment! As we snuck through the mountains and spotted a beautiful kudu, I was worried that the distance was too far. My fears waned as the shot across mountains dropped a kudu at 385 yards. Next, I engaged a waterbuck, who was 70 degrees above me at 260 yards, from a creek bed and at 12 power, the shot went perfectly through his front shoulder. Additionally, I found that the scope at 2 power was perfect for putting down 3 running warthogs in heavy brush at 10 yards. When we stalked impala in the Eastern Cape, my guide Adrian from Savannah South Safaris dropped the shooting sticks and pointed. I knew what that meant, but when I saw the beautiful impala that was in my scope, I noticed that I had to shoot 3 inches over a rock and that he was quartering away from me. I told Adrian that I did not know if I could make that shot and he looked at me and said "Absolutely! With the setup that you have, I have no doubts." A single shot rang out and the trophy ram dropped! Furthermore, the illumination helped me to place my bullet perfectly on my 41 inch Cape buffalo's shoulder and when dangerous game is on the menu, you need to trust your life with your equipment! I shot 13 animals during the 10 day safari and this scope performed flawlessly in all light conditions and at all distances. Prior to selecting this scope for my hunt of a lifetime, I did quite a bit of research and I could not be happier with my selection. Many Professional Hunters call the .375 H&H the best caliber for a one rifle safari that includes dangerous game, but I say that adding the VX-6 2-12 is the key to completing the package. Thanks for making such an outstanding product!

Great BUTI've used the scope thru last season an I am very pleased with everything about the scope except, you almost need a pair of pliers to turn the power ring.
