The sponsor of this sweepstakes is Academy Sports + Outdoors (“Academy”), 1800 N. Mason Rd., Katy, TX 77449 (the “Sponsor”).  Sweepstakes shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all entrants agree to be bound by such.

1.  TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  Go to http://www.academy.com, click on the “Hunting Sweepstakes” image and complete the registration form by entering your name, email address, street address, city, state, zip code, country, daytime telephone number and age group.  In order for the electronic entry to be valid, entrants must click on the “Submit” button on the web site.  By entering this sweepstakes, entrants give their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by telephone, email and/or postal mail.  Entrants must provide a valid email address to enter online.  Where a dispute arises about who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) which is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.  Proof of being the authorized account holder may be required.  LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON AND/OR EMAIL ADDRESS. 

To enter by mail, hand print your name, street address, city, state, zip code, email address and daytime phone number and mail in an envelope to:  Academy Sports + Outdoors, Hunting Sweepstakes, Attn:  Internet Marketing Team, 1800 N. Mason Rd., Katy, TX  77449.  Each mail-in entry must be mailed separately and received by October 23, 2009.   Limit one entry per person.  All entries become the property of Academy and will not be returned or acknowledged.  No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries allowed. 

To enter without opting-in for email updates, hand print your name, street address, city, state, zip code and daytime phone number and mail in an envelope to:  Academy Sports + Outdoors, Hunting Sweepstakes, Attn:  Internet Marketing Team, 1800 N. Mason Rd., Katy, TX  77449.  Each mail-in entry must be mailed separately and received by October 23, 2009.   Limit one entry per person.  All entries become the property of Academy Sports + Outdoors and will not be returned or acknowledged.  No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries allowed. 

The sweepstakes shall begin on or around September 25, 2009. and end on or around October 23, 2009.   All entries must be received by October 23, 2009.   No responsibility is assumed by Academy Sports + Outdoors or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, related entities, employees, officers, directors or agents for lost, stolen, misdirected, illegible or late entries.  Participation in this sweepstakes indicates acceptance of all sweepstakes rules. 

Illegible, incomplete and duplicate entries will be disqualified.  False and/or deceptive entries shall render entrants ineligible.

2.  THE WINNERS:  The Prize Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received, on or about October 23, 2009.   Drawings will be conducted by Academy Sports + Outdoors.  The odds of becoming a winner will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.  The Prize Winner will be notified via email, telephone or UPS.  Any prizes unclaimed seven days (7) after notification will be forfeited and winner will become disqualified and an alternate winner selected.
 
3.  PRIZE STRUCTURE:  There will be three (3) winners.  Prize structure will be as follows:
One (1) Grand Prize Winner of a $500 Academy Sports + Outdoors Gift Card
One (1) 2nd Place Winner of a $250 Academy Sports + Outdoors Gift Card
One (1) 3rd Place Winner of a $100 Academy Sports + Outdoors Gift Card

The gift card may only be used at an Academy Sports + Outdoors store to purchase merchandise.  Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or altered.  Once used, any remaining amount can be applied to your next purchase.  Winners will be responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, if any.  Prizes are non-endorsable, non-transferable and non-refundable.  No substitutions by winner will be allowed.  Academy Sports + Outdoors has the right and sole discretion to replace prize with another of equal or greater value.  Winner will be required to execute an affidavit of the eligibility and release, W-9 tax forms and insurance waiver form that must be returned to Academy Sports + Outdoors within three (3) days of the date of notification, or Academy Sports + Outdoors shall have the right to determine an alternative winner at random.  By entering the sweepstakes, winner consents without limitation and without receiving additional compensation, to the use of his/her name, photograph and/or likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes of Academy Sports + Outdoors.  For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:  Academy Sports + Outdoors, Hunting Sweepstakes Winner, Attn:  Internet Marketing Team, 1800 N. Mason Road, Katy, TX 77449.

4.  ELIGIBILITY:  WINNERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.  Subject to federal, local and state laws, the contest is open to all legal residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.  Employees of Academy Sports + Outdoors and their immediate families and its subsidiaries, affiliates and other related entities are not eligible to enter the “Academy Sports + Outdoors Hunting Sweepstakes”.   This sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law.  All federal, state and local laws apply.  Any deviation from these rules on the part of any contestant will render that contestant ineligible.  In the case of a challenge to these rules by a winner, that person shall forfeit all prizes and awards in association with the sweepstakes.
