Plates and Racks

Now that you have your weight bars complete your home gym with weight plates. The weight plates can be used on the actual bar and used individually for unique workouts. Place weight plates on your back to increase the difficulty of push-ups or you can have them on your laps as you do dips. There are various workouts that you can creatively do through the uses of the weight plates. If you are looking to do Olympic lifting then you will need to turn your interest to our bumper plates. Bumper plates are made with rubber material allowing you to throw and drop the weights on the ground without damaging its surfaces. When doing power clean and snatch often times you will drop the weight and the weight bar midair to the ground and the rubber material will then absorb the impact of the fall.

Weight racks are crucial for organizing your weights and for safety. The power rack allows you to set you weight in an optimal position making it easier to initially pick it up. The squat rack provides a safety net incase the weight gets too heavy and catches it in case you were to fall.
